1. So some ideas for improvement i think when firing a trebuchet they put the payload directly underneath the pivot point of the trebuchet which i could see really helping out.
2. (this is also kind of needed for the first point) disable collision on all the supporting beams i think this will allow it to rotate just a bit farther and i think could drastically increase its range
3. this isn't any fancy schmancy big brain stuff but when in doubt add more weight.

adding generators to anything makes it better. To make this better you could put ion engines with thrusters on the end to push. I say ion because they don't create heat and won't burn the person as they fly by.

Put the thing you're trying to throw between the arm and the base to allow the rope to swing around and achieve greater velocity

Thank you I was dying for him to out the object there it will cause less dramatic pulling at the start of the trow and help with the speed and direction the rope will travel basically making the throw more controllable

shorter rope, launch projectiles from inside the trebuchet and release about 10-15 degrees before the projectiles reaches the top(Not the arm).
