I say Editor Jack should win that one. I do videography as well, so I know how hard it is to pan a shot in perfect frame like that. Seriously nailed that shot Jack!
That dart throw almost could not have been more PERFECT. The top of the arc hit the top of one of the balloons and the very last balloon was hit at the bottom. Absolute perfection!

5:03 is an incredible example of a bunch of laws of physics. The elastic of the balloon is pulling inwards creating pressure and the ball, which is denser, sinks into the surface beautifully until the stress on it is too great and it tears itself open, and the pressure equalizes, leaving the ball floating in the air almost like magic (at least in slow motion). The waves ripple outwards on the balloon like a meteor might do to an ocean on Earth. It's just fun to look at all around, really
Gravity still applies in the vertical direction, and there's no force opposing in the vertical direction. The floating ball illusion was because camera was pretty slowed down.
The slow mo of the volleyball pop is legendary. You've got the rubber tearing in beautiful slow motion, the ball hanging in the air, and then Scott being scott
That's a whole lot of what they do, and they prep pretty well for potential chaos. Even though it looks like they're close, some of that is camera angles. That being said, if a volley ball can pop one of these, a screwdriver or knife handle would pop it, as well. These are balloons, not thick exercise balls. I suspect even the pillow almost did its victim in.
I genuinely clapped and cheered when Herron nailed it with the screwdriver! That was so good! Props to Editor Jack for the filming of the dart too… hero! 👏🏻
That dart shot was absolute perfection. I'd love an analysis of the physics of that throw. It looks like the popping balloons created upward wind to keep the dart suspended.
