Even I have failed 3 times. But each time I took out something from it. Now the amount of stress bearing capacity will increase that it is also becoming useful in job and real life. U are the biggest motivator sir

Never saw such an honest and brilliant analysis of failure... I being a UPSC aspirant for the last 5-6 years, completely relate to what that aspirant is going through and what sir has explained.... I am pursuing psychology now, and I was able to move on just because I am understanding myself and my temperament.... It was never meant for me, yes I genuinely want to serve my nation and its citizen, but I realised that I can do that by being a teacher because ultimately I want a peaceful career and life.... self introspection and personality traits are important to understand before jumping into any goal, UPSC teaches us a lot and I am always grateful to this journey!

@@Anonymity369 Hello, please ask yourself, What UPSC is meant for? To serve our nation and citizens right? Keeping beside all the perks and benefits, do you really want to serve our nation honestly?
Will you be able to tackle the challenges of transfers and just a 5 years of tenure to a district when you dedicatedly put your efforts in one department and suddenly you are asked for transfer..
Can you say NO to corruptions involved by the layers of government officials?
Will you be able to handle the pressure of 24 hour duties?
The most important thing is what do you want in the long term? How do you see yourself growing?
Aisa toh nahi ki sirf social media par dekha aur logon ko aur shuru ho gaye UPSC ke prep me?
So, pls do introspection why do you want to become a civil servant? And get a genuine answer, if you can convince yourself, give your 100% effort, and have a plan B, C.... because this has many factors as sir said in the video...
Moreover, in the process, try to learn more, enhance your skills so that even if you couldn't clear (God forbid) you can do better in other domains..
I was weak in CSAT, so i failed in prelims despite the practices, I don't know what used to happen in exam hall, but then I realised I can do better in other fields, may be UPSC is not meant for me... But I love this journey as it made me stronger and sharper...
All the best if you are preparing!!

I left prep back in 2021 after 5 long years career gap. Got a software engg job, and had perfect conditions to resume prep. I tried but was addicted to something else, engineering. But, the question lingered. Why did I waste 5 years of my life into this? And, been following you since your attempts of gamifying upsc and love for psychology. Your words, "agar hona hota toh ho jata, it was never meant for you" will hopefully give me a closure. Thank you.

I cleared prelims.three times in 2020, 2022 and 2023. Missed mains by few marks. This was my last attempt and I again failed in Prelims in last attempt. In my previous attempts, I have scored even 20 marks more than cutoff. This exam is highly luck based.
