I know I am way late to this. I have been listening to the series about the Angel of the Lord/Word of the Lord, etc. I am also currently reading The Religion of the Apostles. Daniel 10 was mentioned in the podcast a few times, as well as where I am at in the book. I went to read it in my esv study Bible.The description reads like the Angel that delivers the message to Daniel is the Preincarnate Christ. In the notes at the bottom, it says that this cannot be Christ because He receives help from Michael and so therefore is just a regular angel. I come from a non-denominational background and am really, really interested in becoming Orthodox. I love the podcast! It fits with the things that I have always believed and gotten weird looks for talking about. Could you please clarify if you have time? Or explain how if that is Christ or a manifestation of God, why Christ would need the help of Michael to deal with the Prince of Persia? My thoughts are along the lines of that the prophecy was already released in Heaven before it ever got to Daniel and so God had already spoken it would be so. And the time for Christ to put away the evil powers was not time yet. So Michael was needed because he would be the same rank and authority? I mean I could be totally off base. Im just thinking of how it would be so! Help please lol. (Thank you even if you dont get an answer to me! Blessings.)
