1) Which of the bigs will step up? 2) Can Diarra lead this team at point? 3) Are they good enough defensively? Starters: Hass, Ball, Liam, Alex & Sam Starting lineup may change during season but that’s how it looks now according to Hurley’s recent interviews. He says “he would prefer certain guys to start but they have to earn it so it’s respected by the team” I would assume those guys are (Aiden, Stew & Reed).
Alex Karaban is as good or better offensively as Tristen or Cam were in their previous years, so I don't see how designing the offense around him (insofar as Hurley did that for those 2 this year) makes them less likely to contend.
just losing donovan clingan by itself makes them mortal defensively. castle was their anchor defensively on the perimeter as well, but I think he's more replaceable than clingan. it will be interesting to see how hurley puts the pieces together. I think they'll be much better later in the season than the beginning.
I think this team is going to be Hurley's best shooting team in his tenure at UConn. They don't have to be as good as they were last year to win another championship, so for whatever defensive questions they have, I think they can make up for it on the offensive side to a certain degree. But defense will absolutely be the biggest question going into the season. Torvik has their defense ranked 7th in the nation to start which seems a bit high to me but the computer probably knows more than I do.
@@prettyridesmedia lmao every coach in the country would take Dukes roster over anybody else’s. I give Bama and Kansas an argument but Yukon is hurting from no Castle and Clingan and Spencer.
@@DDMF9 I knew you had no idea of the current roster and it shows. Just hype your team instead of acting like you know basketball. You give any kind of resemblance of a team and Hurley will win. This team has 3 first round picks and additional NBA players on it. UConn wins actual championships not paper ones.
UConn has a better chance than Florida did after their run for two years. There would still be questions if UConn couldn't continue to compete at a high level. What are the odds that they 3-peat, regardless of the roster, considering how often that's been done? As a UConn fan, I have to say it's not likely. I'd be happy with an Elite 8 appearance, I"'m lying!
The development at Uconn is elite, you talk about them losing 2 lottery picks and 2 NBA guys. DC was a projected second round guy before this season. Spencer and Newton were literally unranked coming into college. And while Castle was a McD all American, he got turned into the best overall freshman by the end of the year.
Uconn not losing over 4 games next year. yall said the same shit last two years, and they won 🤣🤣🤣 yall keep picking sec teams 😂 no sec team, winning nothing. Only team, go be able to beat uconn is kansas ..this team is go be better than last year team just watch lol liam is go be a game changer watch ..
Biggest question is how do they keep so many players happy w playing time.

UCONN to win the natty is one of favorite last leg of parlays you can cash out early and make bank in the tournament… strategy I’m using
@@noah.conley very very smart
4 starters gone. They won't defend as well on the perimeter and that's huge. A sweet 16 would be admirable.
lol they lost the same thing the year before and came back and won it all. You don’t know what you’re talking about
3peat loading …. Deepest team in country and best coached !!

Napier and Boatright!
Gwizzy. We have to hold you accountable. Kon and Darren Harris are better shooters then Mcneeley. I fear Cooper made him better. Still a good player.
We need Carter the man the myth the legend back!!!
It's Wham without George Michael right now.
