It's great to see footage of this place. I have several photos of my birthday party there (likely around 1989 when Batman came out) with the animatronic animals and riding the spaceship outside. There used to be the original Village Cinema there outside and you'd walk up the steps to get there. Billy Bob's was downstairs nearby. Now that whole area was taken over by JB Hi-Fi when the cinema moved to Knox Ozone and the original cinema space above hasn't been used commercially till this day (as far as I know). These days it's normal to think of FNAF when you see the animatronics but they weren't thought of as scary then. Kids were more afraid of Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Large pizza places where families had birthdays were more common then but most closed down since and were replaced by smaller delivery focused operations. The Beatles' White album is one of my favourites today but didn't realise Billy Bob's could have been an influence.
Had my own 9th birthday party there in 1991. Great memories of much, much simpler times. Went there a few times after that in school holidays, closed in around 1993 from memory.
Billy Bob's reminds me of an old Simpsons episode where Bart has a birthday party (Wall E Weasels- we cram fun down your throat). Was only in Knox O Zone a few days ago, and it is a shadow of what it was back then. The food hall attached to that precinct was legendary and remember the New Zealand Ice Cream place, where I would often get an ice cream if I was a good boy. Still live in the area today and it has changed an awful lot since the much simpler days of the early 90's
Oh man I loved new Zealand ice Cream place. The old knox days . Cinema , timezone lockins , knox skateboard bowl . I just miss how it looks and those memories growing up in that area .
I have a a lot of photos from bday parties there but no video. Love it. Still have tokens from here . Loved the arcade there until timezone took over .
This place was the best! had my own birthday here as well as attending plenty. I remember the giant rocking horse ride in the arcade area too. So many fun memories.
as an Australian Rock-Afire fan, seeing footage of this little-known location is so cool! animatronics were never really a big thing over here, so when i found out there were, not just one, but two whole Billy Bob's Pizza Theatre locations, i was SUPER intrigued. i hope more information on this location resurfaces one day. i know it has its own merchandise like the felt flag, but i wonder if it had anything similar to the super rare Charlie Cheese plush. i also wonder what happened to the animatronics. i doubt they're in good shape today, considering we know literally nothing about their whereabouts apart from a claim that they weren't sold back to CEI, and the fact that Australia's weather is not very forgiving. also it's so cute seeing the kids say hi to the Billy Bob walkaround at the end :D
@@barrysteakfriessimp_real there was only the one location in Knox. I’ve been searching for the animatronics for 6 years now. If they are found, I’ll be the one to purchase and restore them. It’ll be shown on this channel

Anyone know exactly where this was located at Knox? Was it directly opposite the pink cadillac? Is there any photos of the shop fronts from this time period?
There is one photo of the exterior of Billy Bob's. Its the same building that is now the Salvo's store. I've got a few photo comparisons after visiting a while back, if your interested I can send them to you if you want to shoot me an email. tyler.ramadge@gmail.com

If they didn't have a Showbiz Pizza Place in the UK, is this their attempt on making a British Showbiz Pizza Place due to the fact England colonised Australia?
Ummm, no. Only because a country ran another country in the Commonwealth, it doesn't mean an International FEC (This wasn't affiliated with ShowBiz in any way) is British. It's Australian. That's like saying Since PTT had 2 to 4 stores in Hong Kong and Hong Kong was Commonwealth it means that the stores were British. They weren't.
Shows performed in the video:
Birthday Medley
Beatles White Album
Sal’s Birthday
Can’t believe you actually got footage, gotta say I’m impressed I really thought it was never gonna happen lol and god that is such a beautiful show
