The moment Halbrand stepped into Celebrimbor’s workshop, I knew…
RIGHT, everything about him was different
@@CatherineLaSalle That, plus the fact that in (ahem) The Lore, Sauron tries to trick Celebrimbor into forging the rings by working with him in the forge. The show just switched out Annatar for Halbrand.
strange. wasn't it clear from the moment he showed interest in forging and the way he went about it very early in the show ?
@@nadinefeiler9204 I think it was for sure. But I was giving the show the benefit of the doubt that they might not be so on the nose from the start.
*I assure you there is no Man on your island who knows this craft better than I.*
🔥👁️🔥
Mairon, Annatar, Artano, Aulendil, Gorthaur, Zigûr, The Necromancer, and Sauron
Ei Cat, nice reaction, . . .
That boat scene with Galadriel & Halbrand tho' 🔥🔥🔥
Nice reaction. I love it when shows can really move us to where we can get upset or moved to tears. Some people just don’t get moved by fiction as many of these people will say it’s not real. However I believe art whether its film or otherwise can stir our souls where it can elicit memories or experiences from our own life which is where the emotion ultimately comes from. It’s not the show only per se, but what it reflects back to us that stirs our human feelings on our lives & experience. I think it was awesome you showed your crying when Galadriel had to sacrifice Finrod’s dagger & she had to watch it melt. It was moving because although she kept his memory alive in her heart & his spirit moving in her actions by hunting Sauron, the dagger was the last tangible connection to her beloved brother. If you notice the smelting vessel the dagger was melted in resembled a coffin - I don’t know if it was intentional or not - but it symbolized the dagger’s “funeral” & the melting of the last physical connection Galadriel had to her brother. It was emotional & Bear McCreary’s musical score for the show is powerful & moving. If you listen to the score during Finrod & Galadriel’s scenes, it about as emotional & moving as a soundtrack can get. It shows you have deep emotion & a big heart Cat. I never understood how some people cannot be moved by things such as movies or shows beyond just real life experiences.
This show received excessive criticism but it’s been nice to see most reactors have enjoyed it. It’s been a fun ride & much of the criticism is unfounded & undue. The show has been visually striking, entertaining, & the acting has been great by the entire cast. It’s been a joy & privilege to be back in Middle Earth. Can’t wait for Season 2!!!
I ADORE this series and I NEED THOSE PEZ DISPENSERS
Ahaha aw glad to hear you loved it! And honestly you’re like the first one to notice the Pez! 🙌🏼
@@CatherineLaSalle Well as a Lord of the Rings fan you learn to pay attention to every little detail!!😂
Hi cat hope you enjoy the show🌺 good to see you ✨Have a Nice rest of your day 🍪🥛
I thought it was good enough for what it was. The episodic format is difficult to tell a story originally written as a novel. Maybe it's why they went with a fan fiction with their show. Trouble is, we all know when it's seen its run of seasons the ending won't be a happy one. Whether this was going to be canon or not, there was always going to be tragedy and loss. So get ready
Cara Catherine LaSalle,Tu Sei il Mio Grande Amore! Amo Solo Te! Cara Catherine LaSalle,Vuoi Sposarmi?... Si?
I thought they'd tease Sauron for next season, glad to see they didn't! The more he kept pushing Celebrimbor with suggestions though, the clearer it was becoming who he was. Cool reveal!
Oh yes, his behavior this episode was verrrryyyy different and way more suspicious, right away I knew it was coming; but I’m glad they did a redirection to The Stranger and still had us questioning a bit “WHO THE HECK IS SAURON THEN?!”
Oh and I love that end credit song the lyrics are directly from the beginning of The Fellowship of The Ring book
I always love Fiona Apple
Bear McCreary killed it with the music.
Ngl when Gandy said his follow your nose line at the end tears just came rushing out. So much nostalgia from watching Fellowship so many years ago🙏🏼 excited for S2
That’s a blue wizard not Gandalf
Is is just me, or was that scene on the raft was very Anakin and Padme on Mustafar?
"And together you and I can rule the galaxy , make things the way we want them to be!"
Introducing the Balrog just means he's down there, real deep, awaiting in the darkness. There's no real forward plot progression in that department considering The King sealed up the wall. It's very much a 'when King Durin is dead, long live King Durin, THEN we'll dig and they'll disturb the Balrog' situation. At the present there's nothing in that story to address.
Also, no tears for Gandalf and Sauron confirmations, but ugly crying for her brother's dagger being melted? I dunno why you're crying either! haha. But it's a good reaction.
The “brothers” face was so creepy eyehole he said “touch the darkness once more” it was the just suggestive moment in the whole Sauron Galadriel season of interaction
I wish we’d had more of that type of thing all along
Then temptation of Galadriel to actually consider his offer would have been believable and her considering it would have made this more interesting
your reaction 8:03 GIRRLLL RUNN! when halbrand did that sexy leaning i was lost.
thank you for doing these delightful reaction videos, everything else i find on rings of power is run by bitter men who can't appreciate this
Thanks for actually watching the episode and reacting and not blabbing the entire time. Thanks for actually reacting which is so unlike so many 'youtube reactors' who are basically narrators. Its hard to find reactors like you. Thumbs up. Again, thank you for not talking over the dialog and actually reacting.
Aw thanks for the feedback, Rusty! Not gonna lie, a lot of the time I watch my videos back while I’m editing them and worry that I’m not saying enough or that it’ll be boring to watch because I don’t comment as much as other reactors, so I appreciate that!
the show made us like sauron, so badass
Really enjoyed your reaction. Great finale. Episodes 6 and 8 were excellent TV.
Really enjoyed watching this series and especially because they didn't hold back on locations and special effects, I know it had to end on a cliffhanger but that reveal was something else. Season 2 please, like now too 😁
Yessss the visuals and the cinematography were absolutely stunning
Yeah, it was all in all a good experience watching it; I looked forward to watching every episode. Haters gonna hate.
Great reaction, i love the season finale
Thanks for watching! Glad to hear you loved it!

