I am from chickmagalur and we use Toor dal for obbattu and mix a pinch of turmeric with Maida flour, but the rest of the recipe is the same for obbattu, but for sambar we also add cinnamon and cloves along with oorna to bring that sweetness in the obbattu sambar. Our culture is so well blended that even though the dish is the same throughout Karnataka still ingredients are more or less different in every district 😊!!! Please try some German/European recipes as well in your future vlogs so our people can try them in their kitchen and have fun 😃
