Believe me or not, I had the rare opportunity to listen to Mr. Zuckerman practice his, (as he put it, “Fiddle”) every morning at 6am when I worked for him in Montauk, Long Island. I’d get up at 5:30am and sit by the pool house waiting for him to come outside and practice. It was Amazing. This was almost 20 years ago. I felt like I was listening to an Angel play. One of the reasons he is so good at what he does is because he works at it daily. I knew it was a privilege and I would soak it up. He would make his “Fiddle” create the most Beautiful Sounds I’ve ever heard. He is an awesomely talented man. I’m glad to see he is well and still sharing his Talent with the World.

Omg could you tell us little more? Was he doing scale routines? Or jamming around some Brahms songs?

@@jeanparke9373 well, I had the pleasure of hearing him practicing scales as well as pieces of music. I’m not well versed in classical music, but, I can tell you that what I did hear Pincius play was magical. Sometimes I’d get up early and sit behind the pool house and listen to him play for hours at a time. He’s so good because he really practiced his craft. I even had the pleasure of holding his 2 million dollar Stradivarius in my hands. I was asked to take it to a shop on 7th Avenue in NYC to be placed in a safe and the night before, I took the violin out of the case, I picked up the Bow and just before I put bow to string, I realized that if I broke a string or anything stupid, I couldn’t afford to pay for it, so, I thought better of it and put the instrument back in its case, 😂🤣😂🤣. Yeah, those were some fun times. Be well.

@@warmyferrari9910 You're right. The poor guy only managed to record with Deutsche Grammophon and Philipps (which was also a big label in his times). You might argue concerning style. You also might argue concerning the upbow on important beats (which makes the violin sound much lighter). But writing in you're way about a musician belonging for decades to the top league of violin players doesn't seem to be really serious. His bow technique is really outstanding, at least if you like the Galamian principles (which work to my taste very well!) and so is his sound production. Do you have any idea how much work and life long discipline that requires? I hope, that you will show a little bit more respect towards people and that you try to write proper sentences.

This very moving performance, and the unique sound takes me back to lessons with my dear teacher, Victor Hickman, who loved these shorter romantic pieces (and excelled in light music and jazz, among other things). He also had a sound which was deeply expressive and entirely personal. He passed away recently and is greatly missed.
