I can't seem to connect the rear view camera. I don't know if have to connect the cable with the "BACK" label. I have a esky rear view cam. Can you help?
The cable marked "back" have to receive +12v in order to trigger the display. Me, I connected the 3rd red wire that was around the RCA extension cable to it. On the rear, I've connected the same wire to the +12v that I took from the reverse light (the same that I use to power the camera itself). You can also apply +12v to the cable marked "back" thru a switch, this way you can enable the back camera while driving, but having to flick a switch is not ideal. Check this for details: ruclips.net/video/wShXm8ScqnQ/видео.htmlm10s
then either you bring an extra cable from the back of the car (connected to the + of the reverse light), you find in the connection box / fuse box the reverse light +12v and you split it there, or you connect a +12v thru a toggle switch that you will manually press when you want to see the back cam.
Unfortunately, as I mentioned before, you need a dash kit. The Toyota radio is NOT DIN, you need to cover about half in each side. The good news is that you don't have to pay what I've pay for a dash kit, those days you find good prices on Ali* :)
How soon after starting the car can you use the backup camera? Does it have to fully boot up first? I would hate to have to wait 30+ seconds before it would come on to back out of a parking spot and would end up rarely using it. By that time I would already be out of the parking lot.
The backup camera is displayed instantly, but if you relay on OS additions, like mirroring or the marking lines, those appear only after the full boot (a $12 backup camera is already mirrored and has the guide lines, I'm mentioning it just in case).

I see you chose the touch only version without physical buttons and knobs. I'm hesitating between this and the versions with a physical volume knob. Did you notice any problems using the touch buttons? Thanks
No problems with the touch, only that as a driver, it requires far more attention than a button - you really have to find the sensors and that require you to get your eyes from the road and concentrate on the H.U. This issue can be mitigated if you have steering wheel controls. Otherwise, it's a total pleasure to use it.
Now, that my hands "know" where to touch, I really enjoy the smooth face of this unit, but at the beginning I was always searching for the volume knob :)
Have you made a video regarding the installation of the backup camera? I have the same camera kit and a Yaris 2007. If no videos are available I am willing to make one
Negative, mate. I have no video for backup camera install, as I was royally p*ssed when I saw the number-plate lamp not fitting, so I grabbed the Dremel and I didn't stopped 'till everything was on place.
I just had the same problem with the number plate lamp, had to use duct tape to hold it in place. I still haven't connected it to the reverse light. I don't know which wires to tap. Please can you guide me.
From factory, Yaris comes with a 200x100mm radio. All the "2DIN" units are 178x100mm - hence a fascia kit is needed when replacing the OEM radio (either that or a "trim kit", but it's ugly). I give this radio about 6.5 of 10 - it has quirks, but generally there are more advantages than disadvantages in using it.
Sorry, I've forget that part :) If you have steering wheel buttons or a remote such as Sony RM-X5S go all the way with the touch screen, otherwise get the one with buttons - buttons are easier to reach while driving. PS: pay attention, try to buy a recent version of the HU, the new ones are using Intel SOC and at least 2 GB of RAM, don't get tricked in paying for a Rockchip with 1GB of RAM!
Will these fit in my 2009 Toyota yaris it's a 1.3ltr we are in the UK also do I need to change the housing or wiring plus I don't need the reverse camera as I've got factory fitted reverse sensors does it come push an plug straight foward wiring hireness I don't want to be messing around cutting the wires
how did you remove the OEM screws on the sides? I've managed to take out my stereo, but I need to take out the two metal panels in order to mount my new stereo.
DEAR, HOW DID THAT TOYOTA LOGO APPEAR IN THE SCREEN ? I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD SHARE THE COMPLETE WIRING & INSTALLATION VIDEO. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

