- Hello listeners, my name is Derrick. I've lost someone very close to me recently, and this song in particular has helped me through the worst of my grief. I hope those who care to listen enjoy. And if you're reading this Evan, thank you for writing these beautfully unique Indie/Rock/Emo arrangements, there aren't enough words to express how much your music has helped heal my soul. P.S. Fellow musicians who know what they're doing, I'm trying to improve my playing, singing, and audio quality of my mic. I'm open to any and all constructive critisism! I'm still new at this, so please let me know if something doesn't agree with your ears and I'll do my best to correct it in future covers. Your thoughts are appreciated!

this continues to be lovely
I came across this song today, beautiful cover. Thank you
I'm astounded at this. There's a core passion here that can't be replicated and it's absolutely beautiful.
Oh gosh I'm a huge fan of your music TakeThePills! You're so inspiring! Thank you so much! I hadn't realized you actually commented earlier on my Gratitude post. I've been working on my singing voice lately, I find it to be a bit pitchy at parts but it's all a work in progress! I've also been very into instrumental music, Midwestern emo especially and basically anything Yvette breathes so it might be a bit before my next vocal cover!
dude this is amazing I love your voice!!
Hey, outstanding cover!
I hope 2024 treats you better
you're inspiring
Great job man! You sound great. As far as musician>musician advice, your mic clips a little bit when you sing louder (also sometimes known as "peaking", when the sound gets distorted at high volume), I think adding a compression filter would fix this. Don't know if you recorded through OBS or what but most recording software should give you a way to add audio filters. Compression and a noise gate are your best friend. Other than that it's great, thanks for this because I was looking for a video that showed the chord fingerings clearly and this does :) keep playing friend
Thank you so much for the advice. I was looking for a solution to this problem exactly! I've shied away from vocal pieces for fear of more peaking, but now I know what my issue is. I'll keep your advice in mind in my future projects, thanks again :)
amazing cover :) so sorry for your loss, hope you are doing okay man
Beautiful cover sir. Hope you’re doing ok these days…
