I agree that he's the greatest of all time, but he's better than being refered to as something that's not coincidentally abbreviated as an homage to the Goat, Baphomet. Prince being a Man of God, a Jehovah's Witness, I can imagine he never wanted to be labeled a Goat. This abbreviation is no coincidence, no magic word spells are coincidence.

I came here after listening to Eddie Trunk’s podcast interview with Dave Pirner from Soul Asylum while reorganizing two kitchen cabinets. This is a GREAT song. I listened to Soul Asylum’s original first, then and came here to the Prince version. Art begets art.

He Princifyied the song again beautifully, the way he did with Creep and Crimson and Clover. I am sorry for the Soul Asylum, but he turned the song into something absolutely soulful and enthralling. The notes, versification and harmonies he added are just apposite, so simple and beautiful.

He took pain pills he was in physical pain he needed a hip replacement. This song could have several meanings . I wish he had gotten a good pain doc but he did what many artists did pop a pill and go back to work he didn't realize his pain pills were not what he thought they were . During much of his lifetime fentanyl was not common nor were pills being mismarked . It's sad because he wasn't trying to get high . He was trying to get out of pain . Percocet wasn't what he got but it was what he wanted . What he needed was a pain doc .
So, would you make this same statement about Tom Petty? Exact same thing happened to him, popped a pill for pain and it ends his life too.. Neither of these musicians had a pill/drug problem. Yet, here we are mourning their untimely deaths.😢 Remember the pharmaceutical industry is the world's drug dealers..yet, the ppl taking the drugs are the problem.. how is that logical?🤔

Wherever they came from, one thing is certain, Prince knew they weren't prescribed by a doctor. If had accidentally overdosed less than a week ago, there's no way I would knowingly ingest a narcotic without verifying it's origin.
What I find amazing is that Prince repeatedly insisted in the past that he could see no interest in covering other people's songs other than on the stage, and here he did it, right in the studio, and beautifully too!

Alcohol makes people less cautious. I’d rather be in a bingo hall with unvaccinated people than in a nightclub with them!
