So I think when those fungus spreads, it's still connected..there's no gaps between it. So Tess explains that if something disturbs a patch of that connected fungus..even if it's a mile away..it wakes up those infected who are connected to that main fungus. I found that very interesting and I guess that's why these infected zombies knows where anybody is.
i didn't get the bit when all the zombies were connected i haven't played the game in so long but i don't remember that part?

It would still be a lot of fun playing it. I play all horror games on Hard because I like to unlock special weapons when you complete the game.
They mentioned that they were going to be removing spores and replacing it with their own “mechanics” for the virus
