Hi,i have the raptor r too but After every Drive i total my pinion gear do you have the Same Problem and i Drive very normal. And changed the pinion gear in to a Metal one from the Plastic, could this be the Problem?
Ahh, that’s a motor mount issue. When you changed the pinion gear, the mesh on the pinion to the spur gear isn’t aligned properly. Is there any wiggle room for the spur gear? If so, then move the motor until the spur gear can just barely wiggle around.
Ahh, okay. Is the spur gear Traxxas brand or another company? The plastics other brands use sometimes fall apart real quick. If not, then try gearing the pinion up so there isn’t as much torque going to the plastic spur gear, it might help it a little
Oh ok, then the metal pinion gear is breaking? Huh. It might be a gearing issue, maybe too much torque or speed for the little thing. Do you know what tooth it is?
Yeah great footage! Bring on the snow!
