I agree. Taking up arms to end military dictatorship is taking far too long to achieve its aim. The military may be suffering heavy losses but the Generals have too much to lose to give up at this stage even if their standard army is showing signs of disintegrating. They will cling onto power by any diabolical means possible for as long as they can. The more they lose militarily the more vindictive they will be in taking out their anger on the hapless Myanmar people who are already facing great hardships in their daily survival for life under a brutal regime. The recent mandatory military service law might well become the straw that broke the camel's back since it affects the whole population leading the people throughout the country to take to the streets again ending in more bloodshed. The NUG, which calls itself the legitimate govt., is helpess in easing the pain and suffering of the Myanmar people, thousands of whom have also lost their homes and have become displaced people because of the armed conflict between the revolutionary forces and the military. Except for giving ineffective lip service and going to various countries to lobby its cause and to seek help in the fight to remove the brutal dictatorship, it hasn't achieved anything really substantial. So fa,r apart from providing lip service no country seems interested in helping with its fight. The recent victories gained by the revolutionary forces have nothing to do with NUG. The forces achieved them on their own. Some are already losing faith in the NUG because of its ineffectivenes as a Govt in exiile. After two years the strategy of taking up arms against the regime doesn't seem to be achieving its goal as well as exoected. The Generals are still holding their ground despite great losses and don't seem to have any desire to hand in their gloves as yet. At this point It seems to be a stalemate and if this situation continues for long neither side will be the winner in the end and the country will probably fall into an abyss with no way up. The future of this once bountiful, peaceful and beautiful country looks very dark. What is needed is a divine intervention and a miracle which will bring the country back to normal again. Buddhists, Christians, Muslims alike regardless of religion the Myanmar people should pray for that to happen to bring peace to the land again.

I agree. Taking up arms to end military dictatorship is taking far too long to achieve its aim. The military may be suffering heavy losses but the Generals have too much to lose to give up at this stage even if their standard army is showing signs of disintegrating. They will cling onto power by any diabolical means possible for as long as they can. The more they lose militarily the more vindictive they will be in taking out their anger on the hapless Myanmar people who are already facing great hardships in their daily survival for life under a brutal regime. The recent mandatory military service law might well become the straw that broke the camel's back since it affects the whole population leading the people throughout the country to take to the streets again ending in more bloodshed.
The NUG, which calls itself the legitimate govt., is helpess in easing the pain and suffering of the Myanmar people, thousands of whom have also lost their homes and have become displaced people because of the armed conflict between the revolutionary forces and the military. Except for giving ineffective lip service and going to various countries to lobby its cause and to seek help in the fight to remove the brutal dictatorship, it hasn't achieved anything really substantial. So fa,r apart from providing lip service no country seems interested in helping with its fight. The recent victories gained by the revolutionary forces have nothing to do with NUG. The forces achieved them on their own. Some are already losing faith in the NUG because of its ineffectivenes as a Govt in exiile.
After two years the strategy of taking up arms against the regime doesn't seem to be achieving its goal as well as exoected. The Generals are still holding their ground despite great losses and don't seem to have any desire to hand in their gloves as yet. At this point It seems to be a stalemate and if this situation continues for long neither side will be the winner in the end and the country will probably fall into an abyss with no way up. The future of this once bountiful, peaceful and beautiful country looks very dark. What is needed is a divine intervention and a miracle which will bring the country back to normal again. Buddhists, Christians, Muslims alike regardless of religion the Myanmar people should pray for that to happen to bring peace to the land again.
