hello, still not certain about the functionnalities of PowerM; can the system supply the load during the day time and at the same time charge the battery ? the grid would only be connected to compensate the lack of PV/battery power ?
Hi Oliver, the Power-M can charge by PV and be used simultaneously, depending on your load demand. This can be monitored through our App. We hope this helps your question!
Hi There - The Power M is better suited to off grid or weak grid conditions, Luna is better suited to on grid or strong grid conditions - for more info please send us your contact details and we will put someone in touch to answer your questions.
No it’s not a full hybrid inverter but more like a UPS that supports PV panels. At best we can call it a ‘semi-hybrid’ inverter if there’s such a thing.
Each component has unique serial codes, so can be identified once located. Equipment is not fitted with tracking devices, but can be monitored through the Fusionsolar mobile app, once installed and operational.
Just bought the 5kwa battery with three 5kwh batteries. Brand new in box. Got it installed by certified installer. Doesn’t work. I called Huawei to inform them. I am still waiting for them to return my call despite numerous call. Terrible service and terrible product. Avoid!!
You made this comment about a year ago now. Any update from your end please🤔🤔. The feedback should be helpful for folks just thinking of buying Power M. Thanks.

@@zoe-b4w Good day, if the unit isn't working properly, this should be escalated to the installer, who will in turn query this with the distributor where the unit was purchased. This system does not work properly with solar panels. Only consider it if you are looking for a backup solution. The system cannot do the basics that other systems do ie supply the load with a combination of power from the solar (PV) and power from the grid (Eskom).
@@wandiledlamini3079 As the video mentioned, they also support PV and DG. Could you share how this system does not work properly with solar panels, what problems do you have?
@@BrookWang-ce6im The system supports PV and DG as stated in the video. In fact, the system has three settings for this purpose i.e. Power Supply Scenario, Operating Mode, and Backup Power SOC. Each setting has the following options. Power Supply Scenario: 1) None 2) PV+ESS 3) Mains+ESS 4) PV+Mains+ESS 5) PV+Genset+ESS 6) Mains+Genset+ESS 7) PV+Mains+Genset+ESS I used option 4 because I have the panels but not DG. Operating Mode: 1) PV Power Preferred 2) Backup Power Preferred With option 1, the system charges the battery only using the panels. Also, the system supplies the load only from the panels or the combination of panels and the battery when the panels are not generating enough. You can easily run out of battery backup before the grid outage begins. If I didn't actively manage the usage then I could start the power outage period with only 20% of the battery left which is obviously undesirable. With option 2 (Backup Power Preferred), the system uses the grid even when the PV is generating power which means that I'm not using the power from the solar panels while the grid is available. Backup Power SOC: 1) 20% 2) 50% This setting is supposed to tell the system when to start charging the battery but in my experience, I haven't seen it working the way it's supposed to work. Unfortunately, unlike other systems with documentation easily available online (including videos by other system users and installers), the Huawei system has no available documentation beyond just installation documents and no installer has been able to tell me exactly how the system is supposed to operate.
@wandiledlamini3079 Thanks for your comment. It seems you have some experience and knowledge about our product but are missing some key information. The Power-M is a UPS with the ability to integrate with the solar panels; it is NOT a hybrid inverter. Hopefully, this will help to clear up the confusion.

Hi Team Huawei, can this unit do Blending mode? Like True Hybrid inverters, supplying load requirements during the day through PV & Grid?
Hi there - The Power-M is not a hybrid inverter, it is a back-up power solution that charges from PV or Grid depending on priority.

In simple terms, the SUN2000 is a hybrid inverter while the Power-M is a UPS.
You need to make a hybrid version of this kit. This does not help much when you want to configure and forget. I will wait for your next version.
is already an hybrid power solution system
