    Loni clearly has a hard time being vulnerable and opening up, but I'm not mad at that at all. It's hard sometimes. I wish she would though just a little

  • @monidani506
    @monidani506 8 лет назад +443

    I think Lonni went through a lot growing up she doesn't seem to like getting deep she seems to avoid a lot of questions or turn them into jokes... which makes sense because people say that comedians have the most pain, but it's crazy she will cry over someone else's story I think she uses other people's stories to let out her pain.

    • @EvaElyse
      @EvaElyse 8 лет назад +23

      She defiantly did go through a lot growing up. She often deflects when asked questions that would cause her to go deeper. it's a shame because I feel like out of everyone on the panel, there are very special, and much needed things that she could share. Hopefully one day she'll feel safe enough to allow us the see the real Loni. Her stories are needed, and a greater barrier on the panel would be broken.

    • @monidani506
      @monidani506 8 лет назад +10

      Someone in the comments on Facebook said that in an old episode Lonni said when she was younger her stepfather would buy gifts for all the kids and for her mother but wouldn't buy anything for her. I know that must have hurt a lot. She dismisses her own feelings by pushing them to the side she does the same thing herself that her step father did to her as a child. She is a comedian so it's kind of like she has trained herself to laugh at her pain or just not address it.

    • @LV2308gmail
      @LV2308gmail 5 лет назад +2

      IamChosen488 she may just genuinely feel for whomever the story is about because she’s that compassionate. I’m an empath and a Cancer woman also and I was watching the Drs, one day and this lady was pregnant and did not carry her baby full term and she had to get a hysterectomy. When I tell you I felt her pain all the way through my tv I did! I literally was in tears. She probably masks her pain so that she doesn’t have to relive the moments, but she won’t be able to heal that way.

    Tamera's photoshop was the best! Looked like she was standing there with her daughter. Anyway, Loni needs to chill with the brown liquor story. I feel like she doesnt get personal when the other ladies do so the show can have moments that doesnt get too serious.

    I'm sobbing like crazy. I'm in my final year studying economics. It's been a bumpy ride for me studying abroad. Most of my friends didn't attend uni after they got a diploma and started their own business and some took over their parents' established companies. I have so many things I want in life. From where I am now is far from where I want to be. When I look at my friends doing so well with their businesses, I felt the immense pressure and constantly asking myself "why am I still studying? For what? Am I going to get a job after this? Or shall I just go back home and live with my family?"
    When Tamar and Adrienne said don't rush your life, God has a plan for you, it makes me feel better. Maybe I'm just wanting so many things and it is just not the time yet. With a constant hardwork , I know I could be successful in life.

      Girl ur doing a great thing by attending uni and getting that degree , businesses can fail but to be honest having a certificate is always a good backup, u don't wanna drop out uni and then regret later so many reach people still get asked if they have degree or not and some even like Tyra banks she still went back to uni and studied so don't feel pressured ur already in ur last year and time flies and u will graduate and be independent, and maybe than u can start ur own business or maybe work and about the finding the job don't worry about it leave that to God , keep working hard and u will get what u deserve

      +Nora Green im going through the same thing. I have been in uni studying science for almost 6 years and im 8 subjects away from graduating. people have told me growing up to give up my dream of being a scientist and do something easy so i can get a job and make money because i might not have it in me to accomplish this. I have moved around the world since I was a baby including during uni which is what cause the delay in graduating. I've been working 40 hours a week while studying full time and i too stress that it might be all for nothing if i dont get a career job. my friends have all graduated, worked part time, lived a stable life and now have career jobs but you know what, the end is near and i keep telling myself that things will work out and not to freak out. Im so glad there are women like this on this talk show to encourage young women like me to keep pushing

    • @MsDanceDiva234
      @MsDanceDiva234 8 лет назад +2

      It is great that you are attending university and by doing that you are broadening your horizons. You are putting yourself at an advantage point. Imagine if the economy fell completely, what would happen to all your friends businesses without them having degrees? They will end up working in a minimum wage job because they don't have credentials. Anyways, don't focus on others only focus on yourself and what you need and want. In the end, they won't matter only your happiness will keep you in check for the future. 😊

You ladies said “what if the economy fails”. My country Myanmar had a coup last year, completely crippling the economy and many people had to leave to look for jobs overseas. I relocated to Europe with the same company and continue to work on the projects. It’s crazy to look back and see how far I’ve come in just 6 years and God knows what lies ahead!

    My dad used to tell me time and time again *they don't have to like you, but they do have to respect you*. I'd go back and tell myself that. I'm definitely with you, Tamera. I was sheltered as well. I thought everybody was gon do right by me since that's how I was raised, but chile..... Heffas will stab yo' ass in the back with the quickness. I encountered a lot of subliminal jealousy as well.

    I'd give the world to go back and tell my younger self follow your dreams. don't let any man or any amount of money come between you and your dreams. I would tell myself to not try to be like anyone else and to love yourself. to not care what others think. that one day someone will love you imperfections and all. I'm happy where I am today but I've went through hell to get here.

      No, she doesn't.....she's obviously more closer to Tamera and Adrienne, but she and Jeannie ARE friends. And yes, like each other. She chills at Tamar's house and they text each other just like normal FRIENDS do. She does "friend-shade" (inside joke type stuff) with Jeannie, and y'all take it out of context. Stop making it more than what it is.

