- Hello and welcome to part one of a two part video.
As always a huge THANK YOU to all my channel members for their ongoing support.
So we start today's video in the car park at Cockfosters Underground Station.
At the time of filming the Piccadilly Line was closed between Wood Green and Cockfosters for 16 days.
So I start my day with a bus ride down to Wood Green to pick up my train and start my driving duty.
Come with me to see what I got up too
Don't forget to subscribe, like, share and comment.
Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy this video
Please continue what you're doing, don't risk showing anything that might terminate the videos. You make this look easy because you're such a good driver.
As someone that works on the railway, but not the underground but is and has always been fascinated by it, your channel is great and I watch each upload as soon as I can.
I will say I do agree that your company will probably prevent further filming of your face whilst driving and that is probably, on balance the right thing for them to do. As you know, safety and perception of safety is absolutely no 1 priotity, no questions asked on the railway, and anything that might lower that threshold, even perceptably by a tiny amount would be questioned by the superiors as a matter of course. I'd actually be surprised if they hadn't brought it up. Hypothetically, if you had an operational incident, they would be in the firing line if it transpired in some way it was related to your content creation (like looking at a camera) and they hadn't at the very least done a risk assessment.
Not being able to show that will not and does nor diminish your content in anyway. It's great. The fact as well that despite a relatively small pool of things to show, your content has imrpvoed as you have become more confident, and you've moved towards long form videos shows the appetite for your content isn't diminishing.
Dale thank you for the insight into your day. Do not get into trouble with your bosses. If people want to see what is like to drive an underground train from the driver's point of view, they can go buy TSW and simulate the experience. The POV's are amazing and your dry humor always makes me smile. My dad when he was alive would call it the Piccalilli line. Always made me laugh as a child.
My local managers are happy for me to film
Also Dale is not saying anything ‘secret’. He as mentioned in past videos there are some areas he won’t cover for operational reasons. I have watched a couple of cabs eye view tube rides on here but what they miss is Dale’s amazing commentary. It is literally like sitting next to him.
@@gordonm2821 Absolutely spot on. It’s Dale’s commentary that brings these videos alive. There are other cab view videos but with Dale’s we’re riding along with him, learning as we go. They’re great 👍
Thanks for another great video Dale. I wondered what happened now that Cockfosters is closed to traffic. A bus replacement for drivers!!! OMG! It was fascinating to see how the changeover happens. I wondered why you were standing at the rear of the train 😂. And the view from the rear cab was brilliant.
@@gordonm2821 indeed there is nothing actually 'secret' that i have seen. and Dale is providing far less information on actually operating a train than is available in Train Sim World and London Underground Simulator that replicate the train controls. As far as I can tell its complaints from busybodies that may not even be associated with TFL and the issue is TFL having to deal with those complaints rather than the actual video content.
I like it when you are driving with one door open above ground. It adds to the 'immersion' to hear the noises from the trains and tracks in the background.
I was so surprised to hear Dale apologizing for the noises. These noises are what many of us, if not all, actually do love!
My apologies from all of us who love your videos re the complaints. I am in Melbourne Australia and have travelled on the Underground on my past trips to UK. Your videos are my goto as soon as you post on RUclips. Piccadilly Line is my favourite and I have a Piccadilly line train model I purchased on my last UK trip. Thank you for sharing and caring. Ignore if you can all the detractors.
Thanks Dale, brilliant as always, your depth of knowledge and professionalism is a credit to the Piccadilly Line and London Underground. They would have to be very silly to stop you filming because you illustrate the high standard of their drivers, and I also think they'd get 26 thousand complaints from your subscribers, who enjoy your videos.
I appreciate that. I hope over all they are happy with my videos. I will of cause keep every one updated should I have to delete any videos
Think the videos are very interesting 😊hope you get it sorted 👍 have a great Bank holiday Monday.
Excellent. View and commentary is perfect. Unusual movements always a bonus, but agree other comments keep the bosses happy over the content so as not to jeopardise them.
Amazing channel. Every video I learn something new. Keep up the great work, cheers.
Great video Dale, I enjoy my Saturday nights on the 'Tube'. Reminds me of being an excited child travelling between Osterley and the city in the mid 60's
I hope everything works out well between yourself/local management and TfL. Don't ever feel pressured to push boundaries of what to film by us viewers, even the simple day-to-day POV videos are enjoyable! Given there are already videos online from various places of things like detailed SPAD procedures and uncut depot shunting (nothing like what you've filmed) I would surely hope simple POV videos with commentary will be acceptable.
