Here's to Soen, who showed up to the afternoon show in Israel in mid-July wearing buttoned up shirts and went through an hour and a half without falling unconscious from dehydration or slipping on their own puddles of sweat and breaking their necks falling.
I was at a concert last week. There was a gap between the bands that were performing. this song was playing andi immediately took out my phone and went too Google music search Haha. What a great song! So glad I found it
Its so much better than the over-quantized protools nonsense most other metal bands toss out nowadays. This song has life. Now, if we can do away with the brickwalling and clipping nonsense (which this album suffers from) it would be truly awesome.
Omair Sheikh Is awesome. I love music but I usually have no idea what the band members names are. Lol. I would rather keep it a mystery . Lopez is awesome for sure though
hubris gubber I mean yeah Soen sometimes sounds like Tool but they're still very different and their own band and it just bothers me how literally every progressive metal band gets compared to Tool simply for having the basic elements of the genre
I don't even like Tool for example. I listen to Soen a lot and other prog bands but I don't listen to Tool. Tool isn't necessarily the benchmark for Prog for me at least.
This band clearly takes some inspiration from tool I'm sorry, it's not just because they're prog that people say that, they clearly do have their own sound though, but they are influenced by tool nonetheless, If you ask me.
@@cgr8826 Martin Lopez, the drummer here, is the one who drummed on most of Opeth's classics: Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries, Deliverance, Damnation, Still Life. Just in case the link wasn't obvious enough already!

just be quiet already! who cares what sound reminds you of what. people always think they sound smart pointing out similarities while they probably fail to hear the uniqueness of a band. yes, similiraities in sound can be drawn but soen has one of the most unique and amazing atmospheres out there so please try to appreciate that.
That breakdown riff is just stupidly amazing
It's absolutely filthy, chubs me up every time
Very Opeth with a bit of Tool. I love this song.
I listen to the song all day and I still can't get enough of it.
C A N N O T T
When my spirit is broken
And my will disconnects
A mirage of existence
Will carry this life into the next ....
This rips my heart out EVERYTIME !
Don't stop making music, please
This riff is great, it reminds me of Opeth, the golden days of Blackwater Park era.

this song screams PROGRESSIVE and I love it!
The concept of an album recorded 100% analogue and sold as a digital download. That's the future, folks.

Espetacular.... caraca como não conhecia essa preciosidade antes ... não consigo parar de ouvir as composições destes caras ...
Ta fooodaaa não consigo tmb parar
I need more than 5 min, simply amazing
Well this is Indeed a good riff
I agree
I concur.
I just started it over a bunch of time to hear the opening riff
I do the same with Opal, the groove is insane. Lopez is a beast

Omair Sheikh I don’t wanna know what the songs are about either. Lol
@@gbaby9629 People tend to mention Martin Lopez because he's the (relatively) popular drummer from Opeth's golden age.
¡Temazo! 🇨🇴
3:34 gets me everytime...
Oh, finally 'allowed in my country' again... I wonder if they had some legal problems with Finland or if RUclips just broke.
Definitely the best song they got. Not even close
I'd take Orison or Ennui over this one.
It’s a rabbit hole. I tell ya...
You were so damn right man
Please stop the comparisons...they are making waves...

Lykaia isn't much like Tool, but their first two albums are
Its ok if a band sounded a little lika another band. Everyband has an influence. For example If you hear dream thester it will sound a lot like rush.
i like this opeth song
Yes. It is. Clearly.
I prefer Opeth by the way. But Soen is Okay.
The first thing that I thought is it sounds like opeth! I'd say that is quite the compliment

Miguel Angel Igor. Awesome. What kind of ritual? If u happen to know. Lol
Is it just me, or is the "remastering" not noticeable? I don't hear any difference to be honest...
This sounds a little bit better, especially on the bass, it is easier to hear with a headphones.
Could you tell me for which song on the Revisited album it's most noticeable?
Yes, bro, Opal for example, shows a great combinaron between the the china plate and the B string, they sound amazing together.
@@elwariorocks Thanks, I'll check it out

Yes, shut the fuck up about the Tool comparison, Soen sounds like Soen, that's it.
.... yeah, they're really not similar. The bass riff a little bit but that's it
Never really liked this song... Now listening to it with decent headphones, and am fucking kicking myself for overlooking like that.
Alfred McKinnon underlooking?
