Hey guys!
Today I am reviewing a high end deep conditioner by Briogeo. Many consider this to be a high quality conditioner, so I guess we will just have to put that to the test! Are there any other high end deep conditioners or quality deep conditioners that you want me to try??
Love you guys!

FTC: This video is not sponsored, and I purchased every product mentioned with my own coint. Amazon links are affiliate links and I receive a small chunk of change at no cost to you. I ALWAYS share my 100% honest opinion about any products/services that I feature on my channel. ❤️
The fact that it helped the crown area which seems to be such a problem for many of us is enough to make me want to try it. I think I would buy the full size product but maybe alternate using it twice a month so it will last longer. Just a thought .
I just tried this stuff and I absolutely ADORE this deep conditioner - defines and nourishes!!! definitely my new ride or die product. No need to buy/use it for every wash day but definitely buying this a few times a year and using it up!
Just finished my homework! Now rewarding myself with some PowerinYourCurl videos! Greatest Reward EVER!!!
THANK YOU! You are seriously so sweet ❤️ I hope school is going well!
TGIN goes on faster because it has silicones. i expected that result. It goes on really nicely but i think the silicones block the moisturizing properties. For me, I don't judge a DC by how easily it goes on, it's about how good it leaves my hair feeling. one i've been really liking is the alikay naturals honey and sage. I would like to try the briogeo now that i see your results. Thanks for the video!
For me, all of my lightweight deep conditioners apply easier into my hair, even the ones without silicones. I agree with you on the silicone blocking the moisture properties, it's why I can never move TGIN into my #1 deep conditioning spot haha. I am glad the video helped and I hope you have great results with the deep conditioner!
I got the full size in my influenster box & haven't tried it yet because I didn't know it was for "our" kind of hair but I definitely will now lol
I hope you like it!
the founder is black! nancy twine
$36 is not bad for 8oz if you think about it. Just imagine paying $9.00 per oz like you did for the 1oz sample. That 8oz would end up costing you $72!
I agree, there is a visual difference. The TGIN section is frizzier.
+Maria Barnes That’s a really good observation. I can see it too now that you pointed it out.
I am not lying when I say that your hair gets longer in every video! It seriously does!
+Paige Ford Lol!! I think sometimes it’s more stretched out than others but thank you Paige!
You have really beautiful long hair... Iloved the mask on my relaxed hair and actually wrote a post about it on my blog. The jar I had was much bigger and it last me about two months washing every two weeks .Tfs hun ~Angie
Thanks for sharing as well! The conditioner works well no doubt, but the price threw me for a loop at first lol. If I catch it on sale, its a wrap!
Did it make a difference ? I hav relaxed hair too which over time has damaged due to chemicals, is it worth it??
Your curls are the most poppin-ness of all poppin-ness makes me wanna buy you an umbrella and call you Mary, my favorite imaginary nanny! 😆 Briogeo ooh that looks divine..and a God's tears price tag to go right along with it! 😜 but I have a guilty insane pleasure of wanting to try high end products. And you did mention that they're still black owned so that's always good. I looked them up too (and first link that showed up in my results was their QVC market so you know they getting PAID!!! That is beautifu! And they've only been around since 2014!?? It took Carol's Daughter a minute and I was proud of her too. Get those flex pay purchases on LOCK!! I am going to have to convince myself to try these (probably for my bday or Christmas ) sometime soon! Their something Exfoliating scalp scrub sounds good too! Great video again. Until next time... ☺
What if you bought the deep conditioner and just used it on your problem area? That would help it last for a long time! Your hair is stunningly gorgeous.
I want to support this brand because they are cruelty free, natural and looks like they use good ingredients. A thoughtful brand that seemingly works. I would just hope to get a good number of treatments out of it...
I love products without strong fragrances. I’ve tried this product and will repurchase it. Your hair is beautiful. My hair requires lots of water and it needs lots of product and it’s short but fine strands and low porosity.