I'm grateful for whatever you can show us, as it brings back memories of my early life when I lived in Hounslow during the 1950s-1070s.
Hello Dale. Very happy to see another video of yours. Here in the Netherlands was a train driver with a headcam filming.
The NS (dutch railway) forbid to make new ones but what was uploaded, could remain on RUclips. (Dutch train driver pov) I like this video Dale. Thanks for sharing this video for us and until the next one.
Those who complain about you recording yourself driving are just negative entities and are jealous of your success in having a channel. You're transparent about what you can and cannot record to your viewers and there's no evidence of your driving being affected. Tell them to stick their complaint in a letter and to bin it when they're finished.
Well I have to keep the big bosses happy. I have permission from my local managers. Hopefully it will all get resolved soon
@@dalecharmantravels8057 Yeah, it's just a shame that others feel they have to interrupt your shine; a shine that you bring to LU enthusiasts. - Call it; you giving the viewers a virtual work placement experience.
Dale you’re doing a great job and we all enjoy your videos … not sure who can possibly complain about them, but there are always a few who complain about nothing!! 😅
That was awesome to go backwards into the sidings at the start, really good to see. Thanks for another great video :)
Love the POV video’s! For the seeing you drive videos, yeah, that is 100% publicly available. In Train Sim World 2 and onwards you can drive a 1972 stock Bakerloo line and yeah, it teach you completely how to drive that one. So that is 100% public available information. I hope that you won’t get into trouble with TFL! I love the videos that you make, keep up the good work! Greetings from the Netherlands!
From the USA. I appreciate your content. I never had to ride an underground network in my working life and have only ridden on the Phoenix light rail.
I commuted from south London to Northfields for a period in 1988/89 and used the Piccadilly Line from Green Park. The Aldwych shuttle was a Northfields turn and I used to watch the ecs go through eastbound before boarding my westbound at 07.02 hrs. That got me to Northfields for 07.27. London Buses had offices which formed half of what is now the hotel to the left at the depot throat at 1:01:07 in the video. Interestingly, the front unit of the train you took over for the return to Wood Green, (car 884 leading), is one of the double-ended sets suitable for use on the Aldwych shuttle.
Dale, been a subscriber for a few months now. I really look forward to your videos being released. Please dont put anything out that risks these videos. I dont find them repetitive at all, there are always different things happening. Your commentry and general chit chat is great, nice to have a laugh, and learn stuff! Thank you for these underground videos. I'm looking forward to the shorter days, lower sun and changes of the season. BTW, I'm Stuart and from the Isle of Wight. Enjoy your upcoming trips too.
I hope your colleagues aren’t bullying you Dale because that’s disgusting and I hate people that bully others for whatever stupid reasons they do it. Great video as always.
Let us know if the bullying gets a bit much, tell them that they will have Dale's Army to deal with!
I think Dale was probably being somewhat facetious regarding the bullying remark.
Yes I think he was. I can’t see anyone bullying Dale, well not successfully anyway. 😀
Levity where art thou ?
I’m sure he’s using sarcasm. If you know what “ribbing on each other” means that’s what he and the other drivers do to each other.
It is all rather beautiful at dusk. Great ride as usual!
I like it when you stop before the cameras to also watch the passengers
Dale, who on earth is complaining about a bloke driving a train FFS?. My only complaint would be about any issues regarding bullying in the workplace. Surely that is a far more serious operational matter?! There's loads of RUclips footage of driving and flying stuff, if anything your fantastic videos are inspiring people to become a tube driver 😮
@michaelandersen-kk4fc
Do you really think terrorists need to see his videos to understand how to drive a train? What stupid terrorists they would be. The internet is full of videos from inside the cockpits of planes, trains and trams and I don't think there are any attacks because of these.
The bullying thing was a joke. Although there are some people who don’t like me very much. But that’s their issue
@@dalecharmantravels8057 that’s what I thought Dale, can’t understand why they don’t tho 😅
You would also need keys and know how to set the train up how to use the selector barrel. All of which I have not talked about. Train sim world has the exact power and brake settings you can see me driving. Plus what will they do with a train. The first red signal and the brakes come on. Even if they know how to move it after that they can’t do more than 10 mph. Plus if power was switched off they can’t go very far. Hence why to my knowledge no one has ever taken a train. There are much better ways to cause carnage than stealing a train
@dalecharmantravels8057 It's okay, at work it's nice to make fun of others. Don't worry it's normal, you can't please everyone. Keep up your work and these beautiful videos for us ❤️
nice content! its fun and relaxing at the same time :D
Covent Garden looked busy for once! Sorry to hear you've had complaints about the content Dale. Hope you get it sorted out satisfactorily.
