10/10 video. Considering all of these are turn 1 plays, I would really appreciate a similar in-depth analysis of how to play going second with Malice. I think that could be very interesting, especially the synergy with Accesscode talker banishing, perhaps update jammer if optimal, and Hearts of Crypter for easy OTKs, and maybe even SP Little Knight, etc. Could be very informative like this video.
The second these cards were announced, I made a deck list on my own for the first time and it's actually pretty good. I didn't even know they announced the new card yet, now I gotta work this into it
In the combo #3 (open with White Rabbit), you can still get a guaranteed draw 2 by adjusting monster placement: - at 11:54, SS Red Ransom to 2nd to the right zone instead of leftmost. - SS Dotscaper to the leftmost monster zone. - SS Transcode Talker to the left Extra Monster Zone using Link Decoder and Cyberse Wicckid. - Link Decoder triggered, bringing himself back. - SS SplashMage from the GY using Transcode Talker. - SS Firewall Dragon to the center monster zone using Transcode Talker and Link Decoder. - SS Sigma from your hand - SS G Golem Crystal Heart using Sigma and SplashMage. - Activate Crystal Heart's effect: SS Transcode Talker from the GY. Now Firewall is co-linked with both Transcode Talker and Red Ransom, so you get to add back both Cheshire Cat and another Malice monster. The rest is the same, but you get that sweet draw 2. I'm trying to cook up some combo with Protectcode Talker but to no avail for now.
Thanks bro I was trying very hard to make the Rabbit combo into a guaranteed draw 2. I had a feeling there was a way to do it if I changed the placements but couldn't find it. So I really appreciate your comment Im gonna try it out. Also, I started off playing Protectcode at first. I think the new White Queen replaces him because the real reason Protectcode was good is for banishing your GY on your opponents turn. Now you can do that with White Queen instead. I feel like making him is awkward in these combos too

Awesome video! This time I have nothing to critique! ^^ Your decklist and ED look pretty refined for the moment. I am just not sure if D-Fissure is needed at the moment. Also how good do you think Exceed is in the deck? In Mathmech it made sense since it could start your combos but in Malice it just is another Cyberse extender. Couldn’t for example Druiswurm or other extenders be a better alternative? Druis can of course be used as a handtrap but it also gives you 2 bodies by banishing a Malice and it can be used if your board gets cleared by Nib while Exceed can‘t without Link Spider. Yes you can‘t go for Splash Mage but you could go for S:P instead and banish another Malice and go from there. That way it wouldn’t make much of a difference and you can still use Splash Mage later in the combo. But the problems I see with that is that you need multiple Malice monsters in the GY that you haven‘t banished yet and if you locked yourself early with Splash Mage. I don’t know how much you can play around so you use him later in the combo. I think this just has to be tested more to get to the answer which card is preferable in most situations. This deck seems pretty strong right out of the gate. With 1 card you end on at least 4 interruptions (up to 7 when we still have Apo but Gryphon is of course also really strong) and 3 draws. I am just not 100% sure if the deck is consistent enough and if it can beat Lancea and Nib consistently enough to be a Tier 1 deck on release and how the banlist looks when this deck comes out but in return it can play Shifter and 1 for 1 handtraps especially ones that target like Veiler and Imperm are pretty ineffective since the deck can either play trough them or dodge them completely. And if you play the Bystial version it makes these handtraps even les of a problem. The deck has huge potential and it is going to be a Tier 1 deck with the right support in the form of mostly starters and extenders like for example another Spell that searches or specials from the deck and more Main deck monsters that can extend by special summoning themselves from the hand by banishing a Malice card from the GY or another Link monster like an in archetype Splash Mage like Link 2 or more cards that can recycle your banished cards. And now for the people that are interested: In the second combo If you don‘t care about saving S:P (or if you play Lizardose but you could play more useful cards instead) you can also go for her instead of going into Splash Mage. That way the combo is exactly the same as combo Nr.1 to guarantee your draws. There also is another combo you can go for that doesn’t use Sigma which ends on Terahertz + GWC with all 3 Malice Links in the GY. So you lose I:P but end on Hearts of Crypter. But ending on I:P seems to be the way better option to turn all of these free bodies into disruptions.
