- With Brexit looming, Laura and Maria from Impley International Tax and Law in Javea joined Moody this week to clear up - hopefully once and for all - any questions you may have about applying for the new TIE card as an expat living in Spain.

Why do you use the term ex-pat and no immigrant? EU citizens living in the UK are called immigrants. Is this UK exceptionalism at work?
Sorry I do not no ? Ex pat think it’s a English saying ,
Do you think it’s right the way they have treated use ?
Ex pat is when the company you work for has you placed abroad i.e. Employment reasons only, migrant is the proper term.
Hey Dude, Try Antalya Turkey a better deal all around ! Sorry Spain is going down the pan, sell up and ship out...

How true ( got a tax bill today because my partner has paid me to much ( robbing B S D ) never again all my money is now in the uk safe
@@pauladams9472 Hi Paul, I also feel you trusted the system to much here as well. My advice is do not trust/ rely on the System if you do ... you will be F'd.
In Europe or out.Out means you need to follow the rules . The same you have for freigners in Uk.
What's the problem?
Foreigners...
I believe the problem is due to the *transition* which can be very confusing for some especially due to the language & the correct documention forms also. For the TIE application I am referring to.
do you mean British migrants?
Northern Ireland Irish pasport eu citizen. Heaven for us.
Stay that way Colin and eff the Bozo. Feck DUP charlatans.
Off topic ... in germany, some uk citizens started to get the paperwork done about 2 years ago, in 2018. They inquired what would be needed to stay in germany after brexit. Even though the rules were not yet fully known, most got everything done bevor 2021, rsp they got assured that everything will be fine.
@ Manuel Gomez Your apology was heartfelt and respectful. The clarification of the content of your comment was welcomed and I accept your apology with the same grace and respect you have shown. Thank you 🙏🏼
Expats are employees of an international organization posted on other nations. Example: Employees of ITER, UN, NATO, etc. Those do not follow the regular immigration procedures on another side you mean the "UK immigrants" in Spain will need the new TIE document
@Martin Baldwin-Edwards permanent migration is residency, there is no such thing as permanent migration.
@Martin Baldwin-Edwards lol, you realized that your comment was actually all you accused me of being and with absolutely no contribution to the discussion on the topic? an amazing example of stupidity with equal parts of nonsense. Good work.
If they don't they become illigal aliens of the EU.
@@briancohenthepfjmassive.4769 LOL, almost. They will "become illegal Aliens" AT the EU.
Hell... but will remain Brtish.
;-)
@Martin Baldwin-Edwards LOL, sure about that? you should know the UK was not only a member of this discussion, it was the organizer. Small hint. look at Paris and ISRP ....
English immigrants back to England!
By the way I’m paying bloody tax and social security in a country I’m not welcome in all I’ll can say (
@@pauladams9472 Share your grief with 4 million Europeans doing the hardest and most underpaid jobs in your country.
They even receive physical hatred.
LOL
To be fair we deserve that!!
But we aren't all xenophobic Brexshits!
All your personal details are on this TIE card and finger prints and im not a criminal... Tony cuenca
Hi I have been with my partner for over 25 years we applied for Residencia with all papers I got mine but my partner was declined. A. Coz we where not married, b. Her name is not on the bank account. We now need help but have hit a brick wall.
If you're in love marry one another on the cheap. problem solved.
Immigrants have a reason and a right to be in a country
If being in the eu was only ever a political /trading block as we have Been told for decades, now we have left the eu(political/trading block /that means we are still Europeans. Being that why do we need a TIE and why is our green residencia card going too no longer be acceptable in the future.
Brexit happened to expel immigrants from UK. You are receiving the very same legal treatment that Europeans in UK, except you are not harassed. Congrats
If you didn’t vote for Brexit, then I’m sorry this is happening to you. If you DID, though, you get no sympathy from me.
Brits, just go back. You have what you deserve
That's Brexshit!!
If you voted for something else then GET ANGRY, if not you got what you deserved!
@@manuelfg2902 Your comment is Xenophobic! I am a British Citizen, raised in the West Indies, worked and travelled around the world until retirement. I own and maintain a home in both Greece and Spain ( small properties), and depend upon neither country financially. I have always considered myself British but with a European outlook. Because of those who voted for Brexit my entire life has been turned upside down. I have had to apply for residence in Spain because I had to choose. I learnt that in the end I believed in Europe rather than an isolated inward looking Britain. I repeat.....I depend on neither Spain nor Greece to support me. But it has cost me a great deal of emotional stress and financial commitment. So for you make such a comment is disrespectful and Xenophobic. I pay my taxes in both countries and I also bring in income. We Remainders did not deserve what we got. We were denied the right to vote ( for a couple of legal reasons) and for that our world has been thrown completely upside down. Just pause and think for a moment. It is British immigrants like myself, who are probably contributing towards your salary at the moment. I have never earned my income from within Spain. Yet I pay for WiFi, electricity, water, council taxes, food, buy my car, road taxes, insurances etc to Spain ( and quite rightly too), so stop and think for a moment before making such offensive and general disagreeable comments to us BRITS.
