Q's kitty goes to pieces. Watch the adventure that ensues.
And here we go again ... Casey Ladelle to the rescue !!!
He is one fine gentleman !!!
that will be a great road trip video
Pretty wild that the truck could run and operate to the point where it was not noticeably broken. Compare that beast to a modern civilian daily driver vehicle… a tiny problem like a funky o2 sensor and the vehicle will cry and complain and de-rate itself to 35mph and run like it just threw a rod. 😂I love old Cat equipment. Stuff was built right.
Cats are overbuilt .. They keep going and going until .. like this one, they literally DIE !!
Replace the motor and off they go again !!!!
hey, Casey LaDelle is one of my favorite channels to watch.... I believe he introduced me to your channel.
I hate Casey Ladelle !!!
No, I have not ordered the shirt ...
the cheap one would fit Riley fine !!!
Big machines, big tools and big problems. She'll be up and running in no time. Cheers.
Need to add a weather report to the start of your videos. Working on heavy iron in the cold is brutal 😮
You did all that on potato and eggs 🥚, excellent work
I've heard it said by other mechanics, "sometimes everything is a hammer". The work has to get done!
Thats a technical, hard, dirty job with no toom for error.
A tear down video showing the destruction would be awesome
Stay tuned
Was about to ask the same. It will be interesting to see if there's any damage.
Going to be really funny if all the oil squirters are in place and that oil squirter was just an extra coming along for the ride 😂
This gives a new meaning to a cam and lifter swap, Great project, thanks for bringing us along
Looking forward to Casey and part 2
Too bad about the engine, thats an expensive fix. Being in Northern Alberta, I see these trucks, and much bigger, go by and have been in 9ne of oil field shops, the fact that you are doing what your doing with limited resources is amazing. Great video
Well that escalated quickly lol. Hopefully the r&r went smoothly as I imagine it’s back up and running now again.
Great videos!!! As always!! BETTER than Hollywood!!!
But everyone knows scrambled eggs rule!!
Good old Casey to the rescue. great video😅
that tube may have been the catalyst of the other failures . intently watching
Good to get my iron king fix
Well that didn’t take long 😂
Where is the video of it all ?????
2 questions, 1 did you drain off some of the extra oil in crank case , 2 why don't you drag a air line out there and air up the air system .
Excellent stuff, can't wait for #2
Right before I left my last company, the same happened to an old 769, boss decided it wasn't worth a new engine, got towed to the parts yard, maybe fix one day!
Glad to see you back !!!!!
I'm a logger. I like to log. A lot. But that means that you have to have equipment that works. And that means that you have to work on equipment. I despise working on equipment.
I just subscribed to your channel. (Stupid logger. LOL)
Thank you for another great video.
Great job and content.👍🏼
Took a little bit of investigation but hearing casey talk about you made me think I know who that is. So I came to your channel to see if I was right. Yep I never met you but I worked on some your Wheelers with hamms offroad. Lol
Great video!!
As you said Quinton, good videos for us, definitely not for you... Lookin forward to the swap video. I really like the looks of the 773B
I came there from Catey's channel.
I initially like to watch all these off-road recovery, and found Catey's channel this way. I find his truck recovery activitied to also be really interesting and entertaining.
But now that, mining truck maintenance, it only gives me anxiety. I've got the feeling that every part that you remove could squeeze you to death if you do something wrong 😅. It's nerve wracking 🥲. You are doing a heal of a job, I'm not even dreaming of feeling like I could manage it even if I had the knowledge and all the knows-to. I wouldn't trust myself to be enough aware of what I'd be doing.
Great job and keep safe.
Pretty cool.. thanks for the video
Heavy equipment repair hell yeah 👍
That’s just crazy. Hope the engine replacement goes smoothly 😮
Cool Engine Take Apart ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! CRAP'S A FIXIN' TO GET WESTERN ON US!!!!!

🤔🤦🏻♂️😅🤷🏻♂️
Needed an oil change anyway.
It may be time to add a bigger bay to your shop! You have been working on some monsters. Hopefully you will tear this engine down to see what happened. Thanks.
wow!
what a beast great video, speaking of service trucks did u ever use old international service truck u bought used awhile back and did the video were u drove it back across the state to your shop?
Yes I have
That’s the way it goes, 😢 at least you have an another engine available.
Heavy duty big time
Here cos of Casey La Delle.
So Wise , Thank You . As a concept would it be practical to do a reman? I know that would take time and cost money. Are rebuild parts avalable?
Neat!
Are there any parts salvageable from the old engine? Does CAT have a core exchange?
My little 1pz rebuild looks so small compared to that massive kitty cat
3:25 needs a cast iron grill..js. 😂😂😂..🎉🎉🎉..cheers
Let's see the Casey Ladell luck on this channel,, 150k for the motor,,,
Ooohhh, I wanna watch engine removal and install fresh engine.
Should do a video of rebuild that engine.
Very freaking interesting! Sucks for you. But hey ya made an awesome video!
When whoever started it first why didn’t they check the oil love the poor man black stone grill I got one too 😂works great
👍
What is a push tube?
Quinton, can you hook up a fitting to the air tanks to fill from an outside compressor?
These tanks are undneath the cab, with it being a water truck it would take hours to access them since the bed dosent raise
Im eating my words right now, watch part 2 and you will see why
I would, but , sometimes I question my own comments
Bought at auction ????? How many hrs since OH ????
Is that a new shop?
Thanks to Casey turned me on to your channel
I think I saw another RUclips channel sleep in that RV?
What's a new engine cost?
100K plus 50K core
will kitty purr again part 1
part 2 is kitty a happy kitty
It's only a 👶 777 are baby 787 are the big girls 😅
just out of curiosity which engine is this ,, it looks like a 3412 ,, i own a couple 3408 engines and it looks a lot like them just bigger
Yep 3412
@@quintonbartolotta cool , that's one big engine
@@wildcoyote34 In the world of CAT, the 3412 is a "mid size" engine.
@@ducewags i do know this ,, i've worked on a few bigger engines ,,like a 12V149 ,,always wanted to get my hands on a 3412
@@wildcoyote34 3412's fresh rebuilds ready to go, just a phone call away. Well in my area of Minnesota it's a thing.
OKS !!! ""OL' Murphy's Law "" hits again !!! Hate to see a good motor go bad !!! OH Well, at least you caught it B/4 it seized up !!! 👍👍👍👍👍
The good part is Casey Ladelle is in Part 2 ..
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Gotta love that Atomic dcf921! Those things are so nice! Super powerful for the tiny size they are. Dcf900(899 gen 1) is so big, unless you really need the torque & power! 🛠️🔧🔩⛓️👍🏻👌🏻🚜🚚🚧⚠️🛢️
First
$$$$$$$
Ehhh, not that bid a deal. Just needs a $10k engine !!!!!!!!!!!!!
10K? Try 150K hahaha
Sounds horrible
Your best yet. Great educational video on what it takes to be BADASS!
ngl this bangs!
