What do you guys think of the new 2024 Harley-Davison Street Glide? Do you like the new Skyline OS system? Is it stiff competition for Indian's Ride Command? Let me know below 👇🏻
Good video, but I thought it would handy to point out that some accessories will transfer over. I compared the OEM fiches for the 23 and 24 and found that the following parts are the interchangeable: front brake and clutch levers, tour pack mounting hardware (both fixed and 4-point docking), passenger floorboards, (edit: the slip ons might not work after further review), and rear brake pedal. I’m sure there are others, but these are only ones I cross referenced. You said no accessories can be transferred which is true about anything mounted to, as you noted, the front frame down-tubes and the fairing. The frame itself is the same part number, but the new stuff mounted to it in that area like the coolant reservoir and radiators are the issue. Front and rear drop guards also won’t transfer. I’m buying s ‘24 SG in a week or so and have started stripping parts off my ‘22 Road King so I’ll know for sure.
Thank you for the highly-detailed clarification there. That will help many who are considering moving their accessories over to this bike. This would also apply (I assume) to the new 2024 Harley Road Glide design.
Just watched your video, I bought this bike a week ago and I love it the way it looks, handle, and rides is awesome I’m very impressed and happy with it, I also own a 2019 Electra glide standard and they are very similar the standard is a lot faster ( I have had some engine work and a sweet cam installed) I’m having too much fun with both 😎
Im on 23 Indian pursuit. Always looking. Would you prefer this over chieftain. And why or why not. The cockpit is far better. I tested both. Liked both. Chieftain feels a bit lighter more nimble. But the look of street glide and the infotainment is hard to beat.
That’s a pretty tough call. I would probably take the Indian because I love Indians design and history, but this new Street Glide (and the new Road Glide) with the 117 and the new screen makes it a really, really tight call. If I won the lottery tomorrow I would take the new Road Glide and Indian Challenger. Those would be my ultimate 2 bikes. Previous years I would’ve taken the Chieftain, no contest. Now I have to think about it, so Harley has stepped up their game!
I’ve tried a 121 CVO road glide this year (video on the channel). It was incredible. Absolutely stunning performance-with a stunning price tag to match 😂 I would be happy with the 117, it’s spectacular with the liquid cooled heads. They did a fantastic job.
I just recently purchased a 24 Street Glide and Love the bikes power and handling! But my throttle feels twitchy or jumpy. I'm not sure if that is something with my bike specifically, like it needs some kind of adjustment? Like I have to be super precise with throttle movement. Going over bumps will move my throttle hand just enough to make the throttle jump, hard to explain but almost like it's too easy to move? Any input would be appreciated, Thank You, great video
@@michaelroy925 sport mode can be a little jumpy especially in a lower gear. Try putting it into rain mode or road mode. See if that changes anything. You also have additional ride modes that you can customize the level of traction control and accessible powerband. Making a custom ride mode could help. If that doesn’t work, best suggestion would be take it to your local Harley-Davidson dealer and ask them. It’s not as easy as it used to be with making a simple throttle cable adjustment. Throttle by wire is all computer controlled. They can plug a wire into the bike and make adjustments as necessary, but I would have no clue how to guide you on doing that yourself, sorry. If it is mechanical (like adjusting a tightening screw or something) then the service manual may have a suggestion.
Yeah, I've been doing all my riding in road mode for now. I did try rain mode briefly and it is a bit different. I am getting better, but still a bit of a challenge for me. Maybe something I just need to get used too 🤔
@@michaelroy925 Sorry I don’t have a better suggestion for you. But I know they are tunable because you can flash the bike computer and remap the throttle inputs/fuel injection. But again that’s definitely a dealership or tuning shop question. Hope you still are enjoying the new bike in the meanwhile.
The passenger pillion is a little bit wider than most normal 2-up pillion style seats. It didn’t feel super ‘cushy’ though. No matter what bike I get I always put a saddlemen seat on it anyway, and my passengers always like them 🤷🏼♂️

i just got one a white onyx pearl street glide, i love the bike so far, i don't like the audio controls on the throttle side
Thats the best color imo
Always appreciate your videos and review style.
Thank you sir! I appreciate you watching ✌🏻😎
My quad lock and cup holder fit fine
Beautiful paint
Yes it is! Beautiful paint job.

Congrats on the new ride! Glad you’re enjoying it so much. The Electra glide is a beautiful bike also!

How's the 117 vs the Indian's 116? Would you still choose the Chieftain over this?

117 has more upgrade potential and there’s always the 131 and 135.

Look forward to seeing the changes carry to the Ultra’s.
I do too!

I am a S/G fan but not the 24 model give me a 23 over this one
I’m sure there’s still plenty of 23 Street Glides available! There are some options of the 24 Street Glide without the Skyline OS as well.
You spend thousands and Harley can put on a proper two up seat

Since Harley is woke, be buying a different brand.....Harley is done
Come join the tribe over here at Indian. We have powered windshields and we were around before Harley. We ain’t woke! 😎
