Mass Effect 3: Tali has a conversation with EDI

    Tali has a conversation with EDI after the Tuchanka: Downed Vessel mission (the mission where you rescue the Turian Platoon led by Primarch Victus's son). You can only get this conversation if you not complete the mission until after you complete the Geth-Quarian arc and Tali becomes a squadmate, assuming you brokered peace/let the Quarians live.
    I believe this conversation replaces the conversation between Tali, Ken, Gabby, and Adams where Tali modifications on the Normandy without simulations first.

      @@KasumiRINA as I understand it, this dialogue was recorded back when ME3 was designed to let you complete missions in any order. As it stands missions as locked, you can't go back to Tuchanka after the Genophage is cured, so you can only get this dialogue through mods. There are lots of hidden files like this one in the game! Very fun :)

      Its good to do 3 playthroughs of ME3 - give yourself Tali, then Kaidan, then Ashley immediately after you do Vancouver -> Mars -> Citadel -> Priority: Palaven AND then use the one squadmate on all missions. Some like Priority: Tuchanka - Tali will be silent BUT during some other missions she will actually surprise you with dialogue. Also, she has a lot of these voice comms that you simply cannot hear if you dont save missions until you recruit her - by cheating her to your ship immediately after Palaven you can finally hear all of those.

    Wait how do you get tali’s mission before Tuchunka?

    • @RedCaesar97
      @RedCaesar97  4 года назад +53

      You cannot get Tali before Tuchanka. However, you only have to complete Priority: Tuchanka (The Shroud, cure or destroy the genophage) before recruiting Tali.
      So you can investigate the Rachni rumors (find the missing Krogan scouts) for Wrex, which unlocks the The Shroud mission. You can save the Turian Platoon and Cerberus Bomb missions for later.
      Notes:
      - After rescuing the Turian Platoon, I believe you have up to three missions before the Cerberus Bomb explodes. (I have never let it explode; I can only tell you what other players have discovered)
      - If you wait too long, you cannot rescue the Turian Platoon. If I recall, you cannot rescue the Turian platoon if you have completed Horizon/Sanctuary.
      EDIT: Actually I think the mission to rescue the Turian platoon goes away either after you talk to the Asari Councillor (when she gives you the mission to go to Thessia), or after you complete Thessia.
      Hope that helps.

      @@lucajohnen6719 And given the fact that Legion showed you that Geth could easily wiped Quarians if they chose to, this changes everything.
      Quarians, at least in ME1 and some of the ME2, were always resentful of Geth, cause they expelled them from their homeworld.
      But Koris in ME2 was right. They tried to disable all the Geth, even though Geth just wanted to live and serve. Hell, it was shown in their "memories" that they were even willing to reprogram themselves just to "suit" quarians need. But Quarians decided to try to kill them all. And that was why Geth retataliated. And even then, they allowed Quarians to escape.
      Plus, by this point, Tali is already accustomed to the EDI. Especially if you recruited Legion and completed his loyalty mission in ME2. She even advocated to NOT try another strike at Geth like Gerrel and Xen wanted to.
      In the end, what happened to Quarians was entirely their fault. They created something magnificent(networked intelligence, Geth) but instead of trying to truly understand what they achieved, they decided to destroy it. And i am not surprised that geth, even if they are AIs, decided to deffend themselves.
      But it is kinda funny in my ME galaxy after ME3.
      Genophade cured = Krogan-birthrate and expansion boom - Dangerous but deserved
      Geth and Quarian peace = If Krogan ever starts another Rebellion, Geth should be more than able to send them to hell.
      Rachni - They are forever in debt of humanity, more specifically, in debt of THE COMMANDER. They are supposedly not warlike species(Reapers or whatever messed with the queens that were alive during the Rachni wars) but history knows that if they choose to wage a galactic war, they are incredibly proficient at it.
      And all of these species are in debt of Humanity/Commander Shephard. Which means that by the end of the Reapers War, humanity may be the most powerful force in the galaxy. Not only because of their military power, but also because they have "the most powerful" races in the galaxy to back them up. I mean Krogans needed to be "genetically altered" to be stopped. To stop Rachni, they needed to uplift Krogan. Noone knew what to do with Geth.
      And then a lone human Commander come. Human, part of the species that wasn't even there when many of these problems arised, but they managed to solve all of them. In fact, during the Rachni Wars and Krogan Rebellion, people on Earth were too busy with killing each other with pointy sticks. When Quarians created Geth, humanity barely had a steam engine.
      And if i have to choose, i would rather choose Geth, Krogan, Rachni to be in my debt than Asari(who would lie to you or hide the truth anyway,), Salarian(who would spy on you anyway) and Turians(not all of them are bad or stupid, but it was shown that their leadership is usually consisted of weak-minded fools, like Councilor for example, although Garrus rised my opinion on them alone, cause i really like his personality, he is bro).
      And let the Salarians+Asari+Turains go against Krogan+Geth+Quarians+Humanity+Rachni. See how long they would hold.

    Waitwaitwait, Victus' missions need to happen within a three mission count, or else Cerberus detonates the bomb and you automatically fail them both. Either way , they happen long before Tali joins the Normandy, so unless I'm misremembering something, how is this dialogue a thing..?

    • @RedCaesar97
      @RedCaesar97  Год назад +2

      You can rescue Victus after Priority: Tuchanka (The Shroud, cure/sabotage the genophage), but before you talk to the Asari Councilor. In other words, you can recruit Tali and Ashley/Kaiden then rescue Victus and stop the bomb on Tuchanka.
      If you have not rescued Victus and you talk to the Asari councilor (which unlocks Thessia), then "Turian Platoon" (rescue Victus) mission becomes unavailable. The mission may still appear on the galaxy map but you cannot play the mission.

  • @Admiralkirk95
    @Admiralkirk95 3 года назад

    Wait they are talking about Primarch victus' son, but that is done during the tuchanka part of the game and I believe you cannot do it once you save/screw over tuchanka. But Tali only joins that crew until after Rannach, how? Or does doing the first part of Victus' rescue mean it goes on hold as long as you like? I've never tried that.

    • @RedCaesar97
      @RedCaesar97  3 года назад +8

      You need to do one of two missions to unlock the Shroud mission (cure/sabotage the genophage): discover what happened to Wrex's missing scouts, or rescue the Primarch's son. Doing either of one of those missions will open the priority Tuchanka mission where you can cure/sabotage the genophage.
      If you rescue the Primarch's son, you have a three-mission limit to go disable the Cerberus bomb. If you do not play the mission to disable the bomb, it will explode and you will lose War assets.
      Whichever Tuchanka mission you DO NOT choose to complete (rescue the platoon or find the missing Krogan scouts), you can complete the missions at any time after the final Tuchanka but before the Thessia mission. If you wait until after Thessia, then the mission may appear but you can no longer complete it.
      So in the case of this video, I held off rescuing the Primarch's son until after I recruited Tali but before going to Thessia.
      * Note that the cutoff for the mission may actually be talking to the Asari councillor, which gives you the Thessia mission.