Thanks bro! I definitely think Parallel Exceed is replaceable. I would personally replace with 1x Meowmine and 1x Code of Soul if you are playing the Cyberse Spam version. If not then I think Replacing all Extenders with a Bystial engine is good. Also I always side D. Fissure out. I keep it in the main deck because if you go 1st game one and they stop all your plays, then simply slamming a D. Fissure and passing can win you tons of games. But game 2 I take it out for non-engine. If Apo stays legal then definitely go for Apo instead of Gryphon, but Gryphon can win you ridiculous games sometimes. I just didn't want the video to age like milk if they ban Apo tomorrow. I do think its hyper consistent, and I barely ever brick with it. I can play thru hand traps and still set up good boards. Also the Queen Of Hearts boss can out Skill Drain and doesnt get negated by Dark Ruler which is huge game 2 and 3. If people start siding Lancea, then you'll need to play counters in the side deck like crossout maybe. Lastly those are some good combo lines. I definitely forgot to mention that summoning S:P as an extender is a play sometimes if you need to banish your own GY. I:P Masquarena is stupid broken in this deck since you can spam like 5 monsters on your opponents turn, giving you tons of bodies for plays. But sometimes a Terrahertz and a GWC can still win you games on their own.
Unfortunately its not nearly as good. Backdoor can help you dodge disruption, but its not a replacement for Cynet Mining because its a bad searcher. You need to open Backdoor + Field Spell to even be able to summon the monster you search. If you don't open the field spell then you have to normal summon first and then search, but the monster you searched will usually just be stuck in your hand. If you open no Malice monsters then Backdoor is really bad. In all those situations Cynet Mining is better. But you can play with 3x Mining 1x Backdoor in my opinion
yes cynet and shifter does conflict Mouse and shifter does pretty much the same as white rabbit and shifter, trust me you can figure it out just combine parts of the combo together
@@laartistainky1949 This is true I've messed up my combos so much but cause these are 1-2 card combos you have 3-4 other cards plus the draw 2 from cat to work with and end with the same board.
Taking notes on alot of the combos but i was wondering what the paln is if your oponent doesnt choose to nib for the anti nib combo? Is your goal just nontarget banish + hts/follow up or can it be a bit of a stronger set up?
If you declare End Phase and your opponent doesn't Nib, then you can possibly make some End Phase plays by using one of the Traps to banish White Queen -> Summon A Malice From Deck -> Summon Back White Queen & Draw 1 Card. However, the result is pretty much the same, and I prefer to hold the trap most times. The only other way I know of in this variation of the deck is to summon S:P as your third summon, and you also have 1 trap for next turn (but you cant non-target banish). Nibiru hurts this deck, but sometimes you have enough extenders and draw power to keep playing, and you can use the Nibiru token to make a Malice Link.
Shifters more of a side deck option because a lot of decks Nowadays don't need the grave nearly enough to warrant Shifter and if your Malice link monsters are banished to many times the grind game you once had will be gone the only exception to that is that GWCQ trap and aside from 1 copy you don't really want to have to run more than 1 copy each of each Malice just to have a explosive grind game you'd rather have the explosive grind game without unnecessary cards.
@@jacobwoodard818 I think Shifter is definitely main deck in this variant. It hits almost every meta deck, and you can still combo under it. It does conflict a little with Cynet mining, but that's all really. Once you're used to the deck, you won't have to worry about banishing your links at the wrong point
@@earthteamjordan Well the only 3 decks I would fear are Tenpai, Yubel and Snake-Eyes(If Konami messes up.). But with the Fiendsmith engine being every deck a person can afford I guess there is enough merit to main decking Shifter and even if your good enough to beat all of them without it it does increase the number of mistakes you can make.
@@6210classickWell try convincing me that decks other than Snake-Eyes, Tenpai, and Yubel are so terrifying that you need Shifter. Thats right people can still skillfully beat other decks without it.
The deck is deceptively really difficult to play actually, there are so many things to keep in track, when you can banish and extend, what names were already banished in a turn, what kind of end board are you looking for if you get hand trapped twice. In fact if this deck becomes meta/best deck in a format we may not even play Shifter in it as we get our banishes out easier if we DON'T have it activated already 😂😂
high skill celling deck for sure, and extremely fun to play. knowing how to play under shifter is so key to the deck though, especially if you shifter'd your opponent while they went first. allowing you to set up without investing so much of your combo pieces into a decent board.
As a Ritual Beast main, not nearly as hard in terms of memorizing your special summon count under the heat of battle. Much easier to keep track of your plays in Maliss because there are no loops in terms of combos. The Maliss combo themselves are quite simple as opposed to what you see with Ultimate Cannahawk and contact fusing.
Okay I will be honest I do not like how you do your presentation but that's a me thing. Having said that I think what you are making here is really important as currently yugioh is lacking in regards to guides for new decks.
Also side note might wanna make sure the link arrows actually point towards 2 of the malice monsters when you summon them back bc of their extra protection effects
It's tricky, but if you open the Field Spell or Allure + Malice then you can normal summon Dotscaper. If you don't, then you have to summon him with Firewall Dragon
Why backup secretary over code of soul? I get that COS requires a link monster but I don't think it is that hard to make a link monster, especially there are cards like linguriboh. It also has an added bonus of linking during opponent's turn to link out firewall neo tempest or other link 3 or higher cyberse monster.