Great video again Dale. I really enjoy watching a view I never saw when travelling the Piccadilly Line to and from work and play, for years 😊.
One other thing - there is absolutely NO reason for you to apologise to me or anyone else for the screeching of wheels, noises in the cab or rattling of the trains over points. They are the sounds of our Underground system, and are part of its magic. I wouldn’t enjoy your videos half as much without them.
Long may they continue 👍🏽.
Ignore the haters & I hope you can keep up with the excellent content!👍🏿
Brilliant, I love the little bus ride at the start 😁
Dale thank you so much for the shout out mate, you are one of human kinds best, don't change and certainly don't lose your sense of humour mate,
Best wishes from me and Alexandra
Thank you I appreciate it
What you are doing is very good to see how the train system are different then other places. What you said by talking to the management team is a very important part and see what you can film without getting into trouble. Keep it safe and don’t do anything that will cost your job.
1:41:45 Did wonder where the Aldwych branch came in. Thanks for pointing it out!
Yet again another fantastic POV video in the day of engineering works, love these videos. Keep up the great work.
It's the patter that makes it so enjoyable - keep it up Dale.
Stumbled across your videos about a month ago whilst looking at driver eye/POV videos and I’m glad yours came up it’s brilliant to watch you explaining everything on each video. Keep up the great work Dale.
Nice one Dale The Metropolitan Line is quicker to King's Cross and did you remember the old Milky-way advert the red car and the blue car had a race when's the full journey from Uxbridge to Cockfosters and Wood Green to Rayners Lane
Great Saturday night treat Dale ...thank you. Quite a few chuckles in this one too. All the best.
Always some sad axe that ruins it for everyone, great vids mate
Thank you. You can’t please every one. Hopefully it will all be sorted out soon so we don’t keep having these issues
Brilliant as always and looking forward to part 2, cheers Dale 🍻
Brilliant dale as always, I used to be a guard on the district line and then the northern line in the 1980s, thought it was safer with two men operating
Nice video Dale, ignore the colleagues... keep em coming
Another great video of the underground. Some of your comments really crack me up... makes it fun, for you as well as us watchers.. Thanks!!
Dale
Another fantastic video. Please if you can keep them up I am an avid viewer. I am a freight driver out of Acton and I'm so jealous of you driving a tube train 👍👍👍
Really enjoyed this video Dale. Was great seeing how engineering works can make it such a different shift at work. Nice to see as far into the depot as you could before you had to switch your camera off.
I agree with many others on here, don't risk filming anything that could be a problem with your bosses. Far better to keep safe in what you film and still be allowed to do the pov videos. Looking forward to part 2!
Hey Dale great video I love watching these videos especially when it’s in parts great video as always keep up the good work and I hope your colleagues don’t bully you too much. I cannot wait for the new Piccadilly line trains to be rolled out Please can you tell us when you get a first sight of one if you cannot then that is okay as always keep up the good work well done❤🎉 by the way just so you know the track work from Arnos Grove up to Cockfosters is to accommodate the new trains. This includes track replacement platform upgrade and some other things I’ve seen that on the TfL website.
😊
I find it amusing that TFL are a little scared about you showing how to drive the train... Train simulators are pretty good at being truthful to real life and in actual fact they were consulted on the procedures when producing the scenarios :D
TfL have not said any thing yet. I am waiting for a sit down with my manager to see where we go from here and what they are happy and not happy with
Hi Dale! I love your videos and love the London underground. I wish living in London but still was in London for two weeks until a week ago! I started watching your video the last few days after coming back to Japan but I'm loving your pov videos. I wish I could work with the london underground one day. Thanks for all the videos u made!
Hi Dale, re racing, my dad’s commuter trains used to race on the down line from Eastleigh to Winchester in the sixties. On one occasion the driver waited for City Of Truro to leave and they raced until dad’s train got a red! It was frowned upon but when Truro was held at Eastleigh the race was on! Regards, Neil.