This finale was epic! What a reveal wow! 🔥
@BrightForest Ye the episode that Halbrand wasn't in it was obvious lmao. He was introduced in episode 2 you muppet. And doubt you knew it was him in episode 2.
@@unincognito3689 "Looks can be deceiving."
This a genuine question.
Have you read the books and are coming from no previous knowledge and did you have any suspicions?
Also, if you do know about the construction of the Rings (beyond what we learn in the film's) what did you think about how Amazon decided they were made?
Genuine question.
@@OkabexKurisu eh?
@@matwatson7947 I've seen reactors who have read a lot of Tolkien work and they liked it. They are able to enjoy something without having to nitpick everything like some people do which ruins the experience.

Can I share your video as a reaction video on my channel? ☺
Sure thing!
Sauron's real name is Mairon and his name is Annatar Lord of Gifts when he's in disguise during this age but Amazon can't use that name so that's why they invented Halbrand but they did have a callback to it when he said call it a gift and he's very good with illusions that's what he was doing to Galadriel and he and Gandalf are of the same race btw the next season is coming out in two years
wrong lol
@provisionalhypothesis tell that to all the lore videos I watched from the channels Nerd Of The Rings and The Broken Sword
God I wish there was more episodes in this season.
Riiiiiight 8 just feels too short, for any show honestly. Would’ve loved more episodes in this, but at least they were all pretty much an hour+!
I will give you a summary of what will happen according to the books: As Sauron's cover has already been revealed, the 7 rings of the dwarves and 9 of the elves will surely create them by himself and with some nice appearance they will deceive dwarves and men. . He will secretly create the only son, on the mountain of destiny to control the other rings. After that, the elves will notice and remove the rings so that Sauron does not control them. Sauron will want to retrieve the rings from the elves and there will be a big war confirmed in the second season, in which the kingdoms of the elves will be almost destroyed. At the last moment Númenor will come to the rescue and defeat Sauron first by sea and then by land, commanded by King Alfarazón. Sauron will then return to Mordor, where he will devise a plan to defeat Numenor. Sauron without resisting will allow himself to be captured at the black gates of Mordor by Númenor. Later they will take him to the usla of Númenor where he will remain a prisoner, but it will not take long for him to manipulate King Alfarazón and name him his right hand. Sauron will convince him to attack Valinor, the land of the "Gods" with the largest fleet of ships ever seen. For this, Sauron will tell Alfarazón that if he wants the immortality of the "angels" to be worth it, he has to conquer these tender ones and force them to give it to him. The valar don't want to fight the humans and ask for help to make God "Iluvatar" then Iluvatar combines a great wave, whirlwinds and lightning and destroys the fleet of Numenor and buries the island of Numenor under the sea "Atlantis" along with Sauron whose body is destroyed. But since Sauron is a "lower angel" Maiar, his soul cannot die and after a while he acquires another body, but as punishment for attacking the Valar, he can no longer take a beautiful form. Sauron somehow retrieves the One Ring and declares all-out war on Middle-earth. The 9 kings who accepted the 9 rings of men were transformed into specters, one of them being a powerful human sorcerer who would be the head of the "specter rings" who would have a fortress in Angabad. On the other hand, the dwarves would not fall for the temptation of the 7 dwarf rings, but would curse them and lead them to ruin "Moria-balrog", "Lonely Mountain"-"Smaug". Men, elves and dwarves will unite against Sauron and little by little they will lose, desperately they will form a "last alliance" where Sauron will be defeated and Isildur will take the ring from Sauron's corpse. And the rest you already know.
Team Sauron All day!
I really enjoyed this show Amazing, from Story to Acting, Stunts⚔️,Music, Bravo!, Seeing Spartacus Actor's a show I love!, I'm not a complete lore master but Well done! And awesome Reveals! Right! Sauron!🌋 Alludes to Gandolf ⚡ 👏 Looking forward to whenever we get Season 2, Priceless reaction Cat and happy tears I had a few👍And great Review my friend Stay awesome 🎆🤘
Glad to hear you liked it, Charlie!! Yesssss the stunts were definitely nicely done in this series! My favorite was the fighting scene between Arondir and that MASSIVE orc! Scariest thing I’ve seen 😂
@7:12 no reaction to the Galadriel’s first clue. 😝
The Balrog is the same Balrog from Lord of the Rings.
“You know what is in those mines, the Dwarves delve too deeply”. ~ Saruman
Clearly Moria has become a ruin in LoTR… so one assumes that the Balrog gets loose and destroys the place, and all the Dwarves die.
Durin's Bane....
Durins bane
all the dwarves that fought the balrog stood no chance and died, the rest fled the mountain
MELKOR servant sauron
For the women I'm surprised they aren't totally crushing on Sauron since he's a man with all the power. Evil power but power nonetheless.
Well
I’m crushing on Charlie
I'm a man and even I am crushing for him
10:08 badass good guy *DING DING DING*
Sauron is real badass.💪💪💪💪💪

