I own nanorox.com I may look into providing magnetic branch coral shelves (I use a different process than shown here). Great video
GSP absolutely will grow over sand. I have a massive area in my tank that is over sand.
Yes, I can definitely see it does that, but at least at that point it's an easy snip snip for it to get trimmed back :D
Good video. It looks a bit distorted on my screen. Anyone else have same issue?
Thanks! I use the gopro hero 7, so it does have a touch of it from the super wide lens they use, but I use the linear mode to keep it to a minimum. I'm working on adding another camera to the mix. :)
Aren’t they to heavy to work as shelves? They won’t fall off over time or slide down?
It all comes down to your magnets you use. As long as you size them appropriately, you should be ok!
Where did you get those magnets?? And are they safe to be used in saltwater and won’t hurt in the long run??
I got those from Amazon...they should be just fine as long as you get coated magnets. You wouldn't want to use just regular magnets in the system anywhere (and even outside you could get them rusting if not coated)
The epoxy lasts about 8 months in a marine tank
Then the magnets start rusting
You have a link where to get the magnets?
If you search up on amazon you'll find a ton of different options out there that are coated, just keep in mind the size of the magnet, and the pull force if you're looking to use them on thick material.
