No one showed the side by the door. The shoulder strap. Does it go under the bottom of handle bar? Bc I can’t get to stay there. Just pops up. Seems tighter id I don’t
Hi! Shoulder belt should go over the handle bar. Pipa rx manual has a clear visual of this in the manual on page 56 (nunababy.com/media/catalog/product/N/u/Nuna_PIPArx_IM_000002D_664e.pdf) hope this helps!
@@travismalott389 Thank You for answer Travis. Yes, I agree about the airbag. But if I disengage the airbag, is it then possible to put the Nuna in front passenger´s seat with above method?
If there is an accident, the baby will go face first into the seat of the car….do NOT use the seatbelt that way. Absolutely not. Look up crash tests with the seatbelt like this. It’s scary.
Thank you for your comment. While I understand your concern, it’s important to note that installing infant car seats with just a seatbelt is indeed safe when done correctly. The key is to carefully follow the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure proper installation. Many car seats are designed to be installed both with and without a base, providing flexibility without compromising safety.
There’s are nuns instructions on how to install without base. Of course people would rather use the base but in case of an emergency this is how to install the car seat and to avoid any accidents or harm. I actually saw a video on TikTok of a couple who forgot their base and got into a car accident using the seatbelt method. The entire back of their car was gone and the car seat didn’t have anything. Baby was fine and so was car seat which is why investing in a nuna car seat is worth it. They’ve done so many crash tests. It’s also important to note that this video is specific to this car seat. Other brands have different instructions to follow :)
Don't do this type of installation unless it is an emergency. Without the base I could almost guarantee that if the person in the video were to lift up the carrier around where the shoulder belt was placed the whole car seat would become dislodged. Bring the base with you if you are traveling.
@@kylen6430 yeah it will feel really secure side to side at the belt path, but up and down you’ll be able to flip the carrier out of position. The lock off on the back isn’t preventing that in the event of a major car accident.
@@HeyClutch I own it. The neither us or the in-laws were going to spend the extra $160 to have a base in every car. I can assure you, it doesn’t move. Besides, these products go through a rigorous testing and certification process, both with and without the base. I’ll trust them over Matt from RUclips comments.
@@kylen6430 and I trust multiple certified techs that have done my installs that have said carrier only install is for emergency and shouldn’t be used for every day use. I trust them over Kyle N from RUclips comments. And it’s not called a “hook.” It’s called a lock off. There is a reason why NHSTA recalls seats that don’t come with a base. Take the extra time to switch over the base to the car you or the in laws are using since you’re such a pro at installs.
Sooooo helpful!

👍👍👍👍👍
She skipped over the entire installation of the lap belt 😂
Thanks! 👍
Can You use same technique instal the Nuna Pipa in car´s front passenger seat?
Jeff, you should never put your child in the front passenger seat. The airbags are extremely dangerous for car seats.

@@wildjeff yes it absaloutly is safe
@@wildjeffI won’t unless I had no other choice. Other passenger in front seat before a rfing seat (in the US).
@@travismalott389 You can disconnect airbag for passenger seat.
Wow
No one shows HOW TO REMOVE THE CARSEAT FROM THE BASE.
On the side of the base, there’s a button. Push on it and lift the car seat

Look up Nuna’s certification
We own this seat, and this is a second method of installing the seat per Nuna.

There is a hook in the back that the shoulder strap is threaded into. It’s not going to go anywhere
