Huh?
The speech is an equivocation between algorithms and filters. Natural selection is a filter not an algorithm. This is why the analogies are examples of algorithmic intelligent design (like the Legos). Show me an example of a creative filter that can be produced without an algorithm. This is the problem with computer simulations of evolution.
If I were her, I would not agree to be interviewed on your channel until you speak to the abject objectivication so many of your viewers are engaging in. It's maddening. It's also disappointing that you aren't doing anything about it. The comments on the full length video of her talk are even worse. As a female in science, I can assure you that this kind of bs is seen all the way to the top and is insidiously damaging. It takes men to stand up to other men for a much need shift to truly occur.
She is the best assembled astrobiologist I have ever seen
visually, FAX!!!
She would get my full attention if I was in class.
Yeh. She said something like-"I don't consider myself as an individual" :) No. Not at all :) She just reminds me that there are actually some other women in this world
@@kubexiuwent right over you
It's refreshing to see any luminary of the scientific domain-female, or otherwise-whose ontological framework actually respects leg day.
The amazing Sara Walker!
I noticed the greater that technology gets, the more we realize that this universe is truly infinite.
Isn’t that an ancient belief?
True but many scientists had trouble with the idea, till quantum physics became _acceptable_ 🧐
@BoltRM Yes and I bet those scientists are just humans
@@tedgunderson67 yup.
@@towerofresonance4877 it’s strange the intuition of mankind may have been accurate. Without divine guidance the chances seem slim.
❤🎉 thank you for doing this
Was Sophia turned on in Sara's lecture ??
Is there Sophia's interpretation of Sara's lecture??
I only see. My ears don't work.
Bummer
@@plexus exactly
I think some interested party just tried to influence me into writing a poem on this video about assembly theory by responding to my comment and deleting the thread.
Anyways interesting content.
Causally structured time makes a lot of sense.
All came out of vacuum, life as well. Our roots must be in the vacuum and we know it's not empty.
By determining the constancy of speed, all experiments and Michelson-Morley experiments are indirect and incomplete. If the Michelson-Morley experiment was carried out on a bus or airplane and was used to determine speed. only then will this experience be direct. Therefore, Einstein does not rely on the Michelson-Morley experiment. Question. Do you have an example of such direct experience?
Slime mold can solve mazes. That's a Really alien mind. How would we "talk" to slime mold?
So heads of Universities also fall into the creepy CEO/Movie studios category eh?!
Where's the origin of life in this talk? Did it never arrive?
this is java code laguage concepts aplied to physical reality. Jave came as analogy from physical reality though
Whats the point? Did she just said the sky is blue?
But at least I can understand it, unlike what Cumrun Vafa talks about 😄😄
That @$$🤭
congrats to whoever was able to understand anything.
how the fuck do you end up on a page like this while being that stupid

i'de let her teach me a thing or 2, sorry sometimes i read other commenters minds and write what they think.
Was one of those things that was just a little bit too trivial and obvious. Like a single trajectory in a Monte Carlo simulation. Can you resconstruct the whole MC Simulation from one path and then infer the common constraints, control and maybe selection, random otherwise.
As always, it is best to start with a simple example and generalise than the other way around..
Sara is my abio waifu
I have degrees and I understand proper scientific language.
I don't understand this woman's mode of speach at all.
whos listening? that booty though
From what I've heard of her ideas; It seems she's proposing an alternative epistemic basis for modelling biochemical / biomemetic structures/development pathways in ~"four dimensional" (T+k) hypergraphs with special attention to self-similarity & combinadics. So, like, spec-evo or Everettian biochem meets phylogenetics built on a (relatively) "fresh" axiomatic system (/vignette)? She's interested in understanding abiogenis for n=1 & with a view on "for all n".
Can we make a gofundme to buy Sophia a hat or a beanie or something?
@@plexus her curls are cool, can we buy you some rocks, a glass house, and a brain cell instead?
Voice is grating.
Pretty normal voice.
Your life must be miserable if something like her voice is so grating. Or you must not have met many women.
That voice...😅
Is she single tho?
She's married to the game
