Thank you so much! Bummer we were socked in and didn’t get the views, but I still think the video came out alright!

My folks went out west by camper every summer. I went til I was 13. My Dad's FAVORITE place on earth, right there. I remember stopping at the Tea House vividly, still have item's Mom purchased there. Amazing you guys took me back to this hallowed ground! Thanks 🙏👍

Such an awesome hike! We’ll have to go back for a redemption summit when we’re not socked in!

For those who don't want to do the hike to get the bird's eye view of lake Louise, just visit Peyto Lake off the Ice Fields parkway. It's just as breathtaking with a similar style vista, and the hike is only 15 minutes.

That’s funny that we were at Lake Louise with the kids the night before. That Friday we hiked to Sherbrooke Lake and got soaked too. Blech. Skip Lake Louise, Kevin, and do the Yoho Lake/Iceline Trail at Takakkaw Falls.

In case you ever go back, the two best hikes with views of Lake Louise are Devil's Thumb and Mount Fairview. Or if you're okay with class 3 and 4 terrain (scrambling), then the Mount Niblock to Mount Whyte and then down to the Plain of Six Glaciers trail is the ultimate non technical outing in the area.

It's something I wouldn't post on a public forum, but feel free to contact us directly if you'd like to find out where locals sleep overnight in their vehicles (for free). So if you're setup to sleep in your van, there's no need to book anything in advance when visiting the area.

Are the colors really like this in February?

We actually did this in July/ August both times, so this wasn't posted in real time. I imagine it's much more snowy this time of year

Speaking of bears, you’re required to carry bear spray in this area, right?
Looks like you’ve got a can at the ready.

Typically yes you do! Every trailhead will have signs with the current rules (they change based on feeding seasons to my knowledge). Sometimes you need to have a minimum group size or a can per person
