    TGIN goes on faster because it has silicones. i expected that result. It goes on really nicely but i think the silicones block the moisturizing properties. For me, I don't judge a DC by how easily it goes on, it's about how good it leaves my hair feeling. one i've been really liking is the alikay naturals honey and sage. I would like to try the briogeo now that i see your results. Thanks for the video!

      For me, all of my lightweight deep conditioners apply easier into my hair, even the ones without silicones. I agree with you on the silicone blocking the moisture properties, it's why I can never move TGIN into my #1 deep conditioning spot haha. I am glad the video helped and I hope you have great results with the deep conditioner!

    I just tried this stuff and I absolutely ADORE this deep conditioner - defines and nourishes!!! definitely my new ride or die product. No need to buy/use it for every wash day but definitely buying this a few times a year and using it up!

  • @Juanagohome
    @Juanagohome 7 лет назад +11

    The fact that it helped the crown area which seems to be such a problem for many of us is enough to make me want to try it. I think I would buy the full size product but maybe alternate using it twice a month so it will last longer. Just a thought .

    $36 is not bad for 8oz if you think about it. Just imagine paying $9.00 per oz like you did for the 1oz sample. That 8oz would end up costing you $72!

  • @xowdavis

    Your curls are the most poppin-ness of all poppin-ness makes me wanna buy you an umbrella and call you Mary, my favorite imaginary nanny! 😆 Briogeo ooh that looks divine..and a God's tears price tag to go right along with it! 😜 but I have a guilty insane pleasure of wanting to try high end products. And you did mention that they're still black owned so that's always good. I looked them up too (and first link that showed up in my results was their QVC market so you know they getting PAID!!! That is beautifu! And they've only been around since 2014!?? It took Carol's Daughter a minute and I was proud of her too. Get those flex pay purchases on LOCK!! I am going to have to convince myself to try these (probably for my bday or Christmas ) sometime soon! Their something Exfoliating scalp scrub sounds good too! Great video again. Until next time... ☺

    I think you should try the Curls brand Coconut Curlada Conditioner. It claims, on the back of the packaging, to be the most hydrating conditioner on the market, and I would have to agree so far. However, I've only used it as a moisturizer on dry hair. It also smooths and silkens the hair.

    Lol omg I called it in the beginning! “I said girl you have too much hair for that tiny container to coat your whole head!” haha! I may have a little past bra strap length hair, But that wouldn’t coat my head either I have Alot of hair, and I would agree $36 not worth breaking the bank for it. I still use aphogee 2 step protein treatment and keratin reconstructive, and the proclaim DC! It’s where I started my whole hair transitioning journey using these products back in 2014! All from Sally’s! You should do a review ! Xx

    Great review & tutorial! I’m buying this soon to try it, and it should really help moisturize my crown area which drugstore deep conditioners end up leaving that really dry area of mine frizzy with no moisture which I don’t like. I’m going to buy the 8 oz for $36 really soon from Sephora which will be my first time going there.

      So brassicyl isoleucinate esylate and brassica alcohol are the main conditioning ingredients in Briogeo Don't Despair. Trade name is "Emulsense." It is derived from rapeseed oil and used as a green alternative to silicones. Its properties provide smoothing and moisturizing. It is in some Aubrey Organics conditioners ($8-11), Tropical Isle Living Strong Roots conditioner ($14), Madame CJ Walker conditioner ($24) and some Hugo Naturals + Burts Bees conditioners. It was in Naturally Silk Elements deep nourishing conditioner, but that has been discontinued. If only one of the current natural lines would create a deep conditioner with this ingredient and comparable results :-)

    • @kraziikiim
      @kraziikiim 7 лет назад +2

      Leigh Littlebury I'm pretty sure it's just regular plastic caps but hers look bigger because of the stretch to cover all her hair

    • @PowerInYourCurl
      @PowerInYourCurl  7 лет назад

      +Leigh Littlebury I get mine from Sally Beauty or Walmart, just depending on which store I’m in when I remember I need them lol. Like Kim was saying, I think my caps tend to get bigger over time because I stretch them out.

  • @marneyjurist-rosner5260

    $36 is worth it for the deep conditioner! It cuts blow dry time 75% !

  • @minimalassembly7893
    @minimalassembly7893 7 лет назад +5

    Your hair was noticeably shinier with Briogeo. I would say it's worth it as a luxury deep conditioner that a salon would probably charge you $25 for as an add on service. Maybe once every other month? However, what is with the price for only 8oz? I use a high end conditioner sometimes (Biolage) but I get 16oz for $25 and there are always buy two get one free and holiday sales. The way you went through 1oz, the products were clearly not made for kinky hair (short or long), ha ha!
