Man this whole card is so amazingly good also question because ufc 300 is so big are you going to do a deeper dive into two parts one for the perlims and the other the main card
That Dustin v Saint got me. 😢 Will it be the final nail of the coffin for Poirier ? The memories that man left on the Octagon are unmatched. If he retires after if he lose this fight , I hope nothing but best for him. Diamond 💎❤
Not sure about the criticism of MVP's chin; BKFC is a different beast. Look at past champions like Alvarez and Rockhold not being able to last for five rounds with the African beast Mike Perry. MVP stood in there for 6 rounds, and was knocked down only once if my memory serves. There is also a really good argument that he should have won the fight against Mike.
I'm a Strickland fan, love to watch him fight and call out his opponents during the fight, always moving forward, doesn't sit down between rounds, isn't a corporate by-out. Wins fights, loses bad descions. I don't know but feel he represents the blue collar tweekers. Always rooting for him to Win a fight.. time flys so fast!.. he just might be a "here today, gone tomarrow fighter".
12:10 Chito outlanded him by +80%. Sean didn’t land more significant strikes to a single target area (tied 4 each to body). Broken down by position, Chito outstruck him from distance too (sig strikes 10 vs 9) with better efficiency. There’s nothing lucky about drop foot. Sean had a Lisfranc injury in his near past at that point. That comes with a lot of foot instability. His teammate Alex Perez earned a stoppage via calf kick literally 70 days earlier. You’re out to lunch if you don’t think coach Oyama had them both drilling that. Which isn’t good for Sean given it didn’t take much Chito had the spot dialed in. I promise you that threat is going no where. Fantastic card! Thanks for the hype I’ll give it another watch right before let’s gooo
Poirier vs BDS is a bigger and better fight than main event in my opinion. We know O'Malley vs Vera won't determine the best 135er when Merab is in that division. Vera injured O'Malley with a leg kick to win the 1st fight, chances of doing the same is very low.
@@j.a.g.8689 he never got knocked out. What fight are you even talking about? He rolled his ankle, went down, and one small shot the ref called it. He didn't get knocked out dumb dumb. He beat Petr Yan and Aljo after that. Lol does someone drive you around places, you know, so you don't get lost?
one thing about everyperson that has lost to gaethje is that they lost their next fight, he arguably changes fighters after they fight. while dustin has never lost 2 in a row...
Lot of young blood on this card; Macey Barber, Kyler Philips, Song Yadong, Jack Della Madelana, Benoit Saint Denis, even Sean O'Malley is still only 29
That's what I'm saying! O malley is skilled and all but chito is fr a tough dude where Sean gets hurt very easily.... this is gonna be a good fight for sure 💪🏽
Last time a champion picked to defend his title against a guy that previously beat him, he got knocked out. I’m talking about Adesanya vs Pereira. Sean may be slick and explosive, but a guy who’s already got Seans weakness locked down, who’s durable as hell, and 5 rounds to land the KO blow…I’m sure we’ll see a new champ Saturday night.
Love this but you didn't mention why the Suga loss to Vera is so debated. I think it's worth mentioning why Suga denies the loss to Vera instead of painting him as just a sour fighter. just finished and you mentioned "messes up his nerve again" so I guess you did end up mentioning it. Gj man
I think the reason 299 feels better than 300 is because the matchups are more rare and more consequential. 299 has a rare high-profile UFC debut on the main card, and matchups that could really shake up 135 all the way through 170. UFC 300 has higher-level fights purely by the rankings, but aside from Oliveira-Tsarukyan and maybe Kattar-Sterling, the results are not going to drastically change how each division looks. I'm extremely hyped for both.
All said n done omalley not really been tested umar nurmagomedov back in the game am sure he's got sean on his radar definitely in 2025 regardless if omalley win be champ hes got chito vera nxt.. interesting times at BW ...
I do not care what anyone says about UFC 300.. I am going to enjoy the Fuck outta how GOOD this card is!! It has so much depth to the talent thru out it. If u are a REAL fan of MMA you WILL love this event! We should get more depth to our events & I hope this is a start to a more common range of skilled fights across the cards going forward from here.
I totally understand and agree. I think Cory should be fighting here but Chito got so lucky everyone was injured and needed surgery so it lead to the UFC scheduling chito. At least O'malley has listened to the people and said he will fight in his division before he tries to fight Topuria later down the road. I'm glad he listened to the people. +Topuria is already acting like he's not going to fight anyone at his division and go up to fight Islam without a single title fight in his division. (don't misunderstand me, I think Topuria is one of next level talents and I want to see O'malley vs Topuria but it is a refreshing thing that people are realizing it's better if you don't just instantly jump divisions right after getting the belt.. Down the road I do want to see some of these high level match ups. )
@@benmcreynolds8581who do you think would make a good fight for topuria at featherweight? Because I agree he can't just move up and try to fight Islam, but I can't think of a FW that would make a good fight for him.
Idc if Holland loses every fight hes a entertaining fighter and i'd still watch him if he has to gatekeep a division on the prelims. Same goes with MVP tbh. Idt their stock is in their rank but rather in their fighting styles. I guess the same could be said for Sean and Yan but when it comes to Vera and YaDong it just depends on if theyre going to play it a bit too safe or not. Regardless it should be a great card. Sure looks like it on paper anyways. Poirier vs BSD will be interesting as well.
O’malley getting his ability to stand on his own as a man taken from him and then getting knocked the fuck out by Chito did break him. Him claiming it doesn’t count is like Volk saying he’s still the champ cuz Illia got lucky with one punch. I hope Chito hurts Sean again. Shame too cuz otherwise I appreciate Sean’s antics, he can snipe and clean clocks with the best of them.
MVP lost a boxing match to Perry, not an MMA match, a match where he could have used his kicks. Dana always gets other promotion's biggest stars, once they're past their prime, ie; Fedor, Ben Askren, Chandler, then talks about how they can't compete in the UFC. But they probably could have in their prime!
Theory goes the UFC stacked this card so heavily to make it look like O'Malley is a huge draw. Idk if its true but seems plausible especially when you look at this card compared to UFC 300
Fighting business I love the channel but the O'Malley hate bias is off the charts kid is a stud and his fights are always entertaining love him or hate he is a star weather he's just a star or a superstar is yet to be seen
298, 99, and 300 might be the greatest 3 card run ever
You'd certainly have to dig pretty deep to try to find a contender
People are ungrateful
Ufc 139,140,141 are special to me
Agreed. 199-202 was good too
298 and 299 are really good.
300 is pretty mid, like you.
You know the card is insane when he doesn’t even mention Almeida Vs Blaydes

Yo I think this is your best work for a preview. You described what's at stake for every single fighter and the ways to win.
Agreed. The script / analysis here was elite.
he said it could be yans 4th straight loss what an idiot 😂

Ikr. From what I know is that he only got knocked out once via Diego Lima. And Mike Perry is a beast in bkfc. I thought mvp's chin is solid so far.
MVP beat the breaks off of Perry
@@waternotwater5562 yeah I thought he won too. Too much invested in Perry their only star to let a close fight not go for him.

Buzzing for MVP, hope he puts on a masterclass, when he's in his flowstate it's really something to behold.
