Signing a guy on a 3 year permanent deal (for instance) doesn't guarantee he'll be any more committed than a loanee with a decent attitude. It just guarantees he'll be a drain on the wage bill for those 3 years! Don't you think/hope we've learned from the likes of Dan Mackay, Dylan Tait etc etc? Give me a loanee with a good attitude over a no mark, waster on a permanent contract every single time.

If you cant find a player you want to sign, a loan buys you time.
