My understanding is from the Brooks shoes through Springfield to Worcester and then South into Northern Connecticut is a mini New England tornado Alley with 2011 event besides being a year where every state seem to get a tornado it was long overdue since the 1953 Worcester event which I believe and so did Fugita that F5 damage might have occurred but after some debate they left it at F4 due to the fact they had to rate these 10 to 20 years after they happened because it was still evidence left that they could use besides using the damage or gate to Gate sheer or a DOW. I believe higher elevation in Alabama is what causes them to be more violent when they happen due to the fact that the higher you measure winds in a tornado the stronger they get even less than a hundred feet so if no one else has a theory on how planted a tornado is from the sky and putting aside a debate on where a tornado touches from down up or up down which I think is both why hasn't anybody discussed how far to the ground the supercell or mesocyclone spun down the tornado because again it seems to be both from the ground up and from the sky down but in terms of from the sky higher elevations are going to get higher winds so why is there no discussion on predicting how dangerous a tornado is based on for example the ceiling or how high the base is which still might not matter how hard it plants to the ground but you got to start somewhere

I lived in Vermont for most of my childhood and adult life, it's rare to see a tornado, let alone one that does much damage.

I'm so thrilled to see someone doing this in our area. It seems to me we are experiencing more threatening weather in these parts (New Haven area shoreline ), we just got hit hard. Perhaps your research will increase our safety! Great video!

I was born and raised in the Hudson Valley and even with the major storms we NEVER saw tornadoes. It was a HUGE deal when one came through New Paltz in the mid-last 70’s? No one knew what had happened.

I was at a camp located in Amenia NY near the NY, CT border close to Pawling and Brewster. Litchfield counter was about 5 minutes from us. The time you went to Amenia my camp was at dinner. We had went around 5 and as I walked outside it was super dark and super windy. no one was allowed to have our phones so if we were in a warning, no one knew. I felt a little on edge knowing there was a storm that close. I could see something in the mountains I was sure of it. If you happened to pass Maplebrook school, that's where I was. Anyway, dinner went on as usual, as if absolutely nothing was going on, even though it was super windy and I had felt a bit weary. Turned out the tornado was 5 minutes down the road. No precautions or anything was taken even though I had said something to friends. It haunts me how little the school seemed to notice or even care. Thank you for showing the video. If you passed the school do you know exactly how far away it was?

upon a further evaluation. the Paley farm market was 8 MINUTES and as stated, 5 miles down the road. I cannot believe the lack of awareness the staff where I was had and decided to run dinner as usual, as if there wasn't a tornado 5 miles down the road-

Yep it’s time for Connecticut to do storm chasing because I’m tired of them putting clips instead of making it long so we can see the whole tornado and I got a question do you think tornadoes weekend over mountains and hills and I thought it was difficult for her to rotate through hills and stuff explain

Mountains and geographical features can definitely have an effect on spawning tornadoes. However, if the supercell and its updraft is strong enough, a storm can easily produce a tornado in the mountains. Check out the July 28th, 2018 Douglas, Wyoming tornado, which was went over multiple mountain peaks!

Tornadoes cannot and willnot develop in the vicinity of the great lakes. How do I know because I live in NW Indiana and we never received one.

I'm well aware of June 1st I'm in Worcester but for the record I'm from the shores of New Jersey where I became a weather nerd after my first tornado warning and wall cloud.
What I I'm trying to get myself to post is that I went North from Worcester to chase a tornado warning that was somewhere between Worcester and Fitchburg but it would have been rain wrapped in it was night time so I decided to turn around when I realized how much driving is required and I already passed me from west to east while I was driving north so it would have required getting a ticket to catch up with so I guess I should have went South

I invite you to capture a tornado in one of the most difficult regions of the country to chase storms, then.
The drone footage at 6:50 displays the tornado.
