- What an awesome day!! We went dumpster diving behind retail shops and found stuff at almost every dumpster we went to! We found so much at the very first stop - can't wait for y'all to see the big reveal at the end (Bones was a big help lol). We also found several pretty plants, romance novels, wellness drinks, and other random items that the thrift store threw out.
We are still having a yard sale, but haven't decided on a time. It might be in the later summer / early fall, so we'll just keep collecting and storing things until then! It's going to be a BIG one!

My parents were alive during the depression. Because of that, they were very frugal and didn't waste. Some of the original restore, reuse, recycle people. I was raised like that. My dad picked up cans clear up until he died. I sometimes went with him on his walks to find treasures. I guess that is the reason why I love your channel

Our small town youth bowling league and special Olympics league took donations of old bowling trophies to repurpose . New engraved plaques were added . It saved families from having to fund raise for them.
Just a reminder to soak the terracotta pots in water for 24 hrs before planting in them 👍
I’ve never heard this, thanks for the tip!
The pots will soak up moisture from the soil quickly, so when you soak it, your plant doesn't get too dry when you first pot it. On the plus side if you over water the plant later on the pot will help soak that up too.
There are different quality levels of terra cotta pots. Flip the pot upside down on a flat surface. Cover the little hole in the base of the container with your thumb. Then, using a metal screwdriver or utensil, gently tap the edge of the container base. If it sounds like a dull thud, that’s cheap terra cotta. If it rings and the sound resonates, it’s a high quality material! The more resonant & high pitched the sound is, the better. Not that it matters much here, but it's nice to know what you have or what you find.

Suggestion: When I saw the bandaids I thought about making up emergency kits for the pantry! If you need help with them I could donate some money or send you some things to make them up.

Buy some miracle grow liquid plant food and mix it with water and give it to those plants and they will bounce back!❤ Love seeing you two together diving!💜💜💜💜

It’s sad that they bin things like books etc I’m from the UK & iv seen our charity shops (Thrift stores) put items like books etc that they can’t sell in a box saying please take free , which is way better then binning them, & they are nearly always taken to 👍🏻 Some good finds today Kelly & Alex 💞 give Bones a cuddle from me 🐈⬛🥰

If you cut those petunias way back, get them into the ground, and water them every day they’ll grow like crazy. I’ve done that with some clearance plants and it’s gone very well. Love your videos!!! ❤❤❤
When I’m going to even look at plants I hid right to the clearance section I’ve even been known to go threw several and weed out the dead ones and put the live ones together more people will take a better chance on a full container of sad plants hopefully bring back to life

How fun watching bones enjoy your haul LOL. That fake security camera, if you don't have one I actually got one to put up near my front door. I want to get real ones but until I can do that I am glad for that. I added a sign that is in the window that says you are being watched :-). I recommend if you don't have cameras up already to go ahead and put it up!

When you find flowers or plants take them home and water them for a couple days with miracle grow. It will help them a bunch. I always wait till the end of the season and they are usually dieing do that and they come right back to life

The damaged cans use a old fashioned can opener the v shaped one to open the can pour into two ice filled glasses and enjoy a beverage together after planting your finds.

If you will set those plants in a tub of water let them soak up water from the bottom, the roots will get more water then set them out they should be fine, also if you by chance boil eggs, pour the wate water that you boiled the eggs in after it has cooled on the plants when you water them. You can also crush the egg shells real fine and put it in the soil it adds calcium to the soil

If you are going to donate the bandaids, you could take smaller amounts and put them in snack bags for the homeless or so more people can get some.

If you are looking for free plants in dumpsters try plant and garden store dumpsters or you can ask the plant and garden stores if they have plants that are going to go in the trash/dumpsters and see if they will give you them for free.

Hi there Kelly, just wanted to say that I’ve been watching you for some year already and I see that the kickboxing has been helping you tone up very well, so I decided to start doing something about my health. I have taken up walking until I can get in better shape to do other types of exercise, which is a must for me, so thank you for that. Love your dumpster diving as well. My husband and I do it also, but not as much as we use too.

If you ever find nice frames with broken glass, you can get a cheap frame from the dollar tree and replace it with that.