This will be an interesting one to Wood Green! I’ve never seen a video or a train going into the sidings at all in my life. Thanks for showing us what happens on an engineering works day. I don’t live in London so I can’t really ride the pic line but anyway, great video and can’t wait for part 2.
Absolutely love your commentary in your videos, it really brightens my days. 😊😍
Thank you. It makes me happy that people enjoy me rabbiting on
@@dalecharmantravels8057 absolutely 👍
2:44 giving you the finger lol and then thumbs up lol
It is great to hear your insights into your job and the quirks of the trains and the Piccadilly line. The higher ups at TfL may get itchy feet over some things though, especially when there are issues.
Thank you for this interesting cab ride.
Documentary of a "tube driver" on his last shift shows him driving the train..
Regards..
what do you mean
@@055f00 Hi, U Tube features documentary of a tube driver in the cab using controls on his last day before retirement..
Yay, well done Dale 👏
Thanks Dale. I've only watched the first half and I have to go to work myself now... lots of interesting new stuff, quite apart from the engineering work. The slow line Acton to Northfields I don't think we've done before and it was great to at least see some of Northfields depot. That place always seems huge when I've passed by - usually inbound from a flight into Heathrow. It was also good "racing" the District Line from Hammersmith - I think you passed three in total (although one then got ahead again). We don't usually see so many, I don't think.
Hello Dale great video as always
Subscribed as I like train and travel videos. Bonus points as you're a fellow charman 👌
It’s good to have you here
Love a bit of Underground squeal
Goodness sake Dale, why would anyone complain about you driving the train? Bloody hell, far worse things in life seem to be on the damm Internet, you are a top bloke Dale
Will you ever be doing a video where you go through the Kings Cross sidings from Eastbound and down onto the Northern Line tracks if you don't mind me asking you curiously?
No it’s not some thing as a normal driver we would ever do
Hi Dale, I love these two-part, long features - I wonder, will there be a box set in the shops in time for Christmas? 🤣
Actually, your mention of signals sometimes reminding you of Christmas lights might be a subconscious reason that I went into signalling design, as I loved the colour and vibrancy Christmas lights when I was growing up - well, that and an interest in railways, especially the Underground… and I suppose having an engineering degree helped, too! I was very fortunate to have worked with some truly brilliant people there, who helped me to progress my career through the ranks in LU. I get the impression that you truly enjoy your job, which is always a plus, and I know from experience that the Underground is rather like a family in some ways - I met very many people during my time there, both in Engineering and in Operations, and at all different levels: fortunately, only a handful were ones you might remember for, erm… less than positive reasons...
I fully understand your position relating to filming within the depot buildings. I’d agree that whilst there are no great secrets per se, there is always a matter of it perhaps being privileged information (or something of that sort) that may make things a touch awkward for filming, so it’s definitely best to be cautious.
You mentioned speed restrictions in relation to the sighting of specific signals - unfortunately, I don’t recall (or perhaps never knew about) the reasons for PSRs/TSRs that you mentioned, but they may have come about as a result of a review that was undertaken from the early 2000s - I really can’t be sure, sorry! I think it was me that you mentioned in relation to Arnos Grove, probably following my explanation of the speed check arrangements on the westbound approach, though that isn’t something that I actually worked on (but I have done several others across a number of different Underground lines). I have done a significant amount of work on other Piccadilly line signalling designs, plus those for the Jubilee, Northern, Metropolitan and bits and pieces on other lines as well… so much, in fact, that I really don’t remember it all! Or maybe I’m getting old as well …not that there’s any doubt about that in my case!
Floodgates - as I recall, there were two main types: one is similar in operation to a portcullis (but without the openings, of course!), so it just lowers vertically; the other is sometimes termed a ‘cat-flap’ design, so is hinged from above. My understanding is that they are all secured out of use by appropriate means, and I know that some - perhaps all by now - are no longer detected in signalling circuits as being in the open position, simply as they just cannot move anymore. Perhaps someone else on here has more information on these, as they I don’t think they were really a signalling asset (hence my limited knowledge).
Your mention of the pigeon on the signal hood at Acton Town made me chuckle - but better for it to obscure a green aspect than a red… and that’s the reason for the most restrictive aspect being in the lowest position (red for a running signal or yellow for a repeater) as there is no hood below that. Actually, I believe the main idea was to prevent a build-up of snow in front of a red aspect, but clearly it works with wildlife, too!