Happy you're here for it too 🔮
and Russia, too, until the last no one knew who Sauron was)) A very epic series. And in general, our audience liked the series, which has recently been a rarity in relation to foreign films and TV series. Great reaction, thank you
Yeah called it(I think most people did) Halbrand is Sauron
The ring forging scenes were great
I do wonder who are the three androgynous witchy/sorcerer people are, most likely they are dead now but are there more
It's the Real Slim Lady aka Feminem
Was very obvious that Halbrand would eventually end up being Sauron
I think those cultists were Sauron's first attempt at making nazgul judging from their forms they had when Gandalf banished them
@@lordfoul6259 that's a good idea. My thought was are they some kind of lesser Maia same race as Gandalf and Sauron but of lower power that also joined with Morgoth
@@thestanleys3657 thx your theory is good too I suppose there could be other maiar on the show that followed Morgoth and didn't become balrogs

I am definitely surprised there are people who genuinely like this fanfiction. How do you overcome the logical fallacies? (Genuine question).
Genuinely I just don’t see the fallacies; sure I do question some things & some writing decisions, but my few critiques haven’t ruined the series for me overall
What “logical fallacies”? It’s a work of fiction, not a philosophical argument. Huh?
@@CatherineLaSalle I appreciate your sincerity. Some "reviewers" seem very disingenuous so it's nice to have an honest perspective contrary to the majority.

- great finale discussion
Did you jump episode 6? I don't see the video of your reaction :(
the plot twist this season was crying at the ringmaking
when Bear McCreery gets to you
LOLOL for real, that was the biggest surprise in this finale 😂 I was not emotionally prepared for that
i like your reaction and how much you enjoyed the show.
I was mostly watching your reaction because i could not connect with the show. Not the Plot nor the Characters and i wondered if i had missed something essential.
After watching your reaction i see what people enjoyed in the show but that it is just not for me. i need other things in a tv show or a movie. I don't do well with big plot holes and contradictions in a story. I need a story with a strong inner logic. That is why i probably connected better with House of the Dragon.
Firstly, thank you for being a prime example of how we can still be civil and respectful of each other’s opinions even if we disagree about the quality of the show!! I wish more people in the LOTR fandom had that energy, it certainly would’ve made the duration of this first season much more pleasant. I’ll admit the show is not perfect, and I respect the critiques people have. Hoping that Season 2 might be more enjoyable for those who didn’t particularly like season 1 🤞🏼
hey beautiful
Bit of tension between Elrond and his future mother-in-law there at the end.
As far as waiting for season 2, I'll defer to Gandalf: "every day was as long as a life age of the earth".
Dont we all have tensions with the mom inlaw?
@@_TheProfessor I didn't have any tensions with my in-laws.
❤️❤️❤️
best episode of the season, nottt a fan of Galadriels character so far, it's almost uncanny valley territory i hate her development.. or lack there of she didn't learn anything ahaha - also hold up.. how did the knife make you cry and not Elanor leaving her fam?!?! xD haha
I disagree Galadriel had some good character development within these last two or three episodes like after Mount Doom erupted and she was taking care of Theo she started to sound like the Galadriel we know and she was less confrontational she was actually holding Theo back from killing those orcs which in the previous episode she would've tried to kill them herself and in this episode she melted down her dagger to make the elven rings symbolizing her time as a warrior is over
Galadriel was not supposed to have a major arc, and you weren’t supposed to identify with her. The whole point of the season is that her way of doing things and brooking no dissent made her easy for Sauron to manipulate. And she had to stay fooled right up til the end, even though we all saw it. And so did Elrond and Gil-Galad, who both told her that if she carried on like this, she’d end up enabling the very darkness she sought to defeat. And that’s exactly what happened.
Galadriel didn’t go through a big change in this season, because her role in the story was to be a change agent. She bends the world and other people to her will, causing their arcs to happen.
And then it all blows up in her face. Only now can her own change arc begin.
Truly I have no idea how the knife made me break down 😂 I think it was the music behind it honestly, whenever that soprano kicks in and starts singing in LOTR music I lose it
I like how the music tells me what I'm supposed to feel at any given scene. When it gets louder I act exited. At sustained strings setions I act sad. I watched with friends who otherwise would notice I have no idea what is going on.
