At a festival a couple of years ago, Fuki (vocals) sang three full sets. One for Doll$boxx, one for her solo stuff, and one with Unlucky Morpheus. She's unreal.
Nice reaction, they are exceptionally talented. Shiren (white coat/growls) composer/lead guitarist, can't play as much as in the past due to his shoulder condition, so he's been re-writing his parts for Jill. They keep delivering great music.
I'm digging this, i first heard a couple of tracks by them because of the Touhou stuff around 2011, but only started to really get into them a few years later. I've been expecting them to get more recognition outside Japan for a while now, and it looks like 2020 is the year :) so many reaction videos this year.
Shiren, the male vocal, is also the primary lead guitarist. His role in this song has been taken by JIll on her violin. She kills it. Her violin is a combo of a lead guitar and keyboards for this band, depending on the song.
This song is about the inner monologue of someone who just got turned into a vampire. Basically: Fuki - Human side. Shiren - Vampire side (blood blood blood)
Cool reaction as usual. Thanks! Others are recommending "Dignity of Spirit" which is a great suggestion but I would add "Get Revenge on the Tyrant" live as a recommendation for a reaction video. It's from the same concert and just like this one also amazing.
Amid all the (justified) excitement over the Japanese all-female metal bands, we forget there are still guys who throw down. Shiren, founder and one of the guitarists, also does the growls. Fumiya (Drums) is, as you saw, insane and inexhaustible-one of the best rock drummers in the world. Jinya (G) and Ogawa (B) are top-tier as well. Fumiya and Ogawa also have interesting, “beast” personae which contrast with the “beauty” of Fuki and Jill. Fuki (lead singer) is a legend in Japan, and one of the busiest artists anywhere. She is lead singer for UM, Doll$boxx, Lightbringer and her own ongoing project, Fuki Commune. Her style is very much out of the Japanese classical tradition, with the oversold vibrato and intense high notes. She collaborates with a lot of the top musical talents in Japan. Jill (violin) also has a busy dance card, including collaborations with Fuki outside UM. I consider her the best rock/jazz/metal violinist in the world today, and probably the best since Jean-Luc Ponty. Jill is actually my favorite member of Unlucky Morpheus. Here are links to instrumentals featuring her in UM’s instrumental project Quadratum: Cover of van Halen "Eruption" ruclips.net/video/eTb0TQtVT6k/видео.html Cover of Malmsteen "Far Beyond the Sun" ruclips.net/video/E2hZDzJp9Pc/видео.html Cover of Dream Theater, played blindfolded: ruclips.net/video/8eZVVtaOBKk/видео.html I saw UM live in London in 2019, when they headlined Metal Matsuri. Great show, and the chemistry between Fuki and Jill was electric.
tomorrow there will be a recorded and inedit stream, check the twitter post about it :D twitter.com/ankimo_official/status/1298656346527522817 Ankimo this month really gifted us with 4 events, i think the first two are still awailable on their channel :D
You might give Theatre of Tragedy a listen, they were one of the first to combine the growls with the female counterpoint. I'd suggest Rose for the Dead ruclips.net/video/_LAKZaHQi2c/видео.html&ab_channel=CristiPop mostly due to it being one of the few videos still around by them.

DOLL$FESTA 2018 was epic! Fuki is a legend.
@@Gideon_the_Seeker Turer words have never been spoken.
She regularly do the Fuki Fest where she does that I think

Unlucky morpheus's music is a thing of beauty

Unlucky morpheus - Dignity of spirit! Live!
Incredibly talented.....lost for words

The illustration in upper left is drawn by Fuki the vocalist. She has drawn almost all jackets of their CDs.
She also makes all the dresses she wears. She does it all lol.
Im so proud of them:) really am and thank u for this reaction.
Freezeframe at 8:56 is exactly what a drummer needs to look like.
This song opens like a Nightwish song and then explodes in a totally different direction.
Dignity of spirit LIVE next, you will not be disappointed!
I was going to recommend the same thing. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/x7W9DcUKY_U/видео.html

Would be great if you could react to Tousei from Dir En Grey (live)

I'm sorry but I never came to your channel because the thumbnails feels very exagerated and cringe for me, but I'm glad I did this time xD
😆 Never judge a video by its thumbnail. Thanks for watching!