I’m very much looking forward to part two with bated breath! Many thanks for a very enjoyable part one!
I appreciate the comment. Signaling is a very technical thing and as I have said in a few videos as a driver all we need to know is red,Green, yellow and the route. It just gets very complicated after that. I do appreciate the information though. Apologise I never got to reply to the message about the Arnos signals. I was going too but then couldn’t find it. Enjoy your weekend and I hope to have part 2 out tomorrow ( fingers crossed)
@@dalecharmantravels8057 Many thanks for the reply - and I fully understand that you cannot reply to every comment. Anyway, if I post a comment on the next video I'll try not to waffle on as much as I did today!
Having to take a bus when expecting to take the tube is for sure disappointing, especially when there is a tube strike.
I was in London during the tube strike in March of 2023. I knew we would have to take the buses, but didn’t expect how crowded they were going to be. Just goes to show how necessary the tube is.
I agree the bus is not ideal. The difference with engineering works over strikes is it’s being advertised for a long while. We also have dedicated replacement bus services running regular rather than trying to travel on a normal public service bus
Dude I love your videos and work on the last true driver driven underground train
Try not to let others negative comments stop you from doing a great thing as most people watching this would love to be a tube driver !
Me included 🎉❤😂😊
Thank you I appreciate it
No I think they are just childish, waving to the camera. Love the videos. Don’t stop
Quality video again Dale!
Very disappointing to hear management have issues with you filming. Of course I understand there are policies, standards, blah, blah, blah, but like many others and yourself have said, you can find what you have shared online already, especially through simulators. Everything if not more than what you’ve shown you can see driving the 1972 stock in a sim! I thought the video facing you was an interesting perspective and can’t see what would be wrong with it? I can look through your cab window and watch you depart the platform…doesn’t mean I would know how to operate the train if you put it in front of me. 😂😂
Please just make sure you don’t do anything that will cost you your job, us lot aren’t THAT important 😅. All the best Dale.
I also watch a driver that works on the Metropolitan line and does the same type of driver eye view driving ..also very good. 😊
Hi Dale
I believe the floodgates were decommissioned around the end of the cold war (some where between mid-80's to late 90's
Thank you. Just a little before my time on the earth let alone the underground 🤣
Hi dale love you videos mate I always been into trains and everything.. I always find you videos interesting and always looked forward to the next one. Thank you also to anyone who can help me I can’t find the member thing I take it’s done on the pc only lol as I can’t see it on my phone. Anyway thank you
brilliant video.....very surreal going backwards....nice one.
Can you say hello to Sean from South Dublin in the next video???? cheers
I will when I next record a video
@@dalecharmantravels8057 much appreciated, keep up the great content.......
The first new train should arrive in September time that’s what’s said and it will start integration testing so you should see it next month Dale and really enjoying the video
I hope to get a video of it as soon as it’s out. I guess though it will be running after normal traffic hours
Dale, thanks as always.
You say you get complaints.. my question is.. from Tube people or random internet people?
I can truly appreciate you wanting to keep all above board and with permission absolutely though seems that if non tfl people are making "complaints" they don't deserve too much worry.
I enjoy your chatty and engaging content. I saw the druving video and enjoyed the different angle, but I would not complain either way.
You spend time and effort to give "us lot" free content. You do what you feel comfortable with I reckon.
I also like the dusk vuews when out of the pipe 😀
Thanks again!
There has been a few complaints with in the company. I am in discussions with my manager at the moment as to how we proceed forward
@@dalecharmantravels8057 best wishes. You're a good bloke with good intentions. Thanks for all your efforts.
I heard the points change for the Piccadily line train to enter the sidings at Acton Town too. You wasn't going crazy.
1:05:05 hello Dale. Really enjoy these videos!
I have spent many enjoyable nights at the old Hammersmith Odeon ( as was) . Sadly thought I would get a District train back towards Embankment, as I would be hoping to get a train out of Waterloo.
