From "Metallic Assault: A Tribute to Metallica". Line-up: Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio; drums) Scott Ian (guitar) Billy Milano (Method of Destruction; vocals) Phil Soussan (Johnny Hallyday, Ozzy Osbourne; bass)
I love Anthrax Doing Covers Period. I Know This Is Only Billy Milano & Scott Ian. I have A rare Ac/dc Tribute Cd With Anthrax Doing "Walk All Over You" W/ Dee Snider Singing. I Love It.
People who trash on covers completely miss the point of why bands do covers. Covers are meant to be an ode to another band in terms of artistic appreciation and it is a cross marketing strategy on the industry side of music (credibility/recognition). Doing a cover really has nothing to do with a band thinking they can do another band's song "better", that type of talk is just jibber jabber among fans of the bands to create debate... which is precisely what bands try to provoke by doing covers in the first place. lol, silly rabbits. Enjoy the music.
i always felt like the Met brushed up against thrash but kept their musical options closer to metal where as SOD, DRI, Anthrax all committed to the genre ...This is why the Met is legend...they appeal to a larger audience crossing sub genres..hell, I even heard a country version of 'nothing else maters'
billy Milano. I just bought a remastered speak English or die. extra studio tracks and a concert from Tokyo were included. I'm pretty happy. it's one of the best metal albums ever!!
the Japanese concert stuff from the remastered speak English or die is from japan in the 90's billy Milano is a funny fucker!! he reminds me of Andrew dice clay when he is talking with the audience. and the band sounds great! I like anthrax fine. the whole big four thing is bullshit. I think everybody knows it. with bands like exodus, overkill, testament and sepulture (just off the top of my head) making a better big 4 or something. tho I love every slayer album. they deserve it I think!!
+gregory clewell I'll have to look it up. Billy would blow people apart with his non-PC lyrics. There was nothing he didn't make fun of. Fat girls, aids, dead people, Arabs... Scotty has some great riffs and plays so damn fast. The concept of fucking around, making absurd songs and not giving a shit about offending people works great. Live at The Budokan is my favorite. The concert is actually on youtube. When Speak English or Die goes into Raining Blood, well that's just bad ass.
Late at night, all systems go You have come to see the show We do our best you're the rest You make it real you know There is a feeling deep inside That drives you fuckin' mad A feeling of a hammerhead You need it oh so bad Adrenaline starts to flow You're thrashing all around Acting like a maniac Whiplash! Bang your head against the stage Like you never did before Make it ring make it bleed Make it really sore In a frenzied madness With your leather and your spikes Heads are bobbing all around It is hot as hell tonight Adrenaline starts to flow You're thrashing all around Acting like a maniac Whiplash! Here on stage the Marshall noise Is piercing through your ears It kicks your ass kick your face Exploding feeling nears Now is the time to let it rip To let it fuckin' loose We are gathered here to maim and kill Because this is what we choose Adrenaline starts to flow You're thrashing all around Acting like a maniac Whiplash! The show is through The metal is gone It is time to hit the road Another town another gig Again we will explode Hotel rooms and motorways Life out here is raw But we will never stop We will never quit Because we are Metallica Adrenaline starts to flow You're thrashing all around Acting like a maniac Whiplash!
There are only a few Metallica songs I would trust S.O.D. to remake well and this is one of them (maybe Seek And Destroy, Metal Militia, and/or Fight Fire With Fire would be good as well). I think Billy's vocals "fit" this song perfectly.
It's Billy Milano, singer of M.O.D. He was also the singer of S.O.D., an alternative band of Anthrax. I'm not sure, everybody keeps going saying this song is from Anthrax, but i believe is from S.O.D. I think because the sound is more heavier, and S.O.D. was Anthrax without Belladona/Bush and Dan Spitz.
There was just a freaking COVER WAR between 'TALLICA and Motorhead...... And (Justice For All?) Anthrax, we have both Anthrax and Motorhead covering Whiplash (Great song!) and Enter Sandman (Also a great song!) and we have 'Tallica covering Motorhead's, what was it? Stone Dead Forever! (Amazing song, again.)
This isn't Anthrax, this cover was made by various artists in a tribute album and if I remember correctly Charlie is on the bass and Robb is on lead guitar, that probably why in the internet say it's a cover made by Anthrax
3:41 We're Metallica
RESPECT
Agreed my friend.
From "Metallic Assault: A Tribute to Metallica". Line-up:
Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio; drums)

This isnt Anthrax! This is a bold courageous man (Billy Milano)and his band of stormtroopers of death!!😈
Billy Milano, Scott Ian, Philip Soussan, and Vinny Appice recorded this cover for "Metallic Assault: A Tribute to Metallica."
Sounds like Belladona has a bit of a cold...
I love Anthrax Doing Covers Period. I Know This Is Only Billy Milano & Scott Ian. I have A rare Ac/dc Tribute Cd With Anthrax Doing "Walk All Over You" W/ Dee Snider Singing. I Love It.
I laughed my ass of at that part! You know it wouldn't have been a crime for Anthrax to change that part!

Jonathan Rossignol not to mention the fact that every band started out doing covers of bands that influenced them.
Totally but Anthrax got the time is way better than J. Jackson version

billy Milano. I just bought a remastered speak English or die. extra studio tracks and a concert from Tokyo were included. I'm pretty happy. it's one of the best metal albums ever!!
I like SOD & MOD more than Anthrax. Shit was hilarious and brutal.
the Japanese concert stuff from the remastered speak English or die is from japan in the 90's billy Milano is a funny fucker!! he reminds me of Andrew dice clay when he is talking with the audience. and the band sounds great! not Anthrax....but part of the "Family"
the singer is "Billy Milano", from S.O.D. and M.O.D.
What i don't understand is why there are not many bands playing Anthrax songs covers. They are a great band with incredible songs.
Worship was when they really really found their sound idkw it took so fckn long but hey that’s just what I think lol
To be fair... it is Scott Ian Charlie Benante and Dan linker so it's most of the original Anthrax lineup
Suer bikin goyang ni lagu....awesome
Cool cover. Sounds cool. I like it

Men is Confusing because there is a band called Whiplash and they wrote a song called Anthrax x'D

Late at night, all systems go
You have come to see the show
We do our best you're the rest
You make it real you know
There is a feeling deep inside
That drives you fuckin' mad
A feeling of a hammerhead
You need it oh so bad
Adrenaline starts to flow
You're thrashing all around
Acting like a maniac
Whiplash!
Bang your head against the stage
Like you never did before
Make it ring make it bleed
Make it really sore
In a frenzied madness
With your leather and your spikes
Heads are bobbing all around
It is hot as hell tonight
Adrenaline starts to flow
You're thrashing all around
Acting like a maniac
Whiplash!
Here on stage the Marshall noise
Is piercing through your ears
It kicks your ass kick your face
Exploding feeling nears
Now is the time to let it rip
To let it fuckin' loose
We are gathered here to maim and kill

It is time to hit the road
Another town another gig

You're thrashing all around
Acting like a maniac
Whiplash!

There are only a few Metallica songs I would trust S.O.D. to remake well and this is one of them (maybe Seek And Destroy, Metal Militia, and/or Fight Fire With Fire would be good as well). I think Billy's vocals "fit" this song perfectly.
