I liked how the 'Alien' universe (perhaps even connected to 'Outland') shows a really used and lived in universe, not the clean sterility of other franchises. Shows like 'The Expanse' have a lot of similarities to Alien.

In the 'Alien' novelization, Ash explained the Company picked up the distress signal from the Space Jockey and how detailed it was in the what the creatures did. Having control over something like that biological weapon would be very lucrative, especially in military applications (though they never really got it right)..

@@CTheProfessor And to me it tried too hard to explain everything in the Alien universe, to the point that all was wrung mystery dry. Plus, so many Nostromo sized plot holes that left one's head scratching.
But some find that awesome, so.. (shrug)

I like the third one enough that I think it holds its own as part of the e trilogy. Although it is the weakest of the three.
Resurrection onwards I can take or leave.

I hated David and I absolutely hated the ending of covenant !!! It made absolutely no friggin sence at all !!!! Stupid movie with even stupid humans !!! Terrible writing and directing !!! Things didn't get better when the new captain s#@# pants decides to go to a planet that was not even supposed to be there. No protocols, no precautions spells for disaster.

Here on earth we have trees whose seeds can “latch” onto animals or insects or even just the wind to spread their genetics. Love me some Xenomorph/human interaction either it’s making new aliens or killing them. Love this series.
