I personally like the design considering they'll be just one of many creatures in any of the biomes- but they definitely need to update the tech used for them and give them more animations. I remember how awesome it was when we got footing based on where we were standing so we weren't clipping or floating- they need at least that much at release. People need to realise these most likely aren't natural animals. They're man made- there to fill a niche in their biome after we've terraformed a planet. Or at least we pulled them from a planet habitable by us and modified them to suit a range of biomes. So I think they're cool AF honestly. CIG just needs to put the work in so they don't seem like robots put here to break our immersion. As their lore spreads and their tech is fixed I think a lot more people will like them!

I'm glad we got fauna but they surely need some work, especially the ground placement and range of animations :)

The animation has to be improved. It acts a little too NPCish. Normally animals stay still and move ever so slightly. Has to have more animation files added so it doesn't repeat the same ones over and over.

It’s always cool for immersion, but I’ll never be under impression im not playing a game. Just have it up to DayZ levels and immersion won’t be effected

guessing planet tech v5, may be helping them stand on hills properly.
I hope stuff like that improves with the next level.

Sadly nonlethal hasn’t worked for me. The best option I’ve found is to “scoop” them up by clipping through the cargo floor of a ship haha!
Empyrion spiders, with Srar Citizens graphics, would be nightmare fuel😮

Where can you sell the horns?
I believe most shops will accept these, although I didn’t test it myself!
@@ViciDeum None of the ones I tried accepted them. I tried admin shops, gun/armor shops, mining shops, and clothing shops.

I love that we are getting creatures but I already can see they hae this video game demon creatue logic. Meaning they have zero attrebutes of a species that as evolved to survive and are supposed to only look menacing. Basically help us not feel so bad for killing them lol. Yes we have alien worlds and we can let out fatasies run wild, but referance a biology book or something to at least establish guideline and constrains when designing. Anyway, I hope they add some sort of ranger gameplay and or capture like they did in the sequels of Jurassic Park. How cool would it be to have to capture escaped boralis stalkers and return them or something along those lines. Not to mention vehicle modefications and armor kits
I agree, I felt remorse hunting Kopions! And I'd love meaningful ranger gameplay and other fun gameplay opportunities with fauna!

Everyone has something they specialize in. CIG is showing that this is something that want to get into the verse but since this is also something thats completely new, it might take a little time to master.
Appreciate what we have been given and understand that improvements will come.

@@jnh8057 I'm satisfied with a lot of things in SC but these are not one of them. Level of fidelity is just lower then rest of the game so it kinda stands out. These feel like WoW npcs. Sure, desync doesn't help but they feel way to much as mindless mob designated to be "farmed" rather then animal with survival instinct. It just isn't good enough for SC. But than again, it's first attempt, so it's whatever for now.
I feel like they should have waited few more updates to improve the aliens. Feels to early

If CIG can't take constructive criticism they are in the wrong business. The best time for feedback is early on. These creatures are not up to their standard.
I think they look bad. Like they're trying so hard to look alien and obviously the animations are extremely stiff.
As the first fauna in game, I think they did a great job! Definitely room for improvement, but as a starting point (like with ships) means it'll likely only get better from here!
@@ViciDeum is it the first? I thought the space cows were. Anyway, that's besides the point. Humm...I think my biggest issue is that these things don't look like real bioligical organisms. They look like the idea of something alien and sleek that wants to look manacing and cool....it kinda looks like a creature from WoW tbh and that's not good. An example that I could give is with the ships. In order to create awesome spaceships the devs need to first master and deeply understand real aviation and engineering to create something actually belivable, even if it isn't real. Same with biology. In order to do that they first need to deeply understand evolution, the fauna and flora of the enviroment such creatures would inhabit, study natural behaviors and evolutionary paths and than come up with an idea of an echosystem and implement creatures accordingly. If it seems complicated is because it is, but I would expect nothing less from such a talented and visionary team armed with more than half a billion usd in budget. They do it with the planets and ships and that's why this game is so great and breathtaking.

People crap on Starfield, but I would rather hunt in Starfield than in Star Citizen.
Starfield is a polished AAA! But SC will get fauna in a good state well before release!
They look like a mount from WoW, or a mob from Raid Shadow Legends.
I mean yeah ok the model is good, nice zBrush, but the design is cringe af.

@@ViciDeum Not really subjective to have a fantasy creature into a realistic simulation.
No need for subjectivity as an excuse when the design itself is comically stylized compared to being "realistically grounded".

What in the intern made garbage is that? Ive seen animals on a PS3 that look and act more realistic than those things. 700 million dollar game BTW.

Looks pretty bad. I've seen lots of better looking creature in other Alpha state game but this is just the worst.
