What kind of Losi was that? I havent been into R/C in a few years and missed a lot of new stuff. I have a Losi LST that needs a new engine and slipper for the 2 speed..But I live on $700 a month! (paralyzed) ...I would love to get the LST running again! Seeing stuff like this lights a fire in me!
That gas dbxl was burning up its clutch. throw in a high response clutch and a 29cc head kit and it will out pull the electric. The dbxl-e also has the newer nicer tires. stock dbxl tires SUCK

They are crazy those cars are not cheap
ITs all about having fun and no they are not cheap to buy or build but there usually not that bad to repair.
The Losi weighs a ton. Not literally...but that's why it walks away with everything. Definitely an awesome machine, tho.

no electrics have a lot more torque
R.C. Trail Runners yea but a good tuned gas engine with a good high rpm clutch will give that dbxl-e a run for it's money.
true true, just my experience with these rcs and aome of the more expensive ones too. Electric always outperforms them except in the run time

we run a lot of 1:1 off road toys as well and I agree in real life these would be some killer outcomes with out a down ramp.

we like to have fun and sometimes they get broken. They are not that expensive to work and we usually have spare.
