You didn't cover the base difference. Also, your review seems geared towards HEXClad. The Anolon pan can be used on induction stove tops, yet you never mentioned that.
@@gwgrote5: The fact that the Anolon has an encapsulated steel/aluminum base also means that the body is a single layer of steel -- that's one reason for its "shorter heat retention," which can be spun more positively as "more responsive." - -
I've had a hexclad wok for almost a year now. I use it about once a week. Over time, it has become less non-stick to the point where it's not much different from plain stainless. Using low amounts of oil - which for me is the point of using a non-stick pan - becomes less and less possible over time. Yesterdays fried rice stuck like hell, even with twice to thrice the oil I'd use in a traditional non-stick skillet. The higher raised stainless edges also makes it harder to clean. Lots of places for fluids to drain into and toast on. Food gets stuck to all those edges and then between the edges. Pretty sure that by the end of summer, I'll be shopping for a new wok. I imagine the coating is flaking off the stainless edges all the time.
According to what HexClad told me, their warranty should cover these issues. They claim it's a "performance warranty", so when you have issues that impact performance (like food sticking) you should be able to get a replacement. I provide more details about when they told me in my HexClad review ruclips.net/video/UqSKm-GRqWA/видео.html. Let me know if you're able to get a replacement.
We used to cook with teflon for non stick and it worked great but then we would end up destroying it in time. Being on weight watchers any added oils or fats added calories which we wanted not to cook with. SO the non stick pan was our go to, but then without the fat eggs would stick. All the ads for non stick pans are always done with NEW pans and gee I hope a new pan would perform better. But 6 months later, all our pans fail the egg test. So all these pans fail the dieting issue
There is no need to compare. It’s gonna be same story like this video, hexclad is way more expensive but worth it in a long run with better build and more features.
I’ve had this set for about 2 years now. The issues I have is that the coating on the inside and outside edges scratch and chip off the coating very easily and on my one pot on the bottom I noticed small bubbling and the nonstick coating came off exposing the aluminum.
Same! And the finish going all the way up, the rim has gotten completely worn down in assuming from the dishwasher. Small pan now has coating completely peeling off. Might switch to Hellas for this reason. Lots of small pitting on the large pot as well.

I've had my Hexclad pans for 5 yrs now. I highly recommend getting them. Easy to cook on, easy to clean up.
I enjoy your videos. They are concise and well-researched!
Thank you! That’s what I’m going for

@@PrudentReviews I saw that review too. I like the way you review products. I haven't decided what's best to do yet.
Use the lifetime warranty to get a new wok 😊
Have you tried reconditioning the pan? Give it a thorough scrubbing in hot, sudsy water, dry it, then season it as you do when the pan was brand new.

Hexclad is more like 6 TIMES as much as Anolon X for the pans you were reviewing.
The coating on the raised edges inside the pan wear very quickly.
The analonx pan look like they went to Home Depot, bought some chicken wire and infused it in the pan…it’s hex-clad for me.
😂
Can you share any thoughts on Hexclad vs Viking??

I sold anolon x for about 6 months before we sent them to our clearance store. They were not popular.
Good review.
Glad you think so!
The Ninja never stick premium pans are better than both and cost 1/3rd of the hexclad.

Cast Iron for the win. Way cheaper and lasts for generations.
These pots are made for induction cooking.
Merci beaucoup 👍👍👍💕💕💕
Je vous en prie
HexClad was a total fail for me. HexClad is MUCH more expensive, more than 40%.
You get what you pay for....I choose quality...
I don't want either one of these pans + the whole ridges and valleys nonsense. I can be trusted not to use steel spatula's on a non stick surface.
Both are rubbish latest fad nonsense in my opinion. Buy some quality cast iron and never look back
