@@le_ti_lik That's awesome man! I jumped too quick when the Gap RC dark Star 20 came out. It's a nice 2-in drone, but it's the first 2S drone I've had in a long long time. It's fun to go in tight spots but it doesn't have any balls at all! I can only imagine how much fun it is having 4S power on a drone that's small! It has been shipped. Hopefully on a plane and not on a slow boat from China lol What kind and size of battery do you like to use on that drone?
@@pianomans1 I really like how it flies on the dogcom 850mah 4s packs. They're light and powerful and have enough capacity for 5 minutes of mild freestyle or 6-7 minutes of super cruise. It's the battery I've flown in all the clips in this video. As for 4s power in a 2", last clip when I chase the car bro. It's nutts.
The best bang for buck batteries I find to be the GNB 4s 850 gray ones with the blue label. They're a little heavy but I swear they are at least 950mah because they fly longer than any of my other 850mah 4s packs. In this video there's no naked, it' just o3. I have a vista/polar xi20 that flies a naked 8 with that battery and comes up to 240g auw. With the o3 xi20 if you add a hero 10 you have to use a 650mah pack to stay sub250. Imo the xi20 o3 version shouldn't carry a naked, it's better off as a fun quad because the xi25 carries a naked so much better.
@@TheGuigotz i tried almost every battery , the speedy pizza 🍕 is great but a bit heavy, ideally I needed the batteries to be less than 70g to make things work- still experimenting
This one is quieter, more efficent, flies for longer, has better performance and better endurance in general. The good news is you can get most of these perks just by swapping the frame. Won't be as nice as the one in the video (which uses 1205 motors tailored to the frame) but it will be a drastic improvement nonetheless.
Hey bro I was just watching your video again! So the part where you talked about adding that line to the CLI prompt to save you from a possible crash by kicking it into angle mode Just enough to get you under control again. So is it as simple as just connecting the drone to betaflight and typing that line into the CLI prompt and clicking save or are there other things you have to do in the setup to actually make it do what you said it does and what it did in the video. I think I'd like to try that out. In your experience has it ever bothered you by trying to level off the drone when you don't want it to? Thanks man! You're an awesome pilot on those sticks. I wish one day I could get that good 👍
Yup. It really is that simple provided the craft has ducts or bumpers. It won't work with an open blade quad. I've never had it happen out of the blue, it'll only happen when you actually hit something. Here's a little more extreme example of when I was testing a fresh xi25 build: ruclips.net/video/DM5kuCQtIIs/видео.html
I've noticed people look at a flying drone when the suddenly hear it but seem to intentionally look away - I usually watch anything that flies - l wonder why they look away ?
If your goals were freestyle and durability I guess which of the oddity lineup would you choose overall. I’m going between this and the 25 but can’t decide🙈
Very hard question because this flies just as good as a xi25 but a little slower on punchouts. If you need sub250, then xi20, if it doesnt matter then xi25. You won't go wrong with either of them but if it's a fun quad with no naked gopro i'm leaning more towards xi20 than xi25. If you need it to carry a gopro without performance loss then xi25.
The only thing more impressive than the location and flight skills is the capability of this little guy! Seriously didnt think id ever go lower then 2.5 for a cine qwad with full O3 again after my cinelog20 but the capability of this one got me running to get my own in the air ASAP! lol thanks for the new bill! lmao 🤣 and for sharing
Glad you like it! It blows the cinelog out of the water, especially durability wise. Don't forget to use the discount code to get it for stupid cheap. :D
Most definitely. I can also recommend the xi25 if you're planning a naked gopro as it will carry it even easier and is slightly more versatile with better acceleration.
I currently have a Cinelog30 that breaks everytime I breath on it. It carries a GoPro Bones. It's a little over 250 grams. I really need a sub 250 cinewhoop and what thinking about this 2 inch and just using the O3. Again this is for indoor cinewhoop tours. What do you think? I'm open for advice or suggestions.
@@dynamicfpv Thing is, while o3 is pretty damn good for hobby grade stuff, for commercial work you want a gopro. The cinelog series is pretty shit. They fly bad and they are brittle. An o3 xi20 would be perfect for you if you are settling for o3 footage. If you want to carry a gopro on it tho, it will. And it will fly fine albeit slightly slower and slightly less flight time (but slower is something you want for indoor tours so that's good). I recommended the xi25 as it can fly just as slow but it can also fly faster if need be (all while carrying the gorpo), hence it's more versatile. The bones is a pretty heavy naked gopro which is another reason why xi25 would probably be better. If it was a namelessrc naked gopro then that's like 25 grams lighter. Again, if O3 is enough for your needs then by all means, xi20 all the way. :)
10-4. I appreciate the good info. I admit I am a little concerned of the O3's low-light limitations. What I'm trying to do is get a sub 250 cinewhoop with an HD feed that has good object penetration and can carry a naked GoPro for indoor cinewhoop tours. Do you think this is feasible? Also, do you think I can decase the Bones and put in a Nameless RC housing? I don't find any information online for this.
@@dynamicfpv You can save weight and get good object penetration if you use a vista with a nano cam like the nebula pro nano or polar nano. Provided you have good antennas on your goggles. I've done some insane lines through various buildings with my setup (goggles v2 with truerc x2air combo antennas + my old custom built xi20 (250g auw with naked hero 8 and a 4s 850.) Come to think of it that one would be perfect for you. Add me on discord (le_ti_lik) and i'll send you the specs and some videos. As for converting a bones to a nameless case, I can't recall seeing it done but the place to ask is the "NAKED Cinewhoop Community" facebook group.
Built this one exactly like the BNF. Here's the link, slight scroll down for the specs. The magic is in the 1205 motors combined with the frame. oddityrc.com/products/xi20-pro-hd-o3-version-4s
It really is a thing for ducted quads. JB has a video on it. And yup, 4s the whole time. You don't need 6s on lightweight micros. There's no real benefit since they don't sag out on 4s like bigger quads do.
i'm here for the meme video at the end! :D
I ordered one of these last week! Can't wait to get it in the air! Looks like a fun little ripper
it's so much fun bro. First time I flew an xi20 I spent an entire battery inside of a tree canopy LOL

Maybe a little bit, but pilot skill doesn't affect frame durability. 🤣🤣
