As a Hass user I have to buy Nikon this and Nikon that for dedicated flash - Profoto is the bomb however I am thrilled with this new arrangement + OCF is the bomb. Love it.

Anders again with those well conducted numbers! Thank you so much for testing - this helps a ton in figuring out what modifier works best for me! Btw I saw that David has joined Chris in his latest Profoto Livestream; did you guys also find it fascinating that the Magnum Reflector has a really smooth transition from light to shadow when paired with the A-Series? At least this was my takeaway from Chris Fain's demo :O

Thank you so much Stefan! It's really cool that you now can use the OCF reflectors with the A-series :-)

I am a huge PF fan. Have been for years. My chin hit the floor when I saw this price. I immediately emailed the guys at PF expressing my absolute disgust at this price. They are taking us for complete fools. I urge everyone to email them and also refuse to buy it at this price. Enough is enough Profoto

As we are freelance photographers, we don't know the reasoning behind or can impact Profoto's pricing. I guess it's up to each photographer to decide if they want to buy it or not. Just because Profoto launched a Pro-10 generator doesn't mean that it's the right work tool for everyone. All we can say is that we used the OCF adapter on a real shoot and it worked very well for us to shape light when we have limitations on the amount of gear we can bring.

@@lightbybicho2736 I totally agree and I would like one myself.
Please don’t get me wrong, I am an absolute PF fan boy and have pretty much all their modifiers and so many lights from them. Ranging from D4800, B1’s, B2’s, Acute B, B10, A1x, etc etc. I defend them all the time with their pricing on the main kit as the quality is without question ‘first rate’.
You say we can’t impact the pricing and whilst on the grand scheme of things this is reality and I agree with you. On this occasion they are taking us for complete fools. This bracket is approx a third of the price of the A1 itself and that’s just not right on any level.
Every you tube video I have viewed has multiple comments from photographers bulking at the price. You don’t see this as much when people are viewing the main hardware as people understand and respect the reasons. However you can not respect the reasoning behind £300 for a metal bracket.
I guarantee that a fair few of the Profoto employees will probably feel exactly the same but will not be able to say so.
It’s a great idea and seems well designed and manufactured. Yes I accept there would normally be a premium for a new design in order to cover all the tooling costs, design & production etc but this is daylight robbery.
I wonder if maybe they are looking to give them as part of a deal in the future and have given them an inflated price to increase their perceived value?

Wait till you try Broncolor......They only accept payment in gold bullion now. Despite this I am still a convert.

It’s noted that on Profoto’s RUclips page comments have been turned off on their promo videos for this product....could it be in response to comments on pricing?

I've noticed that all their recent videos have had comments turned off for a long time. Many companies have it like that since there are so many anonymous profiles posting obscene comments. It's too bad that the trolls ruin it since it's important for companies to hear for their users. One can still comment on Facebook etc where one is not anonymous.
