This video was extremely helpful! Ive only lived in Dallas for a bit over a year and im ready to go due to the extremely high cost of living. I was looking into OKC however the higher risk of tornados is definitely frightening. Are there any areas that are low risk of tornadoes in OKC (if that is even a thing)?
Thanks for watching the channel! There is always a risk of tornadoes. However, most people in OKC have never seen one. You should respect them, but not fear them.
OKC really and truly is just Dallas-Lite. Tulsa is Austin-Lite. And everyone rural is involved in oil, ranching, or horses and wears stetson hats in both states. Only difference is one state has more expensive real-estate. Gas at 5% is miniscule at $2.50/gal. That's a dime minus difference per gallon. 😂 I love this as an Okie. Our state have a hardened rivalry, but in the end can always find common cultural grounds. I honestly believe if history were different: State of Seqyouah would exist, and OKC and everything to the west mostly would have been part of Greater Texas, or an even Smaller Oklahoma.
Yeah, I left Cali 20 years ago and I have never looked back. In my opinion California and Texas are the same state in different parts on the country. Congested! Oklahoma is like Arizona or Oregon, which are similar to California but different. And that's how Oklahoma is with Texas, similar, but less congested.
I have lived in San Diego for 11 years (I am 15) so most my life, I am originally from Oklahoma, I lived in OSU for a year and a half when I born, but then I moved to the campus of Ucsd, I visit my grandparents for Christmas and the rest of my family in Oklahoma, Guthrie every Christmas, and I have always loved Oklahoma more than cali, and my dad got a job at Ocu and i finally got to live there for a year, I loved it it really was the best, but my mom had to stay in cali to finish her college, so after a year in OKC I left to cali to spend a year with my mom, I really want to go back to oklahoma, but I don’t think that will happen because my dad got fired and they never said why (probably because of his medical problems) all I want is to move back People always think it’s weird that I prefer Oklahoma over cali, but truly Oklahoma is the best state, the best city is Boston but OKC is a close second. There’s so much worth in OKC from its amazing food, being faaaar better than calis food, it’s culture, and quietness
@@-OAK- we will already have outgrown our infrastructure in a few years. Plus, OKC is just the right size. I drive a truck and drive through all of these massive cities and the population density can be unbearable. Just my opinion though. I would love a MLB franchise though.
@@damonmabry1607 well I’m estimating that the American heartland theme-park and the legends tower (if they are built) would draw in a ton of tourists, which will also lead to a faster growth in population, and especially for vinita where the theme park is going to be, almost every town that gets a major theme park 10x in population in 20 years and reaches 300k in 70, so the population draw in from that theme park with definitely make people move to OKC to

Thanks for watching the channel! "Dallas-Lite" is a great way to describe OKC. I might have to borrow that.😉

Looking to escape California...my research shows Oklahoma is the best value

Tulsa Ok is so much nicer than OKC.
Cool. Thanks for watching
Stop encouraging people to move here! I enjoy your videos though.
Lol....thanks for the compliment and watching the channel.
Why? The more people the more likely we get more stuff to make it even better, and the higher chance we get a mlb or nfl team

@@-OAK- I'm really excited about that and you're right, it's going to be a huge draw.
