Had a 1HZJ73 for almost 9 years. All it needed was timing belt and other regular service. The wheel choice is on point and period correct. Steering wheel is a little boy racer. The front and rear leaf springs is a little harsh for daily use. I’d upgrade the leaf to parabolic or something softer and change the shocks to Bilstein, Fox, etc. I also regeared that diffs to have a little more eagerness as these engines are really slow even if they’re bulletproof. It would struggle on long inclines and high altitudes. If I had one again I’d put tall and thin tires for less drag on the engine. I miss that truck!
You absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one. Great pilot installment of this series-cannot wait to see where you take this one. Great work so far. I'm interested in the revamping of the garage/workspace. *Elated to see my question made the cut. 🚙
Your vid popped up in my 'Recommended for You' section. I'm glad a checked you out. Cool rig! And, cool vid. I own a 2013 Magma Toyota FJ Cruiser and I love it. I like the Land Cruiser and the older FJs. You have me as a subscriber. 🚙✌🏽
Congrats Everything D If you didn’t know, you’re a true inspiration to guys like me who look like you & have a lot of similar interests, but never felt represented until your impact. The quality of this episode is Impeccable. The variety of camera shots & POV is amazing. Can’t wait to see what else is in store with your remodel of the space. I have no doubt that you have a great eye for interior design as well. 🤴🏾✌🏾🏁
Dude, I'm from Venezuela and that LC model was produced until 2009. What blows my mind is here we never had an automatic version. Only the gas one with the 1FZ engine and 6 speed manual. Beautiful car bro, congrats!
Just started the same adventure in Perth with a JDM 1998 HZJ73HV. I'm stoked you were able to find the factory diff locks even if you don't plan on hardcore offroading. Being in Australia I ought to have many more options since since Land Cruisers and the LC70s are a huge part of the market here. I hope to learn from your choices, defeats and victories.
Great video! They are expensive but worth it because of how long they last my old 60 series in Australia has driven more than 600000km and still driving!
Love this series! You got me into experimenting with some different clothes outside of my comfort zone and I just got a 4x4 myself so I’m excited to follow along.
This thing is mint bro crazy clean 😍 I've always seen your fashion content on tik tok but I didn't know you were into cars like that, keep up the good work!
I’m from Long Island New York i drive a 2022 Tacoma… my dream car is a FJ60 for sure this page was made for me lol 😂 my dad is retired Navy (lived in Japan for 12 years) HA ! SUPER DOPE page my guy!
Boxy SUVs are def the move. I wanted a an FJ80 but I opted for a more modern 5th gen 4Runner. But yea bro it’s just something about putting on a FIT and then stepping down off a lifted 4x4 when you pull up to a function lol
Nice 70 series. I had a Left Hand Drive LJ73 and PZJ70. I currently own a Left Hand Drive 73 with a 1HZ 6 Cylinder engine. I recently added a turbo to it and am satisfied with the upgrade.
New sub , from Belgium , beautiful car man ! I own a 2014 hilux as daily , and have a hzj74 2001 4.2 flat diesel 5 speed manual and a lj70 1988 2.4 turbo diesel 5 speed manual , lc70 is 30cm shorter than the lc73/74 .both LHD you find them in europe for crazy money restored
Damn i really enjoyed all your clothing videos but you’re also into the same vehicles as me? Godspeed to you and your channel my brother keep it up. I’m in the process of buying one as my daily right now. I currently drive an L320 5.0 V8. The boxy look is just different. Bring back good looking cars.
Gorgeous land cruiser, 3 doors always looks so much more special than the 5 doors. Does it has any mod right now? I think the front end looks a little bit different but cant tell what has been done.
Ideas.. home tour and discuss what and why you have items or furniture in your home, edc videos for vehicle, items you can’t live without (essentials), day in the life, lifestyle videos.
Nice rig bro. I just got a 4R ORP. Bummer we wont see it on some trails though. Ive been getting mine ready do some moderate off-roading. Maybe I'll see you on the road (or off) sometime bud. 🤙🏼
*EPISODE 2 OUT NOW* 🏁 ruclips.net/video/_s9u_d_ljIU/видео.html

As a subscriber and an owner of a JDM 1990 HZJ73 ZX I’m really looking forward to this series.
Oh that’s fire! What color is yours?
@@DevanOnDeck stock grey but I’m loving the black on your beast!
So dope! Great choice Land Cruiser brother, my favorite gen and year! I am a JDM head to new sub
Thanks for the sub!

It's crazy to see Devan talk about cars. I'm here for it, I love JDM classics!!
“Thing of beauty” is the best description of your beast
I don’t even like cars but I’m down for the series
production on this bi looks insane🔥
Appreciate that!
Looking forward to this
Finally someone who appreciates boxy shapes!
As a proud new owner of a JDM '82 BJ44 - I'll be following this series for inspiration
Didn’t expect any JDM vehicles on here. Great find!
I just purchased 1992 Land Cruiser 70 series HZJ77 I love so far but finding part is crazy tho I still love it
At the dealership I work at we had a right hand drive defender. The old boxy 4x4 really are the best era of 4x4 SUV's

Steam cleaning an old interior is good for stains and stink. Wont damage. Cleans thorough. Dig your ride, man
Much more rare than a G wagon. World's more dependable than a Range Rover. Pure class. New subscriber.

Gorgeous vehicle, keep up the great work 🔥
Thanks, will do!

Right hand drive was little trucker for me and my s13 when I had it, Manuel with the left hand definitely took me some time.
Great truck & vid…those were are my exact questions that u answered. Best of luck on the truck and channel.

that thing is sexy AF. congrats on the new truck
Video idea. Create a kit that you leave in the vehicle. Simple tools, jumper cables, emergency items. Do some unboxing.
Love your freedom man.
Appreciate the comment! Definitely need to get one of those

Gorgeous land cruiser, 3 doors always looks so much more special than the 5 doors. Does it has any mod right now? I think the front end looks a little bit different but cant tell what has been done.
The original owner swapped the chrome grill for a black one. I’m gonna switch it back
Great car mate. I have a 79 series V8 dual cab in Aus. Much respect for you. To buy an FJ. Must turn some heads in the U.S