I think you should try the Curls brand Coconut Curlada Conditioner. It claims, on the back of the packaging, to be the most hydrating conditioner on the market, and I would have to agree so far. However, I've only used it as a moisturizer on dry hair. It also smooths and silkens the hair.
Girl I love this conditioner. It’s the best
It did perform pretty good, I see why you love it 💕
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous, I was taken aback omfg.
Lol omg I called it in the beginning! “I said girl you have too much hair for that tiny container to coat your whole head!” haha! I may have a little past bra strap length hair, But that wouldn’t coat my head either I have Alot of hair, and I would agree $36 not worth breaking the bank for it. I still use aphogee 2 step protein treatment and keratin reconstructive, and the proclaim DC! It’s where I started my whole hair transitioning journey using these products back in 2014! All from Sally’s! You should do a review ! Xx
I don't think it's worth the price either but the results were pretty good! Your curls are so bouncy ❤️
+Sophia Mila Wishes I agree! Thank you Sophia 😊💕
You’re skin is amazing and your hair is beautiful. You are so gorgeous
I love that deep conditioner, it's just too expensive. We're fortunate to have amazing products at more affordable prices. Great review as always
Someone just told me to buy that dc. I didn't know it was 36$ much less sample is 9$. That little ass sample would last me 1/3rd of 1 my 4 hair section.
PunkGirlRock lmao same for me
Your hair came out looking so shiny and defined😍 but I don’t think the $36 is worth it either. Waaaay too pricey for only 8oz. Awesome review😄
+therainfaery24 Thank you!! In my head I was trying to rationalize spending the money but I don’t think my pockets are that deep 😂
PowerInYourCurl girl I understand you!maybe it’ll be on sale for Black Friday😂
Ooo, that's a good point! You just made it easier to rationalize lol.
You don’t need as much as drugstore brands. Lady’s twice as long as mielle for instance
Thanks for the info boo!!! I need all the coins I can get with the holidays coming up soon🦃🎄🎅Your hair still looks AMAZING!! Great tutorial!!😊✌
Can you tell me what and where you purchase your plastic caps please mine are so small for my hair and yours are large? Thank you
Leigh Littlebury I'm pretty sure it's just regular plastic caps but hers look bigger because of the stretch to cover all her hair
+Leigh Littlebury I get mine from Sally Beauty or Walmart, just depending on which store I’m in when I remember I need them lol. Like Kim was saying, I think my caps tend to get bigger over time because I stretch them out.
Leigh, I do notice a difference in size when I purchase from neighborhood beauty supply as opposed to Sally's. The Sally's caps are bigger.
Get the sample one for your problem area. It does say after 3 applications you should see a difference. I
Are you texlaxed? I’m considering doing it.
how does one apply it? before shower or after?
I think it depends on the length of your hair. My hair is shorter so that dc will last longer for me. It is also much thicker. I really like the Breigeo dc.
I agree. If you need to use less because your hair is shorter, it definitely evens out the price
I've the tgin honey hair mask deep conditioner it's my fav!!!!
I always keep one in stock!
Love your honest opinion 💜 I'll stick with my less expensive deep conditioners 😌
Sample size for $9? For 1 oz! Lord Jesus! I'm out! lol.
😂
Thanks so much for the review. You're right that's too pricey for a deep conditioner
You are welcome! Now if I catch it on sale, that's a whole nother story 👀 haha
PowerInYourCurl LOL I agree with you on that! I love a good sale😀
Have you tried Soultanicals fro despair? Must try.
+Jaybaeb30 I haven’t but I want to! I have heard a lot of good things about Soultannicals and their ingredients are really good.
PowerInYourCurl hope to see a review for them soon. I love their products. I don’t even have to use gel when I shingle with there moisturizers
It is very expensive but there is a visible difference in the definition between the product and the TGIN side. You said it felt softer and it definitely looked shinier and more defined....BUT... $40 though
Your hair is so gorgeous.
