  • A Brief overview of how I have been treating and sowing black locust, honey locust, and Kentucky coffee tree seeds. These are really fun species to work with but without some sort of seed treatment germination results can be very low. This hot water bath method is simple and effective. If all goes well this season I will have some of these trees for sale come fall. I offer shipping and local pickup, reach out if you are interested !

Do you ever transplant black locust suckers? I have several of those trees but have yet to try it.

I haven’t tried that but I think you would be successful. I’m fairly certain they can be propagated by root fragments so suckers should work well
