- Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley has rejected accusations of two-tier policing as “complete nonsense”, and said those making the claims were putting officers at risk.
The Government has also dismissed suggestions that far-right riots over the last week have been dealt with more stringently than other recent unrest and protests.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who has been dubbed “two-tier Keir” by US social media boss Elon Musk, has called the accusations a “non-issue”.

Just because we see two situations being similar, it doesn't mean that they are. Some cases of assault really do take a long time to come to Court. This is nothing new. With the M Airport thing, the Police are probably trying to get a watertight case. Any mis step and they'll blow it.
@@quantisedspace7047you may well be right, but the police should explain the situation as much as is possible without prejudicing the investigation so people know that the police are doing something instead of the perception, clearly evident in this case, that the police are doing nothing out of fear or favour to members of a particular community.

Boy meeting my Polish girlfriend 4 years ago and moving to Warsaw has turned out to be quiet a decision. It’s blissful here - no messing about policy regarding migrants, maintains a catholic culture, the people are on the whole much skinnier and healthy. Lucky lucky me 🎉
It's the same two tier policing with travellers. They come and break into our village green, have bonfires, ride motorbikes across it and fly tip. Last time they stole lots from the shop. The girl called the police but the traveller father of the thieves came to the shop to threaten the girl who called the police. The police did nothing, the council did nothing. If I did any one of those things I'd be in the courts. They also parked in the council pay and display for a few days, obviously with no tickets.
Too many Sirs involved with this problem and less people like this women.
I listened to Isabel's interview with the lady from Harehills. It was heartbreaking. She is in shock and traumatised. If I was a Reform MP I would do everything I could for her. It's disgraceful how she was treated. She was wrongfully arrested and assaulted. Dreadful.

I totally agree the people who say they have no issue with immigration need to see these highly deprived areas and see what they think then , see how they would feel if there houses backed on to these places . I watched the whole of that with that poor lady last night it was absolutely shocking the way she was treated, it brought tears to my eyes. How can the police arrest someone that did nothing and keep her in a police cell for thirteen hours, while the others were setting alight a police car and bus, in Leeds, with the police running away and letting them carrying on breaking the law, and they say there is no Twotier policing, what utter rubbish. I am nearly 80yrs and was born and raised in harehills .and was connected with it until my parents deaths around 2000 a.d. it was a place which well into the 1980s was good, orderly friendly trouble free with an abundance of retail outlets .the housing stock was diverse and sound ,the streets well maintained and families mostly intact ..then a noticeable non organic change began to occur with a steady but sudden influx of non europeans ..the rest is history