    Janazia Thompson, This is wisdom coming from a 50 year old woman who has always believed in having a great character. Love God first and seek his guidance and the advice of others with positive attitudes and loving hearts. STAY AWAY from hurting people because they WILL hurt you eventually. Love, nurture and be kind to yourself because there will be days that YOU are all you have for YOU. Let your self talk, self respect and self worth and constantly working on your self development be your number 1 priority. Take time to find out what you really enjoy doing and do it. Choose your circle of friends wisely. Surround yourself with people who inspire you to be a better person. Learn and take heed from woman that are gifted and positive about life. And when the time is appropriate ONLY connect with a man who treats you with the highest respect and that has a healthy perspective on loving (NO ONE that is coming from an dysfunctional home). Go to college if possible. Try not to bring a child into this world until you have finished college and a wonderful man has chosen you as his wife. Love, Laugh often and Live. Wishing you a beautiful life's journey. Shine like I know you will.

    Tamar advice spoke through my soul... Literally. It was soo touching & relatable. Im taking the advice tamar would tell her youger self because i can relate & feel the same way & im only 19 yrs old. At this age you feel lost, hopeless, & your worry alot about the present & future. The advices Adrienne & Tamera gave was VERY healing & relatable as well. I feel like when you're young you just want everything to be perfect & go your own way. It's scary because knowing that you have no control over your life makes you anxious gives you anxiety. The pain & stress & can be overwhelming & it can cause you to doubt your future. That's why you should always keep God first in your life spiritually & physically because he has the power to make everything better & stress free💖🙏

I sincerely hope that these days of anxiety, confusion, naivety, having your heart broken by people you had higher thoughts of, having your heart broken by life, of being dead last, not recognising the direction your life is taking, burning bridges and wishing you were someone else...I hope they all become something. The reason I love this show so much, even though its a panel full of women is bc they discuss real topics & bc they're real topics it can go for either gender such as this topic, we all go through things & often put in situations that we may in counter or had in counter & didnt know how to handle it but once you get passed it you can look back & encourage yourself just how they are reflecting, this can go for guy or girl & thats the best thing about this show

    I got a little emotional seeing Tamera's younger self, it was if my childhood flashed before my eyes. I felt like I was looking back at my old self as well, it's so funny how people you watched on TV as they grew up, you grew with them. We are around the same age & that picture took me back & just allowed me to think how you should enjoy your youth. I really loved what Tamar said regarding...not rushing your life. It is very true & it is something I am still struggling with today. Note to self take each day as it comes & enjoy God's blessings.

    This is something I needed to hear. I'm only 23, but the pressure I put on myself is unreal. There is so much I want in life, but I have no idea yet how to get there. I've accomplished a lot as far as education goes; I've got 2 Masters degrees and finish my law degree next month. I left my home country and am separated from all I know by an ocean. When I look at my friends back home, they've all started careers, met their partners, have created homes for themselves, and I look at myself and think 'why don't I have that too? and 'is this all worth it?'' Constantly filled with anxiety wondering where I'm going to end up. But it is nice to know that I'm not the only one with those worries.

      +Serena Quaye I recently opened my heart to a coworker even though I fought hard against it. And though there was technically nothing bad that came from this experience, I still feel I shouldn't have given so much because deep down I was never completely secure that this person gave a damn about me one way or the other. And ever since I changed jobs and we no longer see each other, I feel that even more. We have each other's contact information but I've heard nothing from them since. Now, I'm back to "instaguard," lol. I've been in this situation so many times in my life I've become used to it. I'm just sticking to family now. This friend business has been wack for years. I'm done trying. I'm just doing me.

    • @MegaLadylove2012
      @MegaLadylove2012 8 лет назад

      +TheRetroWoman80 I can tell you're some with a great soul. There's a saying, "better to have loved, and lost, than never to have loved at all." You had an opportunity to show love which you did. Bravo. Only a few people can do it. No one will take this experience from you. The encounter brought you a chance to learn something new inorder to discover who you are. I'm sure you will. Next time, tell yourself, "no one can hurt or take me for granted without my permission." Thou, no one can. The universe wanted you to learn how to love yourself. That's why you had the experience multiple times. Moreover, the experience came bk because you refused to learn the lesson the first or second time. It's time you learn the lesson to love youself. Say it, out loud, everyday. "I love myself." "I love others." "No one can hurt me or take me for granted without my permission." Make this your daily affirmation. You can add to it as well. Overall, this pain should never stop the love you have for the right person at the right time. My only advice to you, like you said, "take your time to know anyone." Study a person's character to see whether what he/she says, matches one actions. Again, guard ur heart ain't the same, as in, you become bitter. To guard your heart means, you become wiser. Remember action speaks volume. Pay close attn to behaviors than anything else. This is something I put into practice than I did in the past. Forgive this individual to open you to wonderful opportunities to meet "amazings" :).

      Thank for you words of encouragement, Serena. I hear what you are talking about, truly I do. But I'm staying focused on me. I am at my highest state of peace that way anyhow. See, I don't hate people, I just don't trust people. I'm literally DONE with that part of myself that initiates/gives everything and pretends to not care about being reciprocated, because it does mean a heck of a lot to me. I have two beautiful and thoughtful loving cousins who are the sisters I never had and always wanted. That's where my "friend" energies will go. I don't need anyone else. It seems whenever I've sought the so-called prospective "friends" in my life journey I've gained nothing but heaviness of heart in the end. Here goes to starting a new chapter in my life! I'm about staying true to it and loving/respecting myself, continually, as you suggested:-)

    I would give the warmest hug to my younger self and tell her nobody but YOU will ever love YOU quite like this. So stay expectation-LESS of people. I would also explain to her that even if pleasant, well-meaning people do come into your life don't take them too seriously because when it's all said and done...only a few rare ones (or just one) will remain lovingly loyal and interested in your time.