This specific device is two and a half yrs old and runs Android 4.4, I don't think you're going to get it anymore :) I would not buy a new one from the seller's web site, just in case you need a refund / repair / replace, so the best way would be to go on amazon.co.uk and look for "Yaris Android" - you might find some better units.
No mate, they are just throwing it on the SD, as a gift. If you're not a big fan of iGo, you can also install Here Maps, Tom-Tom, Sygic, Waze, Google Maps... almost any Android app would work.
It's pretty old now, you can find the original link in the description, but I do recommend a more up-to-date unit, for less than $300 you can get one such as this: www.carjoying.com/new-android-car-radio/quad-core-2-din-android-car-audio/joying-automotive-universal-vehicles-ram-2gb-rom-32gb-7-inch-double-2-din-hd-pip-touchscreen-panel-new-developed-android-5-1-1-lollipop-bluetooth-4-0-gps-navigation-professional-head-u.html

Also, if you don't have the steering wheel buttons, buy a unit with physical buttons, touching the right volume sensor could be tricky while driving. Otherwise is a pleasure having it in the car. Waze works well on it.
+Sorin Toma looks bigger than 7". I measured the space in the yaris sedan where I already have a double din in there. its 8" x 4". Looks like yours is the same
:) I think I've mentioned in a couple of other comments, the Yaris stereo is NOT 2DIN, the size of it it's 200x100 mm (about 8x4in), while the standard 2DIN is 180x100mm (about 7x4in) - the after-market Head Units are all standard 2DIN - you need a different "FASCIA FRAME KIT" or some "SIDE BRACKETS", otherwise you have holes of about half inch on each sides.

This issue can be mitigated if you have steering wheel controls. Otherwise, it's a total pleasure to use it.
so if you were upgrading, would you get a model buttons and volume knob?
Now, that my hands "know" where to touch, I really enjoy the smooth face of this unit, but at the beginning I was always searching for the volume knob :)
Great, then I'll go for this model :)
Sorin Toma would you please take exact measurements of the front panel? They claim 178mmx102mm, but it looks bigger than standard 2din
How much basic question
Nothing - basic answer :) We are looking at a five (5) years old thing, it's value is absolutely zero.
Hi my friend i'm in Montreal too , and i need yout help , and the link for buying the screen doesn't work
It'e four years old, you should search on Amazon/eBay/Ali for more recent units and not looking to buy something that's already obsolete!
Yeah I have the same part for the rear camera, it does not fit, I guess I'll have to mod it.
Do make a video :)
Quavizo hi! I have the 2007 and I was hoping to install a joying system as well. Did you need to purchase anything extra for your installation?
I just had the same problem with the number plate lamp, had to use duct tape to hold it in place. I still haven't connected it to the reverse light. I don't know which wires to tap. Please can you guide me.
How much inch car sett for tayota yaris 2007model

what is the sponge on the antenna cable for?
You mean the one at 2:44? It was there from the beginning, in fact all the cables there have some sort of padding, so it doesn't rattle in the dash.
What is the actual Hight/With/Length
That would be 178 x 100 mm
Salut Sorin,
I bought it six or seven years ago, it's pretty old, you certainly want something more recent.
How much for Android
I don't remember, it was probably around $400 or so.
do you think the button version will fit toyota yaris 2008/2009 ? and hows this unit out of 10 ?
From factory, Yaris comes with a 200x100mm radio. All the "2DIN" units are 178x100mm - hence a fascia kit is needed when replacing the OEM radio (either that or a "trim kit", but it's ugly).
I give this radio about 6.5 of 10 - it has quirks, but generally there are more advantages than disadvantages in using it.
Sorin Toma thanks for the reply but should i go with the one has volume button or this one win ?
Sorry, I've forget that part :)
If you have steering wheel buttons or a remote such as Sony RM-X5S go all the way with the touch screen, otherwise get the one with buttons - buttons are easier to reach while driving.
PS: pay attention, try to buy a recent version of the HU, the new ones are using Intel SOC and at least 2 GB of RAM, don't get tricked in paying for a Rockchip with 1GB of RAM!
Sorin Toma my steering wheel has buttons then thanks am going with touch screen one again thanks for the unlimited help
one more question my friend is installation hard ?
Will these fit in my 2009 Toyota yaris it's a 1.3ltr we are in the UK also do I need to change the housing or wiring plus I don't need the reverse camera as I've got factory fitted reverse sensors does it come push an plug straight foward wiring hireness I don't want to be messing around cutting the wires
What inch is the screen
7in
how did you remove the OEM screws on the sides? I've managed to take out my stereo, but I need to take out the two metal panels in order to mount my new stereo.

