Finally a modern rundown of the setup 'within' the modeller. Everyone is using modellers now while touring so rig rundowns are becoming less interesting when they just say 'we use axe fx' and thats it... Learning the artists tools within these units is what we all want to replicate these tones and keep us watching. This is a great start. thank you!

yep. Theyre likely running Ableton, or Cubase since I know Misha uses that in the studio, for backing tracks and midi que changes on the Axe units. All pretty much programmed in and likely there are fail safes too. It's gotta be a blast to setup and run stuff like that.

This bands accomplishment really does include their ability to create these clean tones with space and synth pad sounds via guitar. Their heavy tones are amazing, but the balance is acheived musically when they add these clean parts that allow breadth for the song. Well done Mark. I always enjoy your videos.

Marks so humble, saying he doesn’t think Periphery is known for their “prettier” or spacier songs. At least for me Periphery has always been immense, emotional soundscapes set to the most confusing-yet-amazing rhythms imaginable, and Satellites encompasses that perfectly.
It’s the perfect distillation of what makes Periphery, Periphery in my opinion.

I was eyeing out Seymour Duncans as I had a BC Rich that I put an SH-8 in and when the neck broke, I got a Jackson King V and slapped that SH-8 in there but while looking for said pick up I came across the Scourge pick up and watched a video about it and decided to get that one, my surprise when I realized it was a signature pick up of this artist here when I got it in the mail and saw the picture in the box.
