The little round cylinder with a chain is called a headlight hole plug... you put it in the hole created when you remove the headlight fitting... keeps the tank watertight when the headlight is removed! 👍
Me sitting in front of four small and complex PE parts, my brain: "You mess up at least one and you'll loose another to the carpet monster. You end up printing them anyway, don't waste time...". Open clamps are very useful, mate. Makes it much more interessting to look at. Thanks for the shoutout : ) you were the cause of the last spike : ) Okay, I and others still fail at getting the handles printed on our home machines when it comes to toolclamps.
Really useful insight and I didn't realise these things were available. I got a set of various stowage items that even using one or two pieces does make a kit different from the standard out of the box. The open clamps could be useful if you are building a diorama where the tools are being used. It really does seem that adding some small details moves it from being 'just' a model to something much more interesting.
Hi, great review, I agree, 3D printing is the going to be huge & can image that soon complete model kits will be down loaded as a file as a posed to getting a traditional kit. Just finished watching Scale-a-ton & his 3D trailer amazing stuff. Great Chanel. 😀😁
Excellent review. It's nice to see a viable alternative to photo etch which ad we know can be labour intensive and can need specialist tools. Thanks for sharing.
Well impressed with those. I wouldn't enjoy the PE, that's for sure! I've got the German clamps and weapon slings and look forward to trying them out. Cheers.
I have heard that the" Anycubic Photon" 3D printer is a good one to start with. Starts around $250 on Amazon. I am still deciding if i should invest in one especially if i only use it once or twice.
Hi, Is there any chance of knowing in advance what models you are going to build in the series as I am finding a lot of the kits out of stock when your videos are uploaded, for example the Crusader Mk. III? I am really enjoying the series and learning an awful lot, but I want to keep making the kits as you do them rather than just watching the videos. Thanks Mike
I've got all these and the other sherman detail set with all the different antennas and tie town with the light guards etc unfortunately the lovely us tool clamp straps are inaccurate, they should have 2 tie-downs not 1 so abit of modification needs done there! I'm using mine for the tamiya m51 idf sherman and loads pe! But it's ashame them US tool clamps Are not correct I'm abitty bummed at that! Mines are Exactly the same from MJ but different colour mines are like a primer grey! I had to get the panzer 3 tool clamp set there slightly different
I need to get some of these, i hate the photo etch one’s, they ping away far too easily and gluing them is sometimes a nightmare, if you don’t get them down straight away they becomes useless, i know these can ping away too but at least gluing them will be much easier.
And yeah they should’ve done far less of the open version, i could use them but it would be much rarer like say on a distressed vehicle or repairs being done.
Very nice review. Are these actually resin? Or 3d printed plastic? If they're plastic can you use Tamiya extra thin to attach them? And I have to point out one glaring inaccuracy in your vid: there is nothing... NOTHING, more important than Panzers.
They are perfect for those that are looking for instant gratification, who want to do the least amount of work as possible. Mostly those who enjoy more the painting than building. I'll stick to PE
I had a 3D printer given to me for Christmas 3 years ago. Got it out of the box. Lots of head scratching. Watching RUclips. Now. It's still in the box. Hmmm

Lol. "There's more to life than Panzers" Wise words, Jason, in these troubled times. Interesting review. Keep up the good work.

*Thanks for the detailed revue, for the open clamps i can suggest abandoned vehicles, maintenance diorama, etc.*
Best modelling channel on youtube. keep it up
Thanks. Very good video. Really excited about the Sherman light guards. I have always hated trying to get the photo working properly. Keep it up.

When's the next video coming? Starting to miss the series!

Nice review. All parts looks so sharply and are very detailed. Does it expels PE clamps ?

What advice would give for applying a gloss / clear coat without an airbrush? Should I brush apply or use a spray can?
Hi dude any chance you showing the correct way to cut resin off of the sprue. Thanks
Does anyone know if Jason is ok, as the date on this video is February or is he using a different social media platform for his work now? Mike Harris
Any excuse to not use photoetch is a good idea in my book
But pe is your friend.