(I'm not paid for this 😋)
I need for toyota yaris2011
Definitely not this model. I'ts old, it runs Android 4.4
DEAR,
HOW DID THAT TOYOTA LOGO APPEAR IN THE SCREEN ?
I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD SHARE THE COMPLETE WIRING & INSTALLATION VIDEO.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.
go to settings -> factory settings. the password is m123456. now you have a big pile of logos to choose from. please DO NO CHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS if you are not 100% sure you know what is their meaning!
Salut! Multumesc
+Adrian-Bogdan Popescu Salut, e vorba de JY-UQ129 (www.carjoying.com/joyingr-2015-aftermarket-7-inch-universal-car-stereo-head-unit-android-4-4-4-kitkat-double-din-quad-core-as-tablet-car-radio-audio-gps-navigation-system-16gb-hd1024-600.html). Cum radioul are dimensiunile 178x100mm si Yarisul are radio-ul original de 200x100mm, a trebuit sa schimb "frame-ul" argintiu, ca aveam gauri pe langa :) Am comandat asta: www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-Car-refitting-dvd-frame-for-TOYOTA-Yaris-Vitz-Platz-Stereo-Panel-Facia-Plate-Dash/32321040306.html dar i-a luat vre-o 3 saptamani pana sa ajunga. Eu l-am comandat pe asta: www.carjoying.com/joying-harness/toyota-harness/joyingr-harness-wiring-cable-for-universal-toyota-in-dash-android-joying-car-stereo-radio-head-unit.html si n-am modificat nimic la el - plug and play 100%
+Adrian-Bogdan Popescu Anytime, with pleasure!
Can you get this system in U.K.? Thanks
This specific device is two and a half yrs old and runs Android 4.4, I don't think you're going to get it anymore :) I would not buy a new one from the seller's web site, just in case you need a refund / repair / replace, so the best way would be to go on amazon.co.uk and look for "Yaris Android" - you might find some better units.
do u have to pay for the GPS?
No mate, they are just throwing it on the SD, as a gift. If you're not a big fan of iGo, you can also install Here Maps, Tom-Tom, Sygic, Waze, Google Maps... almost any Android app would work.
what size is this LCD screen?
david valens, it's a 7 in.
Sorin Toma does it have to be 7 in
Not really. There are head units with screens form 6.1' up to 10' it only depends on the space available on your car's dash.
I whan't this radio! How much?
This is old buddy. You can find better deals on Ali express or Amazon. A good one should turn around $300-$400
where can I get this stereo? how much. ty
Hi, nice video. Is this the yaris hatchback or the sedan? I have the hatchback and I will like to have this stereo.
+Jose Mojica I see that is the hatchback. Do you recommend this unit?
+Jose Mojica Yeah, mate, hatchback. Don't forget the toyota universal harness and the fascia if you look to buy any of those chinese 2DIN units. Also, if you don't have the steering wheel buttons, buy a unit with physical buttons, touching the right volume sensor could be tricky while driving. Otherwise is a pleasure having it in the car. Waze works well on it.
@@sorin_toma do the steering wheel buttons work with this unit?
@@123Sander1231 , yes they do work.
How big is the screen on that unit? Great vid btw.
it's a 7 in. Thank you!
+Sorin Toma looks bigger than 7". I measured the space in the yaris sedan where I already have a double din in there. its 8" x 4". Looks like yours is the same
:) I think I've mentioned in a couple of other comments, the Yaris stereo is NOT 2DIN, the size of it it's 200x100 mm (about 8x4in), while the standard 2DIN is 180x100mm (about 7x4in) - the after-market Head Units are all standard 2DIN - you need a different "FASCIA FRAME KIT" or some "SIDE BRACKETS", otherwise you have holes of about half inch on each sides.
does it fix a yaris 2010 model?
Merci beaucoup