Thank you
hey , You should try and pick up some Biotine shampoo . And watch the results and shampoo your hair,.for at least 2-3 min . Just shampoo the hair only with a silicone base deep conditioner . I brought crece pelo .
I don't care how good that DC works on my hair lol. Even if it's amazing, I'm not gonna keep buying it for that price considering there are soo many other products that cost half the price. I could make my own for that price. It better have some exotic oils that I never heard of lol 😂
😂 I feel you. There were some natural oils in there I had to sound out haha.
So brassicyl isoleucinate esylate and brassica alcohol are the main conditioning ingredients in Briogeo Don't Despair. Trade name is "Emulsense." It is derived from rapeseed oil and used as a green alternative to silicones. Its properties provide smoothing and moisturizing. It is in some Aubrey Organics conditioners ($8-11), Tropical Isle Living Strong Roots conditioner ($14), Madame CJ Walker conditioner ($24) and some Hugo Naturals + Burts Bees conditioners. It was in Naturally Silk Elements deep nourishing conditioner, but that has been discontinued. If only one of the current natural lines would create a deep conditioner with this ingredient and comparable results :-)
I LOVEEEE your hair 😭
Your hair is gorgeous!!!
Hey ..!!girlll you are so beautiful.. your skin is so beautiful.. n your hair too
Oh No I Just Can't Deal With That Cause My Hair Is So Thick I May Need Five Of Those But Not 😱😱😱😱😱 But I Love Your Beautiful Hair 😍😍😍
+Tarsha Newson Haha! thank you so much Tarsha. Your hair is GORGEOUS 😍
$36 is worth it for the deep conditioner! It cuts blow dry time 75% !
How does it cut it down ?
I love your hair and its length so much. 😍😖 my hair has so many different lengths it's not even funny. Like if I braid my hair there will be little curls sticking out because they're shorter the whole way down. And I so t really wanna cut it all off to make it more even but dang. Its struggle when I trim I feel like I miss some pieces. Amazing video though😊
YOU ARE SO PRETTY
how do you keep your hair moisturized. because my son's hair soaks up everything within 30 minutes
+sarah kelley I Deep Condition every 7-10 days with heat. Deep conditioning increases the moisture levels in my hair and also makes it easier for my hair to accept the moisture from my styling products.
PowerInYourCurl okay so once I deep condition is hair and moisturize it it will keep the moisture in it
Great review & tutorial! I’m buying this soon to try it, and it should really help moisturize my crown area which drugstore deep conditioners end up leaving that really dry area of mine frizzy with no moisture which I don’t like. I’m going to buy the 8 oz for $36 really soon from Sephora which will be my first time going there.
Your hair was noticeably shinier with Briogeo. I would say it's worth it as a luxury deep conditioner that a salon would probably charge you $25 for as an add on service. Maybe once every other month? However, what is with the price for only 8oz? I use a high end conditioner sometimes (Biolage) but I get 16oz for $25 and there are always buy two get one free and holiday sales. The way you went through 1oz, the products were clearly not made for kinky hair (short or long), ha ha!
+Minimal Assembly if it the container was 16 oz I could see myself buying it!
Which is really interesting considering it's black owned
I can't find Mielle Organics here in the UAE, is there any website that delivers it Internationally?
I just checked the MielleOrganics.com website and I believe they ship internationally
thanqqqq
Thanks for you review.
I had samples of this product and loved it.. But it's to pricey for me
Wait... you hardly use a comb but your hair is super detangled... i have so much trouble detangling my hair😩
+Roseline Maile My finger detangling game is A1!! I have a video on my channel showing how I do it 😊
I seen this to day love your hair
+Raven Smith Thank you Raven 💕
Your hair is beautiful😍
Wow! I can’t wait for my hair to get this long again😍 thanks for the awesome review 💚
Didn't you do a video on black owned deep conditioners?