Sometimes you don't want to waste your Decoder or you don't wanna summon your other Link 1's too early. If they interrupt your normal summon its nice to simply summon Secretary and keep playing. But I definitely think Code Of Soul is good, and you can play it instead of the Parallel Exceed package together with secretary
@@earthteamjordan I guess it is just up to the player. Also, after some testing, D-Fissure and D-shifter do look kinda pointless and bricky, especially against Tenpai, which was kind of a majority in my region(OCG). Not that those card are bad but the meta will shift, and as demonstrated on how to play with D-shifter. Even Snake-Eyes still have some lines to play. Though restricted but possible. Lastly, if Knightmare Gryffon, proposal to squeeze in Muckraker somewhere.
@@arysteincrimson3266 Maybe not as effective against Tenpai but it does hurt them and can prevent some OTKs. The best weapon against Tenpai is Terrahertz because it negates all battle phase effects. I usually take out D Fissure game 2 and 3, so it is replaceable, but it can be a win condition sometimes too. Shifter is broken so I'll have to disagree, it stops Yubel, Snake Eyes, Fiendsmith, and so many more decks. Gryphon + Queen of Hearts + Shifter is almost always enough to stop snake eyes for example. Mucracker is interesting tho maybe I'll test it 🤔
@@jaredricci9278 Lancea definitely hurts. A well timed Nibiru is still annoying too. Spellbound is a sneaky one too if it's well timed. Chaos Hunter can be just as bad as Lancea. Royal Decree is an idea but there's better options. Soul Drain is very strong. The good thing is most of those are side deck cards so they won't be a problem game 1. Game 2 you might need to side in some responses. Also besides those cards I mentioned, the deck has enough gas to play thru most generic hand traps. The traps help you dodge imperm and veiler. And just 1 extender can play thru ash. Droll is not a problem either, but it can prevent you from full combo sometimes
@earthteamjordan yea not a fan of this deck at all. Just curious so imperial iron wall/lancea/belle/chaos hunter to a much lesser effect. Appreciate you
@@jaredricci9278 I got you bro. Definitely start side decking 1 or 2 of those cards if the deck sees play. Especially if you dont like going against it
that cant possibly be a good way to play through nib cant you just make fifth summon red ransom instead its more natural and you get the field spell to extend through it and if they dont have nib you dont end on nothing
Not only that, he also used most of times the trap that special from deck immediately , instead of keeping it for red ransom, which not only is more safe, but it is probably also the most optimal play; but I guess it is like that only if you play Lizardose instead of wickid, because otherwise you have to use splash mage instantly, which is kinda bad if it gets interrupted. At this point it's almost clear that lizardose is FAR better than wickid, the fact that the second is cyberse and this way you can still go into transcode is not worth it in my opinion. And I say this as a huge cyberse fan, so I even have some bias for my boys Wickid and transcode.
@@nicholasensor1254 I did test that. I do agree it's more natural, the problem is you'll only end on 1 Link 4 or a Link 2. If you summon White queen instead, then you can set the GWC trap. So you end on a Link 4 or a Link 2 plus the trap to bring back all your malices and then set the trap that banishes
@@6210classick I hope neither get banned honestly. Realistically tho, I think enough people have been complaining about Apo to make it a possibility. I don't think they'll hit shifter but only time will tell. Maybe it'll go to 1 or 2
@@earthteamjordan This is not the OCG, we don't do garbage hits to 2 that often like them. I think ya might want to make another video with a build that uses neither just Incase the banlist drops within the next few days and hits them both
@@6210classick Well I purposely didn't play Appolousa in this video so that won't matter. But technically almost all these combos can make Apo. If shifter gets banned that only affects the last combo, and I think some people would still play D. Fissure. I really don't think Shifter will get hit, but if im wrong I'll come back here and tell you were right lol
Gonna be a super long time. It's typically around 3-4 months diff from OCG to TCG, and another 3-4 months from TCG to MD. There have been some exceptions where MD got OCG cards before TCG, but it's rare, Usually it's like 7-8 months between OCG announcement and getting the cards in MD.
Its a bit annoying but you can discard with Cynet Mining, or summon it with Firewall Dragon. You can also normal summon it if you open the field spell.
