im fidning the videos aren't transparent i cant seem to get rid of the black box around the animated text "lower thirds" templates I found online which are pretty snazzy. Did you have any joy overlaying transparent animated text videos via keynote into imove? cheers.
How do I save my animated keynote? When I added to iMovie, it wasn’t animated. I either didn’t save the animated file correctly or I didn’t add it to iMovie correctly. I appreciate your response! Thank you!!

Hey! Thanks for the video. Question: I want to include an iPhone in my videos just like you have here in this tutorial, but I don't know how to add the iPhone image. Can you explain this please? I know how to do a screen record on my actual phone, but no idea how to add the iPhone overlay like you have here. Seriously appreciate your guidance!
I do it in the video recording and editing software, Screenflow. But you can certainly record your iPhone with the built-in screen recording, and then add that video as picture-in-picture with iMovie.
@@markharris4659 There is no way to blur something in iMovie. The best you can do is to put a rectangle image as picture-in-picture, shrink it and position it to cover that area.

Have you tried Lumafusion on the ipad? I love iMovie on my MacBook air
No. In reality, I do all my video editing on Mac.
How can I use an animated overlay with my iPhone?
You can do basically the same thing as shown here. Just things look a little different on the iPhone in iMovie and Keynote apps.

Should be able to. Try it now with a simple example and see.
How would you add a full screen semi-opaque box?
Do you mean like something 50% shaded? Create a transparent image in Keynote and put a rectangle in there that is some percent transparent.
Nice. That gives a lot more option for title and credit screens.
What about an animation ?
I have a lot of videos on animating in Keynote: www.youtube.com/@macmost/search?query=keynote%20animation

How’d you put the video behind the phone?
Can you use this method also to create letterbox effect like we have in FCPX?
Do you mean like this? ruclips.net/video/649F7dlZio0/видео.html
That was great - thanks!
Do you use the same approach to show the touch gestures on the image of the iPhone?
No. I use ScreenFlow to produce the tutorials and that has a function for this.