Yes I did! It was within a Black Owned Business Haul of all black owned hair products. If you type ‘black owned’ into the search bar of my channel in a desktop computer you will be able to find it.
You should try some Shea Moisture deep conditioners!
+Paige Ford I do want to get back into Shea Moisture deep conditioners! I have one to try from the Omega 369 line. What are your favorite Shea Moisture DCs?
I really like the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Mask! I have also tried the Mixed Chicks deep conditioner. It wasn’t as great but it might have different results on your hair! We have pretty similar hair types though!
I am going to try some different deep treatments soon!
Totally of topic but could you do a LIVE Q&A video? They are really cool because we can ask a question and you will get it instantly and you can answer it!
Thanks for the suggestions 😊 And I would love to do a live q&a one day, would you prefer just a random q&a or a video focused on one particular topic?
Um.... I like random or particular! Maybe you could do a Series of live Q&As that each focus in a different topic! I prefer curly hair topics, racial injustice, gender inequality and that sort of thing but it always up to you!
Can you share what nail polish you're wearing in this video? lol Thanks for the review!
I got a sample for Sephora.. she gave me a few if it’s good I am willing to spend the money.
$9! That is CRAZY!!!!😱😱😱😱
AN OUNCE!!!!!! I may not have as long as hair as you but my hair needs more than one stinkin ounce!!
+Paige Ford Haha! I honestly think it would have spread over my entire head if I didn’t have to be so heavy handed with it.
Hey kenya, girl spend 9$ for your crown only. Use something else for the other parts. 😂 keep them coming. My hair twin.
Wow I didn’t know this line was black owned!
I love your hair, so Beautiful. Wonderful results but I think that is pricey for a deep conditioner lol. I don't blame you, I wouldn't pay that price either.
Thank you! And with the Sephora VIB Sale coming up, I think I may get a full size for a discount while I can!
Pretty hair
Thank you
I was just about to ask how you got that to do your whole head lool
😂
Sounds great but $40.........
Yeahhh, that's a tad pricey lol
At least they have a bigger size , I was scared when I saw the product at first
😄
PowerInYourCurl I do see a difference with the tgin part as its more frizzy than the briogeo
I haven't made it through the entire video yet. I had to pause and say this product doesn't look like it's working for you. I'll watch til the end now.
+myisha swearengin Yeeaahh I didnt know how this one was going to play out either 🤷🏽♀️
I like it but the price is not worth it!
Yeah it is definitely steep, especially if your hair falls in love with it and then you have to keep repurchasing lol.
It will be added to my list of productz dat r way too high to buy lolz. I still aint tried Miss Jessie'z line. Most likely never will.
Sample size for $9? Lord Jesus!
😂😂😂😂😂 I knew that won't be enough with all ur hair. Turned into a comparison video
+Trinity_ NubianQueen 😂😂 Girl I was trying to save my coins smh. And it did! I think that made it more helpful though.
I hear ya....$40 is a lot for a conditioner.
Yes girl.
PowerInYourCurl lol! Remember the scene from Baby Boy? When Jody was selling clothes at the hair salon, the guy was like
"forty-dollars"...??? Haha!!!
Conditioner to me is totally overrated. I tried it twice. Does what cheaper conditioners do. Great video! I like all your vids.
+klassy s I almost wish it didn’t work for me too so I wouldn’t be inclined to splurge on it lol. Thank you and I am glad you enjoyed!
Girl I’ll save points at ulta for it bc I’m not spending $36. I’ve heard only good things about it tho
I cannot spend a fortune on trying out hair products. I like Nexxus so I stick with it. That's expensive enough. I use their shampoo, Caviar Complex conditioner, and protein conditioner less often. So far, so good.
I love hearing about underrated brands and products that work well for natural hair. I have heard of a few other people using Nexxus and you're right, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