I'm sorry but your combo to out nibiru is very bad. What if your opponent just passes prio now you force yourself in EP to banish white binder and you end with a 1.5 interruption which is MTP + a possible banish 1-2 cards in GY. There are ways especially for mouse to combo and still make much greater boards than this. You just need to account for the nib lines and adjust the ED appropriately. Also field can combo in a very similar way under Nibiru and rabbit can combo under Nibiru but you need an extender like a bystial. If you are curious the better way to out Nibiru especially with the mouse line is to make ransom and use the field spell as an extender to banish cat from deck and make splash using link spider into your plays
@@earthteamjordanthe recycle ability of this deck too weak, it can't play at late game. Although it has trap card to dodge veiler, imperm, ... but only play one copy to reduce bricks. Kashtira have fenrir, unicorn, .... All of them have recycle ability and too strong. In my opinion this deck too sucks
@@huyonic How does this deck not good at recycling cards when you have a link 3 that can set traps from grave and one that can shuffle back what that same link 3 banishes? You can essentially set it up to where you are summoning rabbit on the opponent's turn to set a trap and recycle resources for next turn. Keep in mind that you have a trap that adds and you can activate the traps the same turn they are set by banishing. It is weird because those decks you mentioned did not reach the level they are at now until they got more support. Malice is really good for a first wave of support. Now if the second and third wave do very little, then yeah it sucks

In the combo #3 (open with White Rabbit), you can still get a guaranteed draw 2 by adjusting monster placement:
- at 11:54, SS Red Ransom to 2nd to the right zone instead of leftmost.
- SS Dotscaper to the leftmost monster zone.
- SS Transcode Talker to the left Extra Monster Zone using Link Decoder and Cyberse Wicckid.

- SS SplashMage from the GY using Transcode Talker.
- SS Firewall Dragon to the center monster zone using Transcode Talker and Link Decoder.

- SS G Golem Crystal Heart using Sigma and SplashMage.
- Activate Crystal Heart's effect: SS Transcode Talker from the GY.

A lot of decks nowadays don't need the GY nearly enough....
Snake-Eyes, Fiendsmith Engine and Yubel....
Ur out of ur mind
The Maliss combo themselves are quite simple as opposed to what you see with Ultimate Cannahawk and contact fusing.
wheres malice discord
Okay I will be honest I do not like how you do your presentation but that's a me thing. Having said that I think what you are making here is really important as currently yugioh is lacking in regards to guides for new decks.
Thanks bro. What would you like to see more of/less of in the future 🤔
Ofc a cyberse trap controle deck ends up being firewall spam + 1 or 2 traps
sadge🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
Also side note might wanna make sure the link arrows actually point towards 2 of the malice monsters when you summon them back bc of their extra protection effects
I’m curious. Sigma isn’t the brick, but Dotscaper…
What if you draw Dotscaper?
Mucracker is interesting tho maybe I'll test it 🤔
Besides lancea what stops the deck?
Especially if you dont like going against it
@earthteamjordan I used to play eldlich kashtira and it just got to be not fun anymore. I've been on star seraph razeiol
@@jaredricci9278 I'm interested in Raizeol and am a big fan of Star Seraphs from back in the day, so I'm definitely gonna test that out
that cant possibly be a good way to play through nib cant you just make fifth summon red ransom instead its more natural and you get the field spell to extend through it and if they dont have nib you dont end on nothing
@@earthteamjordan your right red ransom only works on immediate nib with dormouse and white rabbit gets nibed before you can even get to a link3
if you just make a fire wall before going end phase this is pretty good
1 card = +18 😮
Bro frrrr 😂😂
really good
good guide
Do ya think Shifter won't get banned while Apollousa will?
Any info on if it's gonna come to Master Duel?
Gonna be a super long time. It's typically around 3-4 months diff from OCG to TCG, and another 3-4 months from TCG to MD.
There have been some exceptions where MD got OCG cards before TCG, but it's rare,
Usually it's like 7-8 months between OCG announcement and getting the cards in MD.
@@luckyjc8702 Thanks for the confirmation
pro you brought me a headache why not play it control with bystial and impulse
He explained why, dipshit
Very demure
Very mindful
Very cutesy
Cheshire Cat pronunciation is painful
What happens if you draw the dotscaper?
Are you saying to make Ransom with binder and mouse? If so, how would you use splash mage if you already used it earlier in the combo?
can I have a sauce ?
Great video! Not that it really matters but Dominus Impulse locks you out of Earth not Fire
what is the name of the emulator?
@@vondet9736 Edopro
@@earthteamjordan thanks but how do you have the malice card, I just tried and I can't find them
@@vondet9736 It's because the A is spelt weird. Try searching for their names like Binder or Ransom for example
I hope Konami starts to prehit cards again otherwise more quit
What the fuck is that intro
wtf is that goofy decklist?!
This deck sucks ngl. People hype it too much
@@darklaw7635 It has its weaknesses but I definitely wouldn't say it sucks. It's actually really powerful and annoying to play against
@@earthteamjordanthe recycle ability of this deck too weak, it can't play at late game. Although it has trap card to dodge veiler, imperm, ... but only play one copy to reduce bricks.
Moreover, the main deck monster too weak that make this deck won't be meta. Let's see Snake-eyes we have Flameberge, Yubel have Spirit of Yubel, Voiceless voice have Skull guardian, Sauravis.
Best way to play this deck? Not at all is the best way.
Play other TCGs, stat away from Konami.
