A beautiful rendition of Vince Gill’s masterpiece

Vince Gill is the original artist and also wrote it. He started it after country artist Keith Whitley died of alcohol poisoning. That's where the line "you were no stranger to the rain" comes in. Keith had a song called I'm No Stranger to the Rain. Vince didn't finish the song until the death of his brother. And I've not heard it, but I read that he's since added a 3rd verse. If you want to see a rendition that will rip your heart out, watch Vince Gill singing it at George Jones's funeral. You can feel the love he had for George in the absolute emotion he shows singing it! Great reaction!

Vince Gills is way better!! He wrote this song for his brother that passed & it has been played at every funeral I've been to & that's a LOT!! It's really touching when Vince Gill & Patti Lovelace sing it at George Jonse's funeral!!