I hope you weren’t being serious about the bullying…if it's true, then those responsible need firing as there’s no place for it. My wife and I visit London a couple of times a year and we purposefully stay at a hotel on the extreme of the tube network so we can enjoy the journey into the centre. We both love the your videos which are excellent, informative and fascinating and I’m sure your bosses see the benefits of them…
No it’s all in good fun. I some times forget that it may not come across as fun
dale thanks for the great POVs of your journeys i enyoy whatching them so i agree with you its best to stick with what you can and not film this way it keeps every one happy this way becuse i do not want you to lose permission to film the POV journeys 😀😀
Great videos. Impressive route knowledge too. Would be a shame if they removed as its a great insight into the life of an underground driver. 😊
Dale I understand about filming in the depots and think you should go a long with what the managers want you can film as is authorised to do so just to allow you showing us the different routes and different moves you have to do.
Regarding the floodgates, I understand that the 1950s ones (like those on the Picc) mostly dropped down from the roof of the tunnel.
They were decommissioned shortly after the Thames Barrier was installed and welded in place with the signalling interlock removed.
Thank you for the info
You should give them the royal wave when you arrive 😂
As for how busy the stations are, on the west I got 39 passengers at Leicester Square and 43 people at Piccadilly Circus. Eastbound It looked like 89 people at South Kensington and 79 at Piccadilly Circus, 65 at Leicester Square. Also there looks like one is sleeping in the corridor off the platform in LS at 1:37:32. Looks like 59 passengers at Covent Garden and 50 at Holborn.
I can't believe they are short of drivers, @ 80-90 K per year ! I enjoyed overtaking the other trains in this video.
£80-£90k I wished 🤣🤣🤣
Hopefully the higher ups will recognise you are a great ambassador for LUL.
As someone that used to work in the business I bet the TFL PR guys would recognise the positive reception publicity you generate. That's a lot cheaper than expensive advertising.
I’m sure they are happy with what I have done so far or I am sure I would have heard some thing by now
If you need a new PC try out gamers Republic, if it good for games it good for film editing 😊, keep your videos coming as your the last thing i sleep and if i don't wake up at least i snuffed it happy😅
I think you should still be able to film in POV. This is because you can litterly drive a 1972 Tube Stock on the Bakerloo Line in Train Sim World, this is pretty much the same as in real life, even the reverser blocker is in it. And just keep making these brilliant video's!
In the first clip when you were getting bus to Wood Green, I heard someone I know. He volunteers on the Ruislip Lido Railway. He wouldn't want me to say his last name on here but his first name begins with a C
Wahey shout out Chris and Chris Jnr , my son said he bumped into to you .
Prom season at Albert Hall hence busy South Ken
Hey Dale, Just a question I've wondered why do every line use two buttons to open the doors and not just one like the close button? (Great vids btw mate)
It’s so to open the doors you have to have a positive action. By pressing 2 buttons it reduces the chance of catching a button to open the doors when you don’t want too. You don’t have the same problem with closing the doors
Hi Dale watch many of your vids & are good viewing . I board the train at Manor House many times & when I’m
Waiting on the platform I can hear the sound of a train fast running like a main line train & of so which station ?
FFS, it’s a train. I enjoyed a lot your driving vid, it’s not a state secret. Only stupid people would be upset. Love the vids mate.
Apologies if this has been asked before, but what are those “Not in use” signs for at many platforms? Thanks. Love seeing the Piccadilly Line. I remember when the District Line shared the track to Hounslow West.
They are the new stopping marks for the longer new trains
I used to live in Wood Green 30 odd years ago, now I live in North-Wales, very very different from living in London very different 😢😢😮🤔😳
Hi Dale great video. Can you explain what the A and the B that can be seen near the platform monitors denote pleas.
So an A category platform means if the driver looks out the cab door they can’t see all the train. So should a mirror or monitor be defective we would need assisted dispatch. A category B means we can see the hole of our train so can dispatch our selves
Could you do more in the way of shorter videos of departing and arriving at depots, also reversals in and out of stations and sidings ?
Or would this be dodgy filming territory ?
What is 14 Road 19 Road in depots etc etc?and what’s the difference between sidings and depots
14-19 ect are just the road numbers so we know where we should leave or get our train from. A depot is some where they do maintenance and cleaning and have technicians based there. Sidings are just some where to reverse or stable a train
nice vid dale
Does the bus replacement service give a whole new meaning for the drivers riding on the cushions?😀
53:40 That signal (WL25) looks like its referring to the right hand track (since signals appear on the left from the pov of the driver). But its not here.
Dale - do you have a favourite station you like to arrive into and depart from? Cheers
Covent - Leicester must be the shortest distance between two platforms... If not for the bend, you could see the one from the other...
It is the shortest between 2 stations ( at track level)
