Sadly not the case. At a certain point you will need a high end pedal.

@Evixus-gr1dm I totally get what your saying, a nicer pedal can respond better.. I play a nice pedal. What I mean is you can still play really well on any pedal if you take the time to see how it hits.

@@jessetarr2771 ohh yeah ofc. Just saying you could forget playing 290 bpm with a shitty pedal. But anything up to 200 is still possible no matter the pedal

@Evixus-gr1dm iron cobras are great mid range imo. Had an original and a 600.
I play a yamaha dfp9, so responsive. I also have a speed cobra 910. Although it isn't quite as responsive as the yamaha , the sustain/control on it to hold doubles out longer feels great. Love playing other pedals to play differently from their unique strengths.

Hello! I want to start drumming, but i have no idea how. I got a practice pad and have been doing some rudiments for a few months, but I dont know where to go from here. Do you recommend any tips or suggestions for what i could do next?

I would say if you know that you are going to be consistent with it, go and buy a cheap beginner kit. I got one for about €300. A 5 piece kit including a hi hat and and crash/ride. A kit for €300 is not going to be great quality, but it’s good as it’s not a waste of a lot of money if you end up not going ahead with the passion, but it’s also good as you can upgrade the kit piece by piece as you gain more experience. That’s my take.

I also never got lessons, I just got my kit and started to play. Nowadays especially there’s so many resources online you can to teach take you from beginner to intermediate level etc..

If your ready to graduate from the practice pad I’d look at getting a kit. Also this would be a great thing to post in the drums subreddit and I’m sure you’ll get a lot of great answers! Welcome to the drum world dude!
